Paid $200 for a 4 wheel alignment but machanic tech #1005 at the Tyson's Corner location only did half the job. He wrote in the comments that he was unable to adjust the rear suspension because I had H&R springs (made in Germany)installed. Therefore, the rear suspension was untouched (See alignment sheet #1 done by Porsche of Tyson's) I later took it to Just Tires store in which alignment tech there was able to adjust the rear suspension just fine. No bs regarding the H&R springs that were there. (see alignment sheet #2 done by Just Tires) I later visited the Porsche dealership in Tyson's and met up with the service shop manager to address the problem and not asking for a refund or anything. But the young man in his 30s didn't even bother asking me for my paperwork or any other information, but said he will take care of it for me. Porsche Tyson's has serious service issues. After getting my cayenne back I went on a 1,000 mile road trip for the month. Check engine light comes on and it's my fuel injector cylinder 3. Come to find out the cayenne that I drove for the past 100,000 miles was missing a copper washer in cylinder 3. Someone clearly took that copper washer out of the injector. The cayenne had only been serviced at Tyson as they tried to fix the oil leak but never could figure it out. Only to give me a 17k estimate after the warranty ran out. Well it wasn't the rear main seal after all. I took it too a reliable trustworthy vw specialist shop and they found the copper washer was missing. I have the report. There was never a reason for the injectors to be taken out of the cayenne so it looks like someone in that shop did it on purpose. Yes, Daniel you'll be getting a phone call but Penske automotive headquarters will be hearing about this as well!! I have a 13 hour drive coming up so I'll have nothing but time while I'm driving to make phone calls. I'll also include a photo of where they can't even tight screws. read more

Walked in to store to inquire about purchasing a new Porsche and potential wait time for build. After being ignored by most everyone in the store a young lady asked if I needed help. She went to speak with a "salesman" who was sitting behind his desk doing nothing. She told me he would be with me in a moment. He got up and walked inside a door in the back. I waited close to 10 minutes and he never came back out. I left the store without speaking to anyone. Basically the same scenario occurred at the same store 18 years ago. I ended up purchasing a BMW then. I'll try an out of state Porsche dealership but may abandon dealing with the brand altogether. Recently I purchased a new car from the salesman, AJ. Terrific experience! AJ is very professional and seems like a genuine person that made me feel great about my purchase. Once I got home, I noticed a scratch on the passenger window of my brand new car. I called AJ the next morning and he told me to bring the car in to be looked at by the service manager. AJ being a nice guy waited around for me for over an hour after I had already made the purchase and he was suppose to be off work, just to help me out. Because it was a new car, the service manager determined that this was a manufacturer issue and immediately ordered a replacement window free of charge. Laurie, the service rep, was also a very cool and knowledgeable person. She made the service experience so easy. The window was replaced the same day that I brought the car in for service (window shipped from Germany). As long as they employ people like AJ and Laurie, I will be a customer of their's for life. My Porsche had a suspension issue and I took it to them at the end of the June. I was put on rental car but I was not told that Porsche only covers for 4 day rental car and I was charged $474 byb rental car company. Although they knew that they are not covering after 4 day they didn't put me on a loaner. After 5 weeks they said my car is fixed. When I went to pick up my car I realized the head liner is hanging while the car was in the shop for 5 weeks but they denied it and that basically means they called me liar. Few days later I noticed that one side of my car is lower than the other side and I had to take it back. They blamed on a sensor and was charged over $900 and they did not fix the liner as they blamed it on me. They kept telling me the car is gonna be ready within the few days but never was. Not satisfied with the service and the communication. read more

Rock on highway flew up and cracked my windshield. Contacted Porsche of Tyson's Corner to replace it as I wanted OEM glass and Porsche trained installation but Porsche of TC contracts that work out to Windshield City. Okay Fine. Make appointment to meet Windshield City at the dealer. Windshield folks were late and Porsche of TC had no idea I was coming. Finally got it straightened out and Porsche rep followed up with me to say the installer was on the way. Two plus hours later I get a call... Windshield City removed your windshield, but the replacement windshield is damaged and can't be installed. Going to keep your car for two days until second replacement comes in. Less fine. Call Porsche of TC the next business day and say, "since you have to keep my car for an extra day for the windshield kerfuffle, how about you go ahead and do an oil change since the car is there?" Was told, we don't have a ticket for your car... gonna have to call you back. Finally called back to say oil change quote was $525. Way less fine. So, I realize an oil change on my car is expensive, but that's exorbitant in my experience - plus, your contractor screwed up my car which now inconveniences me and my wife's time and money. I'll provide a follow up comment on my review once I am able to take delivery - maybe they'll have done a perfect install and I can bump this review up. read more

