    Steak Chimichangas

Ok let me say first that I have been to this place a few times and never been wowed but was satisfied. I went back last night and was disappointed. First the positives, the ordering process and menu were easily accessible. When we arrived at the restaurant to pick up, the food was ready. The host was very nice and the inside of the restaurant was very nice! Now for the not so great, the food. I ordered the steak chimichangas, the portion size was good but nothing came with it, no salsa , no guacamole, no pico de gallo. The taste was pretty basic. Not really flavorful. My husband ordered the quesadillas, he said they were bland. The burrito bowl was the best item ordered. There was plenty of guacamole and pico de gallo. I think they need to work on the flavors . Sadly I won't be back

Amazing amazing amazing. Words do not give this review justice. Came here to celebrate my pre-birthday and the food was DELICIOUS. The service was amazing. The staff made us feel at home and the vibes were immaculate. We had such a great experience here. We will definitely be coming back. Please go here!!!! You will not regret it.

Drove up to Scarsdale for a friend's birthday - he is GF and was craving Mexican so we came across this restaurant! We walked in and were seated shortly after! The place is small itself but cozy. A few minutes after we sat, one of the waiters dropped a glass and it cracked all over the floor / table we were sitting at. It was quickly cleaned up, only to find more & more pieces under our feet. I sadly came straight from work & was in open toed heels which made me even more upset! My friend & I cleaned up some remainders and luckily the table next to us checked in & helped. The waiters didn't really seem to care much, the host made a joke about our appetizer coming soon to make up for it, I assumed it'd be on the house or something would be offered in order to accommodate the event that just occurred; however it was like nothing had happened. The nachos were okay - thought it was weird to be charged extra for guac that was initiated by the waiter. The main courses were ok... a bit flavorless .. my friend got the salmon and I ordered fajitas - it was bland to say the least but I was hangry from work & tried to pick the protein out. Prices are higher than your typical Mexican restaurant but the quality is very average. All in all, I probably would not come here again.

Not sure what to think of this place. I was expecting high prices because of its location, but the food misses the mark. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The indoor space is nice and looks like they have outdoor seating for warmer weather. We ordered yuca fries, mahi mahi tacos, quesadillas and a fajita (chicken and shrimp). The fajita was good, big portion and plenty of veggies. The tacos had no flavor, same for quesadilla. The yuca fries were ok, the sauce is what had the flavor. The place dubs itself as Mediterranean-Mexican. Didnt try any of the medi dishes, but i would say the Mexican dishes are more tex-mex. Their websites states that the food is locally source, wild caught fish, etc... thats a big plus. However, for $6 per taco I expect more from my food.

This Med-Mex (Mediterranean/Mexican) place misses the mark when it comes to Mediterranean. This place is 100% Mexican. The only Mediterranean items would be the octopus. I think this place would do much better as 100% Mexican. All the happy hours are Mexican (Margarita Monday, taco Tuesday, sangria Wednesdays). The tacos are good but could be better. The meat in the tacos could be cut in bigger pieces in order to hold more flavor. I thought the carne asada tacos were cut too small which let all the juices flow out of the meat. 3/5 The chimichurri skirt steak was a 3 but could have been a 4 if they let their meat rest and cut the steak much later. The steak was missing the juices which spilled out onto the plate because the meat didn't rest like it's supposed to. Our server was fabulous. Service 5/5 Atmosphere 3/5 Food 3/5

Loved it here! I was in the area and was looking for a new dinner spot. We wanted to try some different tacos. I was pleasantly surprised by PopoJito's. I had hot tea and the calamari and short rib tacos. We also ordered the guacamole. Everything we ordered was very fresh and flavorful. The restaurant was pretty quiet; we went on a holiday. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back to try more of their tacos!

Great spot for a weekend lunch. There are some spots outside on the sidewalk, and that was delightful for me and my family. The menu is surprisingly large! It was hard to choose. I ended up getting a salad, which was fresh but seemed a little heavy on the lettuce vs. mixings. I greatly appreciated the kid menu, which was reasonably priced and fulfilling. Next time, I'll definitely snag a drink. The drink menu was ample and appealing. Fast service and nice waiters!

I have gotten delivery before which was delicious but decided to go dine in this time around. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. It was so nice to have a full menu to pick from that is gluten free, even dessert options. The mozzarella sticks were some of the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had, super fresh & flavorful, also really large. 10/10 cheese pulls. The beef empanadas were also super yummy and had a nice aioli sauce to dip them in. I opted for a burrito for the main and got the cookie skillet for dessert, both were immaculate. I will be dreaming about this meal and cannot wait to return.

This is a me simple test. Whenever I go to a restaurant, I always ask myself, "Would I return to this establishment?" The answer to PopoJito is that I would definitely comeback. The flavors to all the entrees were awesome. The food was fresh. This is gluten free restaurant. And I have to say that any flour dishes were not missing. We came for my daughter's birthday and her diet must be gluten free. The plates were so tasty, that you wouldn't even notice that it was flour free. Kudos!!!

Sad to say, after being loyal customers, this place turned us off tonight permanently. I placed a large anniversary dinner order by phone, including tahdig ($12). During the call, I specifically asked if the rice came with tomato and onion and was told no it comes with the tahdig that I ordered. So yes it comes with the order. I was also asked whether I wanted the gheymeh on top or on the side of the tahdig. I chose on the side. When I got home, the order didn't match what was discussed: The tahdig wasn't traditional rice tahdig like me or my wife have had countless times. It was more like this brownish, sheet-like, crumble with a few flecks of rice on the crumble, but not crispy. Not Persian tahdig. The gheymeh was missing entirely, despite being discussed on the call. The tomato and onion that I was told were included were not there. The fesenjan had only a few pieces of chicken. The ghormeh sabzi was okay, but pretty underwhelming in flavor. I called politely to clarify about the missing tahdig (for next time) and was told someone would call me back. No one did. When I called again an hour later, the same person who took my original order responded in a dismissive and accusatory tone, unilaterally escalating her tone and voice immediately, almost angrily accusing me of daring to call, and told me that the tahdig does not come with gheymeh, and tomato and onion aren't included either. (This is the opposite of what I was told when ordering). She repeatedly interrupted me, talking over me, instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. We've been coming here since moving from Southern California a few years ago, whenever we felt homesick and wanted some Persian food. The food has always been....OK....nothing like Persian restaurants in Toronto or Southern California, but we continued ordering out of nostalgia and lack of other options. However, this experience today, incorrect information, missing items, no follow-up, and then, the way the situation was handled was our final turn off. Disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a special occasion. We won't be returning, nor will our visiting Persian family or friends.

I hadn't had mediterranean in a while and I'm not head over heels for the place near me so I wanted to try something new. This place seemed decent enough. The ingredients were fresh and that dressing was lovely. It was a salad I actually enjoyed instead of regretting the entire time I glared at my coworkers who ordered real shit with envy. The hummus was also very creamy, authentic hummus with a slightly different taste than I am used to but head and shoulders above any store bought bullshit. Everyone else said good shit about their food. I tried one of GF's falafel from her platter and it was really good. My only complaint is for $24 or whatever it is, i would expect more than a few falafel balls and one side. Kinda a rip off. But everything tasted really, really good.
