I went to porchlight for dinner and decided to make my own pizza. They had numerous options for sauce, cheeses, proteins, and toppings. I chose chicken as my protein and was unimpressed with it given. Besides not being a huge fan of the chicken protein, the rest of my pizza was made perfectly, but $12 for the pizza was a bit more expensive than I would have liked. The restaurant was spacious and not too loud. They even had outdoor seating available. The service was good, you walk up to the counter to place your order. Once you order, the staff tells you to take a seat, and they deliver the pizza to your table, which I appreciate. Overall, it was a great experience. I was just bummed out with my protein selection. Next time I go I will choose something different and I'm sure it will be perfect. read more

Porch Light Pizza is a pretty good place to grab a quick bite since their service is fast, the food is good, and the portions are decent. I love Porch Light's "Silk" pre-made pizza so much. It is so delicious and yummy!!! all the flavors together just melt in your mouth and I think that it is my all time favorite from Porch Light. I do think that their pre-made pizzas are much better. I went to Porch Light Pizza for lunch the other day. Service was friendly and nice, greeting me with a smile. I really like the look of Porch Light on the inside. It has nice hardwood floors and simple metal chairs/barstools. They have certain pizzas you can order or you can do a customized one. I did a customized pizza with arugula, prosciutto and goat cheese. I wasn't crazy about the sauce on the pizza, it was a little too tangy for me. Overall though I liked the pizza. I think I might try another sauce the next time I go though. Overall a solid place to get lunch or dinner for a good price. I'll be back! read more

Arrived around 5 PM on a Thursday. Crickets. Ordered the silk road pizza (inexpensive!) ...this pizza is so different and sooo good! Had a Ceasar salad HUGE (next time will get a 'regular' size'), and had a Caprese salad HUGE ( again, get the regular size) - this salad would have been wonderful if not swimming in dressing. Absolutely drowning in dressing. Uncomfortably unappealing. Took the extra Ceasar salad home...did not do the same for the Caprese. Beer, pizza, salads...dinner on the cheap for sure! Perhaps someone can talk to management about the barren walls...needs some color, some art, SOMETHING. Parking must be a nightmare on a busy Friday/Saturday evening. After getting in town late we were really hungry and ran across this pizza place in an old part of downtown. Great ambience and a rustic old building, one of the only places actually open as this is a college town and you never know what is open past eight. If I had gone to college here this would have been my jam! Such a good value for bomb food. I love how everyone gets their own pizza with their favorite toppings. Being able to choose 4 toppings for no extra charge is unheard of! I would anticipate to pay $15 for an artisan pizza like this in the Tri Cities so to only pay $8.95 was a pleasent surprise. Downsides: - The cobwebs all over the lights and a crazy amount of dust on the ceiling fan (pictured). - Might not be enough food for a man with a big appetite. I was in town for a business meeting and we looked up Yelp for help with a quick bite. The menu allows for customization of your pizza as others have noted. Service was great and the best part of our experience, however, the pizza was disappointing as it was bland and lacked flavor. Crust had a decent crunch though. Caesar salad was a simple vinaigrette dressing on top of mixed greens and box style croutons. Not quite what I was expecting when I order a Caesar salad. Great spot for a quick and light lunch!! My coworker and I wanted to grab a quick lunch before our meeting and this place was close by. We each ordered the lunch special which is a small pizza with small garden salad and a drink. A really good deal if you ask me. The pizza was about 6", with a very thin and crispy crust. I ordered the Bell-Mo pizza with buffalo sauce, chicken, blue cheese, to and green onions. It was delicious! The right amount of buffalo sauce was on the pizza and the blue cheese was not overwhelming. I was also eyeing other people's food and the entree salads looked amazing!! I'll have to try that next time I'm in town. They also had great customer service and a very quick service. We were in and out in about 40 minutes! read more