Avoid the Service Department. It is the worst customer experience I've ever had. I love my Macan. I really dislike Porsche of Tysons Corner. Too bad the service department here is so bad, making the Porsche experience unacceptable. I had to wait 3 hours to get my tire change. Even worse, the entire service department left at the end of the day, leaving me in the waiting room, alone, not knowing the status or whereabout of my car, and not telling me that they were leaving. STAY AWAY FROM PORSCHE TYSONS SERVICE. Took my car in for routine yearly maintenance and a state inspection. Was told it would likely be done in a few hours and they would keep me updated. Instead, it took 5 days, nobody every called to update me, and nobody returned a single call despite daily attempts to get a status update and even a request to speak to the manager. Then, when I finally did get the car back, it had two big scratches that had not been there before. And when I called, emailed and used their online chat to raise the issue, I still received no call back about the damage. When I filled out a negative review survey sent from Porsche, Tysons told Porsche it was all taken care of. Which is not at all true. Almost comically horrible service. I've been there many times before, but something has changed. Stay away. read more

Short story: Mr. AJ Payne is absolutely fantastic in helping me getting my ideal car. Communication with him was very smooth and pleasant. He was very candid in my whole shopping process. If you are shopping for a new Porsche, I highly recommend him. Long story: My old car was declared unable to operate two weeks ago, and I suddenly needed to buy another car, as soon as possible. I always had Porsche Cayenne in mind, and started to search for a car within my proximity. In fact, I live 6 hours from DC, and there are several local Porsche dealerships around me. Naturally, I would prefer to buy a car somewhere local. But still, I emailed several remote dealerships (including this Tyson Corner dealership) for information. I happened to be put in touch with Mr. AJ Payne, who responded my email very quickly and provided an offer. With this offer in hand, I started visiting local dealerships. After going to 3 local dealerships, it surprised me that AJ's deal is actually the best. In fact, it was so good that I decided, in the context of the Coronavirus fear, to get on a plane and fly to DC, buy the car there, and take 6 hours to drive back home, or get on another plane and fly home if no deal is made. Fortunately, the trip did not disappoint. When I got to the dealership, AJ show me the car, and the car was exactly the same as how AJ described in the email. So I got the car from there and drove home. I am glad to have run into AJ in my email communication. Not only did he respond my email quickly with a very, very favorable offer, he also made it easy for me to learn about the new car. After a long day in the dealership signing all documents, when I got the key, I only wanted to get out of there. It took AJ less than 10 minutes to explain to me key features of the car. When I arrived the day after Christmas, however, I was told that I would have to pay nearly $1000 more for the standard 4 year service. That is, one day after the celebration of the birth of Our Savior, the people at Tysons Porsche broke two of God's Commandments by lying and attempting to steal. Five stars for the people we worked with and for fair pricing; two stars for the company's unwillingness to provide bank routing info for a cash wire for the purchase. Hello...Penske's account info was on our copy of the wire anyway... withholding it initially made the process WAY more tedious than necessary. When transferring the Panamera to us, Jay took time to make certain we knew everything we needed to about the car. Much more customer service than we received from their Chantilly Mercedes location five years earlier. ***Editing my review about a month later and I'm downgrading by three stars. No "how's the new car?" follow up from Jay. Unanswered email, two calls (almost a week ago related to THEIR errors in registration and plates) not returned, with a temporary plate expiring! I'm extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with the level of customer service I have received from Porsche of Tysons! I purchased a used Jaguar XJL Supercharged back on June 17, 2021 which my husband and I were very excited about because we had been looking for a Jag in good condition inside and out for a couple of weeks! Finally we went to Porsche of Tysons and was very pleased with the Jag we found and the customer service Matt had provided us with! Since we are from Maryland we had to take the car to get inspected with the state so we could receive our hard tags. All of this sounds like an easy process right!? Guess what it is an easy process because this isn't my first time purchasing a vehicle from Virginia! Well the very next day I took the Jag to be inspected and to my surprise it FAILED! So I called Matt and sent him a copy of the failed inspection. Matt told to me to take the Jag another place he knows to be inspected and pay another $125 because he knows it will pass! Well I wasn't going to travel another 45 minutes outside of where I lived to get another inspection so (silly me )I took it to a well known place instead of a gas station inspection place to get another state inspection and it still failed! So I took the Jag back to Porsche to get the headlight repaired (thats why it failed) so I paid for Porsche to fix the headlight I'm not sure why but I paid for them to fix the light that shouldn't have passed the state inspection in Virginia in order to be sold! That took 2 weeks to fix after being ignored about the status of the vehicle, which I think is very poor customer service when all you have to do is communicate whats going on! Then finally we go and pick the car up only to discover that it had been hit and of course everyone was surprised to see this big dent on the side of a silver car that was very noticeable! So they promised to fix the dent once I pointed it out I asked for it in writing because at this point I'm starting to question their ethics and integrity! Mr. Tran gave me a promise to repair in writing and told us to take the care to be inspected and bring it back to be repaired and they could order the tags all at the same time! Well, it still didn't pass inspection for the same light that Porsche emphasized how they spent thousands to repair and give me a whole new headlight and how they cut me deal to fix it! So I took the Jag back to Porsche to be "fixed" again, this time it took 3 weeks!! Now we get the car back last week after they fixed the dent and the light except when we started the car up at Porsche the headlight service light was on but we were told by Matt that it just needed to reset itself after we drive it but instead of resetting itself the engine light comes on while I'm driving the car home! So now we have two service lights on! We have called and sent several messages for Tran and Joe to make this right but I guess since they have our money we are no longer a priority! I will write again with what happens next! But it is now September and I haven't been able to enjoy the car I purchased in June! All I can say is buyer beware this has been the worse car experience of my life!! read more

