Food was good and the service was ok at best. Place was dirty, must be why they call it Trof.

This place has been very hit and miss with the food lately. I like the chicken wings, but lately, it's as if they are not cooked thoroughly. They're tough and very difficult to gnaw the meat from the bones. I often get the nachos supreme as an entrée, but the last time they put no cheese on the nachos. Zero. I was offered a small plastic cup of cheese. Then, last night, we ordered a pizza for delivery. Were told they had no delivery, so went in to pick it up. When I got it home, it appeared that it hadn't been cooked thoroughly, the crust was thin and slimy in the center, that everything fell off as the crust was picked up. I will be making the extra ten mile trip to pizza hut until I see better reviews posted here. read more

Really good pizza. I forgot to take pic of establishment or pizza and fried pickles because we were HUNGRYAnyway, I called order in and went to pick it up. People were nice on phone and in person. Place was getting busy which tells me food must be pretty good. We ordered a 14 inch All Meat Pizza and fried pickles. I didn't know if it would fill myself, my husband and son or not but it did. Pizza dough thickness was perfect and fried pickles were good if that's your thing. We were all full and we all thought it was very good. read more

Service was horrible, pig knuckles were raw, bacon on my sub was rubbery and had an off taste. Don't even try to get a review because every time I tried the servers disappeared. We got the Porky's Pride 18" pizza. It was very very good. As their menu says the crust is homemade. They make their own sauce. It is not a sweet sauce for those that may like a sweeter sauce (which I do, but really liked the flavor). Lots of cheese on top with lots of toppings under the cheese which is the way I like it! YUM! The only downside... I tried to call on a Thursday night around 6pm. For 35 mins. all I got was a busy signal. Luckily I was only a few mins. From them, so I drove down and ordered. They were busy, but still could have taken calls. The whole time I was there I did not see anyone on the phone and it did not ring. The plus side when I ordered the young lady said it would be a half hour. But the pizza came out in about 15 mins. So I was happy about that! If in this area again I will be ordering from them again! Make sure you do as well! One thing I was going to mention as well that I did not see posted but might have missed. No delivery service. read more

The pizza is fantastic, and when you get a seasoned waitress, the service is good too. Always clean, if a tad Spartan. Good ball games on big TVs and friendly guests and staff. Beer is downright cheap. B U T . . . Let there be one wrinkle in the operation, one waitress calls off, the "computers are down," as was our unfortunate experience, and your wait time will double with no apologies. If dining in, bring your smallest vehicle, as the parking lot is tiny and unpainted. You may end up in a corner, just sayin. Good luck and give it at least one try before passing judgement. Best spicy garlic parm chicken chunks, way better than BW3 or Frickers. The hot cheese balls are great as well. Not a huge selection of beer on tap but have local favorites and the usuals. My brother got the burrito bites and they weren't so great though. Great prices and great food, would recommend when in the area or heading home from Cedar Point. read more

Porky's wins again!! Ordered a pizza, BBC sub, chicken ranch sub, and these amazing things call Piggy Knuckles. Was ready in about 20 minutes and cost a very reasonable $35. Fed my family of 4, with leftovers to spare. I have to say this is one of my top 10 northwest Ohio food joints. Give it a try!! read more

As the only restaurant within a 20 mile radius of my house, I would say it's pretty darn good. Friends are fans of the pizza and subs, but I always stick with the chicken chunks and their delicious blue cheese. Porky's offers a small selection of draft beers and $1 cans of the cheap stuff (LaBatt Blue and Budweiser, I think). You must try the piggy knuckles as they have been described by people more eloquent than me as garlic bread sprinkled with crack. Service is usually slow but friendly. read more

The bread was quite delicious, the menu was interesting. Decided on a chicken parmigiana and a Ranger Dog. The seating was great for parties over 6 people. The staff were very nice but the food took forever. Worst part though was the nauseating music. Way too loud and just trash. Oh well, alright for a one time visit. read more

Had the 10" Hawaiian and garlic knots. A bit greasy, but it's really good hearty food. Garlic knots heavy on the garlic and butter, pizza was heavy on the cheese, but it was all very good. Just be ready for a good, heavy nap afterwards. read more

For the good stuff: As for the food.... has some of the best subs and pizza...try the knuckles (they are to die for... If the don't kill you first). I wouldn't stray from the pizza,subs, and knuckle. Person was extremely rude on the phone and could have cared less if I ordered or not. I ordered two personal pizzas and bread sticks and was told 1hr and 20min. I have never waited that long for a pizza in my life and wasn't about to. I canceled the order to which the person got even more rude upon hearing. For someone out of state and driving through its not worth the people. Update: received a call from an employee yelling at me for not picking up my food. I explained I canceled my order to which I was told they didn't get the memo, and asked when I would be there to pay for my food. I laughed at her and hung up the phone. read more

