I got wings with the Mac n cheese and red beans and rice and everything was flavorful and more than enough for one person. I've been to Popeyes all over the country and this one does not taste like they use the seasoning. I've tried a few times but I give up. If you prefer no seasoning and small chicken this is your place. I only grab biscuits here now. read more

I gave my info to the cashier. She then went in the back and did all sorts of things, then after a few minutes came out and handed me the bag that was sitting behind her all along. Then when I got home, I saw my order was screwed up. Of the 5 thighs I ordered, 3 were breasts and one was just a chicken back. I tried to contact the company on line but got the automated help that was anything but helpful. Wouldn't let me put in any real information. Offered me a SMALL partial refund that refused. Then they responded, OK thank you, good bye. Well. good bye to Popeyes. There is a KFC not far from them. Next time, THEY will get my business. read more

Not the same chicken as last time I was here, years ago. Did not think much of the new thick breading used on the chicken. Also the chicken much less flavorful. The Cajun fries very good. The beans and rice boring. Not a memorable dinner at all. read more

My sister came here last night, ate her chicken sandwich & went to get her fries from the bag and a literal ROACH was in her fries!! She went into the restaurant to tell the staff about this, and they had the nerve to ask if she wanted something else. Didn't even offer a refund!!! read more

Welcome Popeye's to Route 58, the busiest spot on the east end.. where every smart retailer has found a spot.. Only a few remain left.... but everyone is here... From Tanger outlets on the west of the strip all the way down to the quieter east end of 58 where Popeye's set up.. Its going to get busier on this end...... I see more top brands coming to the east since most of the spots near Tanger are taken.. Like BJ's just setting up its gas station this end of the strip... should be a big draw as it is for Costco on the other end. Popeye's is at the top of the chicken food chain.. as is Chick fil A (who is not here). It turns out people aren't looking for sales and discount deals... they are looking for flavor. Down the road a few miles is tired old KFC, who can't come close to the packed parking lots of those two chains.. The new soft opening was up and running with experienced staff brought up from Popeye stores in South .. So the first day the food was better than other Popeye's I've tried.. day two ... and this time a bit overcooked but still ok.... The staff were friendly and the manager was on site watching all.... when they forgot my biscuit, he stepped over and sent me out two.. Friendly and open for business. So welcome Popeye's... The crowds were already here and will likely stay. read more

Always consistent! The chicken is crispy and best of all: not greasy! Cole slaw is good. For the last year, we use drive-through. It is quick. Price is good and it tastes great! We have the app on our phones and that keeps things moving. At the window on Rte 58, I asked for a jelly for my biscuit and when I arrived home, I was given 15 jelly packets for one biscuit. I was coming home from a soccer tournament and we ordered through Uber eats to pick up our food. When we arrived to Popeyes we walked in and said our names. They said okay and just started making our food. We ordered 30 minutes in advance and when we got there it took 25 minutes until we left. I will admit the food was very good but the service was awful. read more

Food was good but... I ordered an 8 piece meal. They didn't have it ready, but that was okay. I had time. I finally got it 10 min past the five quoted and when I got home I had 2 thighs 2 wings and four drumsticks WTF?!? Never again. For comparison KFC 8 PC consists of 2 BREASTS 2 thighs 2 wings and two drumsticks. read more

I am so glad to be able to get spicy chicken now vs having settle on that oversalted KFC.0 I find this to be like the average Popeyes I have visited in the past. The inside was clean as its still new. Staff was friendly and food was ok. The chicken was hot as I went at 11am. I found it well seasoned and not to greasy. The spicy was ok but not as spicy as I have had in other location. The sides I had were okay just wish the did not charge for a dipping sauce for fries. If at the outlet or the hotels by outlet it is about a 10 minute drive east. If craving chicken it is worth it. read more

This place is delicious if you know what to order. We get the 2 for $10 box with 6 chicken strips, 2 biscuits and 2 sides. The potatoes are good if you ask for NO gravy. The gravy is absolutely disgusting spicy and with weird spices in it. I ask for a side of butter for the potatoes and honey for the biscuits. The honey itself is only partially honey. It's mostly corn syrup. The chicken here is really good. The spicy tender strips are not very spicy so if you are looking for fire you need to ask for some hot sauce. The pecan pie is a basic grocery store pie and not very good. The crispy chicken sandwich is also good but expensive. This place can be very expensive for fast food if you order wrong. read more

Just got take out. The fries and chicken sandwich were ICE COLD!! Like right out of the fridge leftover tasting cold. My drink had no ice either. The combo meal was almost $9.00. No line at all at drive through. Now I know why. They were very fast because they were handing out cold food. Ridiculous. How lazy can you be??? read more

I called the restaurant after placing an order on doordash, told them I wanted 2 thighs, a drum stick and some ketchup and sweet heat sauce. I was told I can only have 2 of the sauce because I didnt order chicken tenders...anyways, my doordash driver dropped off my order and I looked in the bag there was no sauce at all! Not even ketchup and I got 2 drumsticks and a thigh instead of 2 thighs and 1 drum stick. Horrible customer service! read more

Popeye's in Riverhead worst ever. Their establishment does not participate in any of the televised specials. NO $5 box. No 2fer's. We got a 2 can dine special(ONLY SPECIAL THEY OFFER) which came with 1 plastic spork. I guess we were supposed to share the spoon(spork). I asked for a plastic knife and was told they don't offer knives. So we had to pick up a whole hot chicken breast and eat with our fingers. No plates offered either. No napkins anywhere other than the 4 we were given on the tray. While the chicken was tasty the pieces were small. Mostly breading. Very disappointed. Will not go back. KFC right down the road. If you want Popeye's go to the one on William Floyd Parkway. Much better! read more