How can I offer -5 stars? I am the proud owner of a 2018 Porshe Macan S. After I was in contact them including the GM Shahid, the service level with Brad and with Porsche Tysons overall did not improve - not even a little. This has been a thoroughly, thoroughly disappointing experience and I am going to seek another Porsche dealer even though they are much closer to me than any other location. Every single time I call no matter the time of day, I get voice mail (Brad, Tracy, Shahid) and I never ever got prompt return calls. They had my car for 10 (TEN) days and I had to keep on calling in just to try and push it along. In the end, all that was done was resetting the back hatch and fixing the gas door locking function. 10 days just for that. The service manager (Scott?) never even called me back ever after several voicemails. I forgot his name now since he never returned my calls - not even once. All in all, ten days of frustration for some very basic repairs. Nobody answers their phones, calls get returned slowly if at all, and I don't have any confidence in the competence of their operation. I recommend any other Porsche repair facility in the area. It has to be better than this. read more

I purchased my vehicle on-line and was told the delivery people would call and arrange a delivery time. After I took the day off from work, they did not come on the day they were scheduled, and when they did come, they arrived with twenty minutes notice. They told me they couldn't wait for me to drive from my office to my home. I realize the delivery people are from an outside company, but the dealership arranged the service. I explained that I had work, and they assured me multiple times that the delivery company would contact me so I could make arrangements. That didn't happen. They basically dropped the car in my driveway and left the key inside. That's right. The key. One key. The second has been on its way for two months but still hasn't found its way to my hands. At least the title came, though. That only took six weeks. People must be desperate for Porsches if they're going to Porsche of Tyson's Corner. I would not recommend them. read more

I would not take my car here even if I had to pay hundreds to tow it somewhere else. They worked on my car and few days after I got my car back, the drive shaft fell off. When the car was towed there, mind you Friday night when it was 20 degree temp, I called repeatedly next day and no one got back to me. Finally drove there, and they told me the car is ready. I asked what happened, service manager said our mechanic didn't install the drive shaft correctly. I asked how can this happen. The response "I guess our mechanic had a bad day." I asked if there is damage to other parts of the car, and the general manager went out of her way to say I checked the car myself and no other damage. Long story short, took the car to another dealership and $8k later, all of Porsche tysons screw ups are fixed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. read more

I committed an Car Owner 101 mistake; NEVER buy a service package based on time (12 mos, 24 mos, etc) or mileage (12,000, 24K,etc.). My wife's 2016 model's computer said time for an oil change; it's was 6,500 miles but 14 months. OK, I go in asking for an oil change (expecting $300) but the "adviser" asked "You want the 1-year service ?" LIKE A FOOL, I said OK. Well, waited for 4 hours later (I had an appointment for 9am on a holiday), and the bill was $660: What's the difference between a $300 oil change and a $660 1- year service ?? A piece of paper saying my 14-month old 6,500 mile, car had no issues. Rookie mistake, at my late stage of life. OK, that's why independent garages exist. On buying the car, I bought from a Maryland dealer near Baltimore/Annapolis. My wife called around NoVa and dealers had only loaded models. We used Costco, and the designated area dealer is Silver Spring Porsche which would only honor Costco pricing on dealer inventory (loaded cars). My wife called Annapolis Porsche said they would "not make price a problem." We ordered a model from Annapolis (which took 3 months to build because it was late July 2015, and Europe shuts down in August, and 2016 models are built after summer); the dealer ordered the next model year to our custom spec, including taking off the model label from the rear. read more

This one's pretty simple since we ended up changing our minds in the dealership. I brought a family friend during his day trip from Los Angeles by the dealership to see if they'd happen to have any 911 GT3-RSes within reach. Keeping in mind that this car typically sells for at least 25,000 over MSRP, you'd figure they would accommodate the possibility of a sale. No salespeople approached us. We had to ask for a salesperson at the sales desk, and the man who first answered did so by accosting me, saying "sir, you don't need to raise your voice." Sir, I'm well aware that I didn't need to raise my voice, which is why I spoke with my indoor voice. The dealership was dead. No one was doing any business. The fact that you thought I raised my voice means you've never heard your dealership any louder than a library. Well hey, that's your loss. I brought in a guaranteed lead who was looking to ship the car back to LA, and you squandered it. One (1) star for service. N/A for product because... yeah, we decided against buying anything. read more

Both times, I came in without an appointment or notice beforehand, and each time they were able to quickly set me up with a loaner car that got me back to the office.
