That's what makes its decline so frustrating to watch. For what feels like a year or so now, every problem is met with the same explanation: "Sorry, it's a new person in the kitchen." At some point, that excuse stops being believable. Constant turnover isn't bad luck--it's a sign that something is fundamentally wrong. The food quality has become wildly inconsistent. On my latest visit, the fries were so undercooked that some were essentially raw potatoes. The boneless wings were dry and overcooked to the point of being tough. The bone-in wings were questionable enough that I lost my appetite. The best word I can use to describe the meal is simply: ick. The servers deserve better. They work hard, stay professional, and often seem stuck apologizing for problems they didn't create. What concerns me most is the management. On multiple visits, I've watched the manager Josh speak down to employees in a way that no customer should be hearing and no employee should have to endure. I've seen staff members visibly upset and even reduced to tears. When customers can hear employees being talked down to, there is a leadership problem. The owner needs to pay attention. When employees leave, new kitchen staff constantly rotate through, customers hear the same excuses over and over, and food that was once consistently excellent becomes a gamble, the problem isn't the newest person in the kitchen. The problem is the culture being created by management. After 35+ years as a loyal customer, this is not a review I ever expected to write. What was once one of the most reliable restaurants in town now feels like a business surviving on its reputation while quality, morale, and standards continue to decline. The saddest part is that I remember how good this place used to be.

This facility is located in the far west end of the strip mall at the corner of Dupont and Coldwater Road. It's opposite the Kroger and more toward Casa's. Easy in and easy out as there is parking close to the store. The store is kinda large (at least seemed that way today as it was empty) clean and in good repair. The team was very friendly. The place was slow so we had very attentive service. The food and drink menu is fairly large. They gave a full bar with lots of TV's. Nice place to relax, talk and watch a game. As for the food...I really don't expect a lot from these type of franchise places. I did find the onion rings to be pretty good. Nice meaty piece of onion with a thick batter. Slight crunchy breading - not too oily. No special sauce served with this. Just ketchup if you need it. My wife really liked the grilled chicken bacon wrap. Fresh ingredients and tasty. The pizza sauce was also hard to distinguish. The pizza is so full of toppings and cheese that you really don't see the sauce. The sauce that was they are blended well with the American sausage base. Now the best part - the fresh toppings! Laycoff's uses the Pizza King approach by using finely chopped toppings. The base of the Everything pizza is a finely ground American sausage. The base of the pizza so completely covered with sausage on the Everything choice. The sausage doesn't have much spice or flair as it is American style instead of Italian. The pepperoni is very thin. The fresh and slightly crunchy onions and peppers are chopped into small pieces. Even the green and black olives seemed to be smaller. The whole pizza was coated in delicious tasting mozzarella cheese. As I mentioned the 16 inch pizza is a large pizza. Laycoff's cuts the pizza into large pieces as well. This pizza could easily feed 3-4 people. Cold Pizza Test - I always want to try the pizza the next morning, cold, and for breakfast. This pizza was outstanding cold and as a left over.
