Bacon egg and cheese on a roll. Burnt, hard, salty bacon.

Ordered a simple bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The bacon was inedible. It was burnt and hard. It looked like it was made last week and reheated several times. The yellow American cheese was clearly processed cheese. How can they charge $10 for a sandwich with cheap, processed cheese? I paid 10 dollars and had reasonable expectations. It seems like because of the location in Rye, NY they overcharged for the sandwich without any quality standards. I took off the bacon and tried to eat the rest. So essentially I paid $10 for egg and cheese on a roll. Absolutely unacceptable. I would avoid this place at all costs. I would not have served that bacon to my dog.

Obviously, you can tell the difference between fresh broccoli and frozen, and you can see the excessive water on the bottom of my omelette.

I Ordered an omelette with broccoli, onions, mushrooms and cheese that cost me $22. It was HOrrible. Let me preface this by saying that we've ordered from them a ton of times and we've eaten there many times and though the service is OK , everybody is very nice. I would say out of everything that I've had there, the burger and chicken sandwich are very good, but the last couple of times I've picked up orders from them for breakfast or lunch They have been subpar and I haven't said anything, because I do not typically like to bash restaurants, because sometimes they have awful days, but the last three times we've ordered breakfast, it has been equally awful Coupled with the fact that they are way overpriced, but that's the area I live in, so it is what it is. I'm old school and believe you get what you pay for, but clearly not in this situation. Here is the moral of the story, if you're going to charge me $22 for an omelette, make sure that said omelette fan freaking tastic and not filled with frozen broccoli, which was cold and melted all of the cheese. MY entire tin was waterI gave the sausage patties to my dog and he appreciated it, because they didn't look appealing and the potatoes looked like boiled raw potatoes with no seasoning on it, and not even a tinge of crisp. In conclusion, being busy is a blessing not an excuse, so count your blessings that you have people coming to your restaurant and ordering from you and do better with providing good service and quality food.

I've eaten here several times. The service is never great but the food is usually good. Today, though, was unacceptable. They were very busy, which is good to see after what restaurants have been though in the past 2 years. I certainly understand that staffing is difficult since the pandemic so slow service is expected. Nasty, rude service is not! The food was horrific- they should have been embarrassed to serve it. Eggs over hard was served like poached eggs. Silver dollar pancakes were served in a child's plate- 5 DRY silver dollar pancakes for an adult in a plastic dish shaped like a monkey. Crisp bacon was so grossly undercooked it was raw in parts. Most disappointing was how rude the waitress was throughout and especially when we brought this to her attention. I will not return. Things could go wrong, people can be overwhelmed, food can be cooked incorrectly but for the waitress to treat us like we are at fault is disgraceful!

Delicious breakfast. Amazing staff. And outdoor seating on a nice sunny day was absolutely perfect

Good eggs. Good home fries. Good service. They didn't have almond milk. Simple breakfast, good choices. Prices are a little high.

We went heavy on appetizers; shishito peppers (not for the faint of heart), Pastrami egg rolls (everyone's fave), Crispy artichokes and Hummus (awesome pita! Mom's favorite). The Shrimp & Lobster Mac and cheese was a standout. Loved by all. Chicken Shawarma was fine. Pot of Mussels was very good (not the "moules" you'd find in Brussels, but they stand on their own merits.) Lovely evening.

Ordered: Crispy artichokes ($15)- these were fried and tasty with a creamy yogurt sauce. Nothing crazy or exotic flavor wise, but enjoyable. Polenta bites ($12)- I really enjoyed these! They were a little salty, a little smoky (bacon) and a little sweet (honey). I will say that I strongly recommend Village Social either update their menu or change the toppings, as these polenta bites were topped with crispy bacon but the menu did not indicate this. Vegetarians in our group didn't realize this dish wasn't vegetarian. Chicken Milanese ($28)- the portion was very generous! It came with a large chicken breast and I requested to change the salad on top to Caesar. I appreciated their willingness to modify the order. All in all, I'd recommend checking out Village Social the next time you're looking for a dinner spot in the area.

We had unsweetened iced teas, and the kids' seltzer came in a kid-sized cup. After ordering, we were served cornbread sticks, which were really good and a hit with my son. Elwood also brought crayons and paper for him, which was a thoughtful touch. We started with the gator nuggets and frickles. The gator nuggets were our favorite appetizer. The frickles were good, but the batter was fairly thick, which made the pickle flavor a little subtle. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely crispy and came with four pieces, though it was a little overcooked for my taste. The collard greens were on the sweet side, and the mac and cheese could have used a bit more flavor. The highlight of our visit was the service. Elwood was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. Overall, the food was a bit mixed for us, but the excellent service, family-friendly touches, and pleasant outdoor seating made for an enjoyable experience. We'll be back to try some of the other menu items.

Love the food! Love the service!…read more Ron our waiter was so friendly and accommodating!! The restaurant looks like a beautiful house with an outdoor porch where you have the option to dine on if you'd like. The inside you have a beautiful bar area to the left and a dining area to the right with a fire place giving a comfy upscale feel. The prices are a little on the pricier side so something to note. I recommend the shrimp tacos and Parmesan fries! You have the option to host events there too as I was witness to a couple during my time there. The only con is the parking situation. I've only ever been during the day for lunch and there are never any parking spots. I always spend a good 10-15 minutes circling around for one to open up. They do have a small dedicated lot nearby, but very limited spots and tight area. Plan accordingly.

Seats were hard as heck wood and mighty uncomfortable The food was--overall, mehhh First the potato skins were minuscule, Lilliputian and almost not even big enough to be considered bite sized The Caesar salad was...hmmmm, Ho-hum with fresh and crisp greens, ample if not generous Parmesan and tasty albeit stingy portion chicken. I tried the steak tacos and this was a fumble. Bland steak, miserly portions and soggy soft shell. The raviolis were a tad undercooked but really tasty. The sauce had a hair too much red wine but the taste as still very good and the portion rather admirable. I'd order it again. The Apple blossom desert was amazing. Dough was slightly and pleasantly sweet and the apple was caramelized and tender. So.... Food was a solid 3-4 The service a gentleman's C in or 3 The comfort and ambiance a 2