This is probably one of the worst places I've ever eaten. My husband and I visited and they weren't particularly busy. Ww stood at the door for several minutes because we didn't know if we should just sit, or if we should wait to be seated. Finally, we just sat and eventually (almost ten minutes later) someone came to help us. We ordered a pizza and they weren't particularly busy. It took an hour to receive food. The wait staff never brought refills, plates, silverware or napkins. I can usually tolerate bad service for good food but the pizza was almost raw, the sauce tasted like canned sauce dumped onto a crust, and the toppings were slimy. There was an extremely loud group of bikers next to us that got fantastic service and food. People walked in after us got fed before we did. We must not have been the type to get served at this establishment. Do yourself, and those with you a favor and go somewhere else. read more

While the location is a little out of the way this pizza place is worth the drive. The pig knuckles (bite size garlic butter bread sticks) are fabulous. Soft and yeasty, covered with garlic butter and served with dipping sauce. The pizza crust is also excellent and the range of topics should satisfy most. I've particularly enjoyed Chicken on vacation (chicken with bbq sauce, pineapple and banana peppers) and the Trof (The house specialty). The menu also offers subs, salads and appetizers such as fries and rings. There is a full service bar as well but I'll make the drive just for the pig knuckles! read more

Porky's is a great spot on a Friday or Saturday evening for pizza, burgers and a beer. Food generally comes out slow, but they have Keno, billiards, video games and TV's to keep you entertained while you wait. This review is for carry-out only. I have noticed in other reviews the main problem was with their dine-in experience. I have been there several times and only gotten carry-out. I have tried their pizzas, wings and subs. All three of which have been filling and very tasty. Both the Spicy Pepperoni, and the I Dream of Cheese pizzas where, flavorful with a good ratio of sauce, to cheese to toppings. The Overload sub is a toasted sub, making the bread crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with plenty of toppings and not too mush mayo and dressing. Really enjoy the Garlic Parmesan wings. An order of 10 is filling, as the wings are very meaty. The sauce is flavorful without over doing it with garlic. They are well cooked and tender. When I have ordered the people have been friendly on the phone. Even if they are busy they ask if I can hold and have waited for me to answer before they took care of someone else, and got back to me in a timely fashion. They are accurate in the time quoted for carry-out. And the people at the bar when I have gone in are friendly and courteous. Will definitely go back, looking forward to trying their garlic knots and pastas. read more

Great pizza. Actually my third favorite place of all time for pizza. That is a strong statement... I eat a lot of pizza. The staff is hit or miss, but they put up with a lot of bs from the local dudes. Get the Piggie Knuckles- bread soaked in garlic and butter. Sinfully good. Decent arcade games. From time to time, service can be slow, especially when they get slammed. If you want fast, cardboard pizza, go elsewhere. The place is great. read more

The piggy bones is worth the trip. Also had the best burger I've had in a long time. The wait for our food sucked although this is the first time we've been there that we had to wait over an hour for food. First I must say we absolutely love this place to eat the food is amazing but the service could do a lot better. We drive 30 mins just to come there and it is my favorite Pizza place in Ohio. Now we went there today at around 2pm when we got there only one other table was seated and there were 3 men at the bar. Our waiter who I have seen in there mulitlple times got our drinks and we ordered our Bones. He came back and took our order, 2 personal pizzas and our son had a Mushroom/Swiss burger with regular fries. When the food was up the bus girl brought us our pizzas. She said do you need anything else, I replied yes my sons burger. She looked at me like i was crazy. I said he had a Mush/Swiss burger. She went over and said something to an older lady. That lady went straight back to the kitchen. 10 mins later after my husband and I were almost done eating out came my sons food. This is after the bus girl had to come back to see if it was reg or season fries. Our waiter DID NOT bring out his food and we were informed by the cook who did bring the food out that it was never sent back to the kitchen to begin with. Yes he did end up with his food but had to take it mostly to go because we had to be home. Maybe if the waiter would have spent more time taking care of his customers and not eating behind the bar this wouldn't have happened. Also there was no apology from the waiter, no attempt to make his mistake better. We love the food and understand that mistakes happen but when they do an apology is the least you can do . read more

We visit the Oak Harbor area about every other week and usually Porky's is one of our stops. Cold Beer and great food. Have to stay away from the Piggy Knuckles though, because they are way to addicting! Quite often service can be slow so don't be in a hurry. read more

The food was good and the prices were reasonable, but the service was horrible. We waited over 50 minutes for 2 subs and a grilled cheese. There were two servers and one doubled as the bartender. They were all over the place and extremely unorganized. The bartender came to the table to take the order and we never saw her again until she delivered the check. This place was great. We drove from Toledo to go here. When we got there, there was alot of people in the restaurant. There was one waitress working the bar and the floor. She was awesome. The meal deal for the day was 10 chicken wings, 1 topping 12 inch pizza and an order of pig knuckles for $20.00. Plus we had 2 giant draft beers.
