Came in tonight for all you can eat ribs, AH-MAY-ZING. Honestly the best ribs I've ever had, the fries were to die for and the manager Kristen was very nice, respectful, and welcoming. Went there over the weekend and let me just say I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN! Everything I ordered came out cold and not cooked all the way. Ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu Balls and the inside was ice cold. The cheese wasnt even melted. Than I odered the skirt steak and it was way over cooked and hard as a rock. The mashed potatoes were ice cold and when I told the waitress she said she would get me new ones. 2 seconds later she came back with the same ones because she just stuck them in the microwave. I love it here. The food is delicious, the portions are generous. The staff is very pleasant and if there happens to be a complaint or concern, they take care of the problem right away. Last night friends and I decided to eat here last night. The food was delicious but the service was atrocious and unacceptable. Let's start with the waitresses attitude from the minute we sat down. She comes over and asked us what we wanted. I'm not even kidding that's what how she asked. "What do you want" not hi how are you, have you decided what you wanted. So we placed our food order and then she stairs at us like we had three heads each. Then she goes to walk away and we had to get her attention so we can order our drinks. So she comes back and we asked for water and my friend asks for a soda. Her response was "well how many do you want" she was the only one who ordered a soda... then looks at us like she was on some kind of drug. Then walks away. We get our food and it was wrong and we ate it anyways. We needed refills on our drinks and every time the waitress walked passed we call her for and she ignored our table. Then after almost an hour she decided to grace us with her presence. We asked for refills and for dessert. She brings us a half ass dessert. I've eaten here many times before and the staff are usually great during the week. They are friendly and make you feel comfortable. Given that I am a frequent customer I know how the food comes and I told her. We're missing toppings and she brings back the plate and goes "does that look better to you" she's the one who was lazy and did a half ass job. The anger that flowed through my blood last night reached an all time level. The lever of disrespect and attitude from this women who clearly didn't care about her job or the people she was serving was something I've never experienced anywhere before but only in a tv show. I ate at this restaurant on Friday 7/17/09 with my husband and another couple. The dismal decor set the mood of what became a very interesting evening. After ordering our meal from a very friendly waitress we were surprised to find on our plates what looked liked an episode from Fear Factor. I had crab that resembled a wad of gum and had the consistency of playdoh. (SHOCKING!) I really really believe that half of what we ordered was previously frozen. My friend actually took one bite of her fish & had to send it back. It tasted really bad and was falling apart and was gooey. How do you screw up Tilapia? Well I have to say the manager was very kind & was more than happy to replace my friends' meal even though she declined. For the amount of money we spent the quality of the food just wasn't there. I am a big fan of Popei's on Wantaugh pkwy,so when I couldn't get reservations I decided to try the one in Coram. I should have waited. The bread which I love was soggy rather than crunchy, the food (the shrimp and cajan fries was bland, and the steak was over cooked). But this reviewer went for dinner and while the Over Stuffed Baked Clams - $8.99 with Bacon, cheese and shrimp is a must have it also served as the entrée for one and was 4 Stars as usual. While I ate the Broiled Combo Platter $22.99 with Shrimp, scallops, stuffed flounder, baked clam, stuffed shrimp and stuffed mushroom that is in where the problem was, the Shrimp were overcooked and chewy, stuffed flounder lacked taste along with the mushrooms the bright spot was the awesome scallops and the very good clam. The double garlic bread bowl was a welcome addition to the meal. The Reeses Peanut Butter Pie $6.99 was a nice closer along with the Cappuccino. Water was not given at the table nor was the table set upon arrival. Service was good was not rushed though the placed seemed hopping. Sitting at the bar an eating the specials is a much better bang for the buck and your taste buds. In the end there are many who swear by this place but the Dining Room leaves much to be desired, have had better seafood at chains. read more

Save your soul. My fiancé and I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. We went in before dinner time and there were maybe 5 tables sat in the place. You would figure service might be quicker...wrong. We were in there at least an hour and a half. The majority of the time was waiting to be acknowledged by our waitress and then waiting for our food. My fiancé ordered a steak which he likes medium well/well done. She didn't seem to get it and suggested just doing medium well because you can't un-cook the steak...makes sense. When she brought the steak out it wasn't done enough and we asked to have it put back on for a little which came with an attitude of "I knew this was going to happen." Okay great well we did communicate what we wanted. We had to keep asking for everything napkins ketchup all the basic things that should be there. There was a younger man in there who must have been aware of the lack of attention to our table, because he was checking in to see what we needed and then went to hunt our waitress down. To top it off it took 20 minutes to get our check. Anyways if you're looking to really kill time this is a great place, if you aren't stay clear. Food is ehh. read more