There isn't a lot wrong with Porch Light Pizza. It's not a bad place for a Brick Oven/ MoD / Subway-of-Pizza style pizza place. It has a selection of beer on tap, a few that are actually outside the mass-produced norm. It has a reasonable selection of toppings, though few you can see as the pizza is made. The service is fine, even if its a bit rushed, if you don't come right away they'll try to expedite your food. The three stars, however, comes form my personal taste; a taste I feel others are likely to share: First, they use a highly cornmeal dough. The cornmeal dough tastes more like you are eating the top layer of corn bread than you are a pizza slice. The toppings used to make the pizza were sparse. One thinks of a slice of pizza and imagines what you get at most other restaurants; here, however, the toppings are as thin as the cornmeal dough. Speaking of which: Finally, the pizza is over-charred because its messy. This isn't a bad thing as you eat it; but its a horrible thing if the cook doesn't clean the pizza stone. And the cook doesn't clean the pizza stone. Its perfectly natural to have a pizza come out charred when it's a fire oven on a pizza stone - what isn't natural is to have gobs of char from other pizzas piled up on one side of your pizza. There's the natural char of cooking, which bubbles up randomly throughout the pizza, and there's the char of prior cornmeal turned to ash - which is what we got. In sum: it's fine. The flavors are good, the section is good, the dough is corn meal, the toppings are sparse, and the pizza has too much char. read more

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. As far as a brick oven pizza place, it's passable for taste, texture, and quality. It's not a typical experience for brick oven pizza to come out with the texture of a saltine cracker and the taste of a charred marshmallow. The majority of the taste on mine came from the generous helping of red pepper I added after a few bites, which seemed to help significantly. Prices are reasonable for what you're getting and service time is pretty quick as well (5-7 minutes after paying from the couple of times we've been). Overall atmosphere is perfect for a college town, setting a casual tone. Staff are made of up of your typical college hires that carry the general demeanor of just earning a paycheck. Again, not a bad place, just not someone that gets me excited when other options are available. read more

First off, great pizza. The Popeye is great. The photos on the menu make the pizzas look like a personal 6" pizza. They are closer to a medium (12-14 inches). The "side" salad was in a 9 inch deep dish pie pan. I ordered the side salad for myself and ended up giving half to my wife. We each ordered a Popeye and ended up splitting one pizza. After passing by this place several times (it's right next to the public library), my wife and I decided to give it a try. I called for carryout, but they said it was best to come in because the pizzas take only a few minutes to bake due to the thin crust. My wife got the Popeye pizza and didn't enjoy it. She said there was too much spinach, very few pepperoni... along with a sauce that was kind of "off." I tasted it and I didn't really like it either. The sauce was bland and the overall flavor was light. Since I prefer a more robust pizza, I ordered a custom pizza. Porch Light lets you choose one sauce and four toppings for each pizza (they only offer two sizes... regular and kids). I ordered the buffalo sauce, pulled pork, grilled chicken, green peppers and jalapeños. It was pretty tasty and I enjoyed it. I'm not the biggest fan of wood-fired pizza (my favorite is deep-dish pizza), but this was as good as most. I probably won't return since my wife didn't enjoy it, but if you live in Pullman, it's worth a try out of curiosity and/or boredom since this town has limited restaurant options. read more

Friendly service! The pizzas come out quickly and ingredients always taste fresh. They are thin crust pizzas baked in an actual brick oven. There are unique pizzas (my favorites are the Popeye and the one with the BBQ pork) but you can also customize your own pizza too. They have salads but I've heard that they're nothing special and not worth the cost. They have an outdoor seating area, which is dog-friendly and nice during the summer months. It's a small space but it can seat a surprising amount of people. They used to project old cartoons on one of the walls but haven't had it the last few times I went. The only downsides are that it can get crowded during peak hours and parking can be difficult to find. There is a parking lot right next to it but people often park there to go to other downtown restaurants/businesses too so it can fill up quickly. There is also some street parking but it's the same case as the lot. Contrary to their Yelp profile, they don't offer delivery. Sad, since I would definitely order deliver from them...their flavors are so yummy and at a decent price too! read more

I love the pizza at porch light. It has been one of our favorite places in Pullman since it opened. I always order the Popeye with no garlic, and it never disappoints. If I was rating only on pizza, this is a 5 star establishment. I have typically been ordering a side salad to accompany my pie, their creamy balsamic dressing is really good. The last time I ordered the salad, I was shocked by how small the side salad was, so I asked. The staff member said "oh we got new bowls". Don't play this game with me... the older bowls were bigger and the side salad was a great deal at $3.00. The side salad now was puny and not worth the time. I would rather pay $0.50 more and get the old salad as opposed to paying the same price and now getting nothing. Don't blame the bowls! This isn't my first visit. This won't deter me from coming in for a Popeye pizza, but I won't be ordering any more salads. read more
