Less than 1 star . I paid 37 dollars for a meal that came with the taped bag ripped open with chicken at the bottom of the bag . The chicken was in the danger zone temperature and old. How is this place still open?! Oh right, it barely is (Lobby is always closed). So my sister and I put in an order online to pick up through their drive thru. They forgot to give us our drink. Only gave us half of what we ordered and instead of telling us they were out of "beignets" they just stuffed an apple pie (which costed less) in our bag and said there you go. After we went home and found out what was missing (we should have checked but we were in a rush) we called the restaurant multiple times with no response. So we drove ALL the way back and the workers/manager were rude, told us they did nothing wrong. In addition to their unwillingness to compromise or compensate us, the manager (or worker) that communicated with us had a heavy Indian accent, with a language barrier we tried working things out but he was not friendly, uncooperative and plain out RUDE. Order with app and selected pickup. Dining room closed and no one answered phone. Ended up having to wait in the drive thru line for 25 minutes. Consistently mess up orders, forget to give you things you paid for and are sometimes just downright rude. Tried ordering off of their drive thru menu and they said that they haven't had that item for two weeks. When I said I'm looking at it on their physical menu in front of me, the man claimed that corporate governs their menu display and they can't control it. This happened with two different items. The most recent visit, I ordered a dessert, a strawberry donut thing. Upon arriving at work, I inspected my bag and found that it was not inside. This specific location is very inconsistent and lacks the customer service aspect it's supposed to deliver. My family and I decided to conduct our own chicken strip challenge. We chose Popeyes as well as 3 other restaurants. We were greeted right away by the girl running the register. After we told her what we wanted she gave us a suggestion that saved us money and got us the same amount of food. The restaurant was clean and somewhat busy. We got our food. The chicken was delicious. Popeyes finished as the best chicken strips in the area. They were the best seasoned. The dipping sauces were okay nothing exciting. The sides were delicious. We had an great experience and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. read more

Now I have been here a few times, with me ordering food most recently. I like how I can go through the drive-thru, or even getting food delivered at my home. Convenient especially when I just want to stay at home, and don't want to go out. Ordering a 5 piece chicken tender meal with some cajun mashed potatoes and a biscuit really hit the spot. The food was not only made to order, but it actually tasted fresh, as well. Of course the food had the right amount of spices. I could taste the spiciness, but it didn't set my mouth on fire, which I really did appreciate. I think just several of these really fills me up. Of course it is always good to share, as a way to share the tasty crispy fried chicken. Maybe next time I might do another order or head through the drive-thru, if not busy, to try their world famous chicken sandwich. So very convenient either way. read more

This was one of the worst experiences of fast food lol. I pull up there are two people in front of me and it takes me 10 minutes to get to the order speaker. I then proceeded to order a three piece chicken and side of coleslaw and a pop, I pull up they give me my pop, they hand me my pop and my fingers slide into old greasy glob of Mayo on the side of my cup. The then tell me to pull up and around, I wait 9 more minutes. A man emerges saying "I bet you thought I forgot about you!" I laugh and pull away. I've never had any real issues here but tonight....I placed an order and I was supposed to get beans and rice instead they gave me mashed potatoes which I also did order. I ended up with 2 large mashed potatoes worth heavy and a small one and I asked for 4 apple pie but they didn't have it so I said no b ut I still got charged for it. I went and made my complaint and they gave me my apple pie. But they also have me a very small rice and beans which I said that wasn't part of the deal. I ordered a number 6, they gave me a number 3. I ordered 2 bbq that I was charged for, I got no sauce. The meal was cold and soggy pile. When I went to take a bite out of the biscuit, there clearly was already a bite taken out of it. So, at that point, I decided to drive all the way back for a refund. First Time ever having the "Chicken Sandwich" and likely the last, mine was hot and fresh, the breading crispy, and also pretty oily. The coating had little flavor against the excessive mayo. The chicken itself was at first good, and quickly changed to terrible. The middle was warm, chewy, slightly pink and frankly nasty and a bit under cooked. Waited over 40 minute no food, someone walked out and I asked about my order. He came back and said he didn't have a order on his end and there was nothing they could do. He gave me owners phone number and thesaid he would not make my food even though I had he receipt and the proof on my bank info that I made the purchase there only solution was to drive through drive thru and order again! When the food got here it was missing the entire chicken sandwich meal. Tried to call the restaurant 5 times, no one answers. The last time someone even picked up and hung up without saying anything. I've been a Popeye's fan for years. I Ordered the 16 piece family meal Friday at the new Coon Rapids Popeye's. The sign said, "Family Meal, $19.99, 16 Pieces, includes 3 large sides" The order rang up at $35.99. I asked how it went from $19.99 to $35? The woman at the register said the $19.99 was for chicken only. I pointed to the sign, "it says includes 3 large sides." She saw that the sign said that, and called for Z or Zeke the manager. He came to the front and told me that price was for chicken only. I said, "That's not what the sign says. Don't you have to give it to me at that price?" He laughed and said, "No". Then he said,"Yeah, what do you want me to do about it. It ain't free." Then walked away. I ordered a scaled down order. The only reason I didn't just leave was because I promised my kids Popeye's for supper. While waiting, Zeke got on the phone and the menu board then changed to correct the price.
