Went through the drive-through placed my order "There was no one in front of me nor in the lot, " I ordered the three-piece tenders "spicy dinner " wanted to get fries and coleslaw for 1st dinner. They said they were out of slaw , so I got a double order of fries with that dinner, and for the 2nd, I ordered a double portion of red beans and rice. Checked the bag, and it appeared as though everything was there, due to how they wrapped it up, but, of course, when I got home, no red beans and rice to be seen anywhere. Needless to say I will not be returning nor recommending anyone to go there. I wish I had read the reviews before I decided to stop there. I believe that their reputation from years ago is what drew me to try their chicken. I think it's really sad when the owner of a business puts the employees in the position to offer poor service due to minimal supplies or no supplies to fulfill customer demand. There is a warning of sorts that is posted on the front door before entering that if you have any problems to contact the District Manager equivalent first. That should have been the signal that says, Don't Do it! In my case I did a mobile order that included cole slaw. When I arrived at the restaurant employees were chatting / argung amongst themselves and finally someone asked what my order was, and then one mumbled they didn't have any coleslaw. When I got my order I did get the mashed potatoes I asked for and wouldn't you know it I got a box of fries, when I asked about my coleslaw she said we're out so we gave you fries. Think about that for a moment, I mean Popeyes is a nutritional disaster to begin with, but mashed potatoes and fries, seriously? I have gone to the Reading location on three different occasions and only once was I able to get food I went into the restaurant one time and when I got through the door I was told the inside was closed! I have never had a great time experience at this Popeyes. Even in my childhood. I'm surprised they are still open at this point. They are always either out of something or something isn't working. Today was no different. I ordered my combo and waited (because there is no going to this Popeyes without slow service). I make it to the window for a very rude young lady to tell me "oh our card thing ain't working and I ain't got no coin change". The girl gives me some sorta clear beverage...thinking my order got confused with the one behind me I tell the girl nicely I wanted rootbeer please and hand it back to her. I have NEVER encountered an employee at any restaurant with such a horrible, nasty attitude towards a customer. This is the most rude and absolutely DISGUSTING establishment and after my experience last night, I turned them in to corporate! First, the staff was so rude... I would call them out by name but seeing as how NONE of them (including the manager) was wearing a badge, that makes it difficult. This is the best place that could have happened to our business across the street. We frequent here often, and everything is so good and prices are very fair. They always are running specials. Staff always overly friendly, every single time. Always smiling, quick and efficient. Huge shout out to Ray the manager who took care of a detailed catering order for us. It was a large order with specific instructions, and they were happy to follow everything to the letter, even though it made it a little more difficult on their staff. Everytime I ordered a 3 piece white meat and each time received a breast and a wing.