Well because of the good words of joe, I came back to try this location again. I came and sat in the outside bar area. I was greeted promptly and given a soda. A blonde and friendly bartender. She then disappeared for a time because she was extremely busy running around. She then returned and did a shot of alcohol with customers sitting across from me. She was very cooperative and got me a salad of only romaine lettuce but forgot my lemon for my diet soda. I've been sitting ten minutes and no garlic bread or soup yet. I hope she won't get upset if I ask for hot sauce and a refill of soda....if I find her. It appears that they're understaffed right now- 12:32p.m. on Thursday, September 3. I must say though, the blue cheese dressing is great. I've had plenty of time to think about it as I'm still awaiting bread and my soup after another 5 minutes has gone by. Maybe THE Kitchen Is All DOING Shots too. Food came now and no soup or bread. She actually asked to cover my food here outside while she go and get the soup and bread-why would I want it now? Seriously? And my food will attract bugs and get cold. The bread should be crisp but there's was soggy however warm at room temperature. Seafood trio came. I loved the sea scallops. So soft and big. Great place for happy hour, wings and friendly bar service. Bartenders are great, good service.....fun to go watch the game on the many TV's they have around the bar, even outside too. The seating area out there is nice, cute bar and patio. They have live music occassionally back there too. However, the food is just going downhill. It was never outstanding, but it just keeps getting worse. I don't understand how they call this a seafood place, when it is just plain awful. Ordered seafood tacos and the shredded cheese was spoiled and the taco shells were stale. Sent it back. My bf's burger was ok, but fries were soggy. Came there after purchasing the restaurant.com certificate online fir $25 towards our minimum purchase of $50 . I presented it to the waitress she got the owner and the owner said she did not authorize anyone to set up a Restaurant.com account,and they were hacked so they couldn't honor the $25 certificate I had purchased. After she saw I was not accepting this, she told me that she would take $20 off the bill not 25 and I needed to validate the coupon anyway !!!! So I was out the five dollars it's not the money it's the principle -it was the owner I will never go back there again and I hope everyone is made aware that they do not honor coupons that they put out online !! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was good but not great. It came out quickly and correct. Their menu is very large so you will have plenty of choices. I can't believe this place is still around. Last visit all members in our party ordered the all you can eat crab legs which tasted like they were cooked in a vast of ocean water. So I wanted to write a bad review because I was pissed! It started off with us visiting my father in law so we decided on placing an order through seamless, it's a 70 min wait but we weren't starving so we were ok with that!! Our food comes and we have no silverware, there is no dressing for the salad , and we asked for extra sauce and didn't get that... I call to find out how we can get the dressing, no one even knows what I'm talking about when I mention I placed the order through seamless !! I then talk to 3 different people before I get a guy that wants to credit us! I'm like "we ordered a salad and have no dressing I don't want a credit I want to be able to eat the salad" he seems annoyed takes my information and says they will get it out to me! I wait 40 mins before I call back to see what's going on. I get a lady on the phone that explains to me she contacted the delivery people and doesn't know why they haven't called me. I explain to her the whole situation and how unsatisfied I am, not only does she actually sound like she wants to help! She offers to make a new order and deliver it personally!! Honestly it changed my whole entire perception on the place!! Things like that keep me having hope for humanity!!! The food was good!! We brought my mother in for mothers day.. Not only was it loud and obnoxious, I think we saw drug activity in the bar area. We visited Popei's Clam Bar this evening for dinner and had the crab cakes and steamers! Absolutely terrific!! But I have to say, The staff was PHENOMENAL!! My daughter and I frequent restaurants in Suffolk and Nassau County each Friday or Saturday evening and this restaurant stood out of the crowd!!! Our server Jamie was such a great server and sweet girl, and then Deanna came over to help our waitress and it got EVEN BETTER. The personality and attentiveness was beyond our expectations!! The owner, who by the way we did not know was the owner, Trish was so lovely and delightful!! "Cheech" my daughter, as she likes be known RAVED about our experience. We will absolutely be back. I have notified friends and family with our experience. As a mother of an autistic 17 year old, I was very moved by the attention and patience we were given. The food is good but can be pricey. They have a great bar menu after 10 pm. They also have a great lunch menu , and a nice bar area.

Had The "Olympian" Burger and it was Amazing!! Shark week specials were awesome and Marlee our waitress was fantastic!!!

I've been to the deer park location and think that the food were excellent and the workers were really friendly. Thinking that the coram location would be the same I took my family there last night and was very disappointed (disappointed with the food). I added a whole lobster to the popei'special dish and the additional charge was double the amount from the deer park location (but I agreed to pay thinking it would be fresh). The lobster was not fresh. It barely had any meat in it - mostly the water. The scallops were very Chewey. There were bad mussels which the oder was horrible. The entire dish was very light tasted - it seems that the chef forgot to taste it before serving this dish. We also ordered the Steamers combo and we barely see any steamers and clams - mostly mussels which a few had bad oder. The portion was smaller too I think. The baked clams tasted really good but I only found one tiny piece of clam :( This will be my first and last time going to the coram location. Two thumbs up for the workers though - they were very friendly :) I recommend you try the deer park location if you have never been there. read more
