Pretty good empañadas, only complaint is they are a little pricy at around $6-7 per, but at least you get a sauce with each empanada and a side of potato salad (which is good but odd). I personally think I would go to Arempa's for bigger and cheaper empanadas that are just as tasty, but if I'm out and about and happen to see em I'd still probly snag a few.

    Don't forget the chimchurri sauce!

Let's put it this way--if you have an option to eat empanadas, why wouldn't you? Mama-Lau was the food truck of the day at our office, and it was a very welcome sight. The beef and pulled pork empanadas were excellent, but my banana and Nutella dessert stole the show. I'd absolutely recommend the chimchurri sauce for your meat filled empys. As for the dessert empanadas, I would suggest asking them to hold the whipped cream--that way, you can pick it up to eat it and not lose precious Nutella by cutting it with fork and knife. But, regardless of how you decide to down your empanadas, Mama-Lau is a tremendous lunch time choice!

Always looking for places that serve empanadas! So delish! Had the Pulled Pork and Spinach and there was so much flavor! And the Banana Nutella was a perfect sweet dessert! My only critique is that they could have been served hotter. Definitely going here a lot this summer at food truck rallies!

POSITIVES: Great local company, legit argentine empanadas. The sauces were awesome! (Golf sauce, chimichurri, and criolla). NEGATIVES: Pricey. It's $12 for 4 empanadas and 2 sauces. Hard to find the food truck. I know it's next to Start-Up crossing in Provo on Thurs. nights. They didn't have piononos (sponge cake with dulce de leche) PRICE: 3.49 per empanada, plus .50 sauces. RECOMMENDED: Bacon and gouda empanada was by far the best. They also have beef, chicken, bbq pork, vegetarian options, and a few dessert ones.

Best empanadas you can find here in Utah! Tried the pulled pork and beef, cannot go wrong with any! Totally worth a stop if you're nearby.

I was really put off by this because we were not the only group waiting for an extended time and the two orders in front of us were incorrect so they had to get their adjustments. They are trying to find a theme (they are going with 90's pop culture I guess) and the place feels much homier than the last time we were in. The empanadas were OK. The cheese in my potato egg and cheese was almost like a fake nacho/American cheese. I would not get it again. We also didn't get any sauce and this was one of the best parts when we have been in before. Really hoping this was a glitch- but be warned- don't expect grab and go!

We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and had a lovely conversation, they are the nicest people! They also mentioned that they get their cheese from Argentina, which makes all the difference! The decor and ambiance is fantastic and if you're a 90's fan you'll love sitting on the famous "Friends" couch! Highly recommend and will be back soon!

I tried the beef empanada and really enjoyed the flavorful filling. The pastry was light, flaky, and perfectly crisp. They also had a great selection of bottled drinks, so I tried a traditional purple corn drink. It was sweet, lightly spiced, and unlike anything I'd had before. It was a fun addition to the meal. The shop was very clean with cute décor, although seating is somewhat limited. The staff were friendly, gave great recommendations, and genuinely wanted us to have a great experience. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

There are a few spaces out front, which you end up having to back out into the main road, so be careful! There are some spots in the back lot, but trying to get out is a tight squeeze. I ended up parking across the street in the neighborhood and making my way to the crosswalk and over. The space inside is tight too. There isn't much sitting space; just a long bench with maybe 5 seats if you're trying to dine in. But it is a cute space, and the empanadas are worth the visit. I tried the chicken Gallina and chicken empanadas (savory) and got the applie pie and peach empanadas for dessert. I loved both of my savory empanadas!!!!! Omg I want to come in and try all the flavors. Both dessert empanadas were great, but the apple pie was my fave with the extra crunch on top. Oh my... I was in heaven! I will also say that the hours are a little wonky and it's hard to make it on time, if you're commuting, but worth it! The hours they keep are due to sometimes being at different markets. But overall I loved my experience and will be back for more!

Everyone is so friendly and the service is quick. I remark every single time about how quick they are to serve us our food. They have remembered my family and bring us our drinks without even needing to ask. Their food is delicious, and we appreciate the authenticity. If you haven't been, and aren't near by to partake in their amazing food regularly, you HAVE to try the Philly asada omelet. You won't regret it!! I saw a comment about the restaurant being dark, but the lighting seems great. Anything much brighter would probably upset my eyes, especially early in the morning (as that's when we typically go). Someone also mentioned the wait is long. The restaurant isn't huge, and if you go at a time when everyone else is also going, usually any time after 9, then of course it'll be busy. Go early and it'll be faster, but either way, the wait is completely worth it. Thank you, to the Our Kitchen Cafe family for being so kind to me and my family. We appreciate your business and hope you continue to succeed!

Those pictures posted to their Google Maps are old and don't show it either, apart from some mentions on a marker board. The setting is good and the service is friendly and patient. I had not had Nicaraguan food before and while it has some elements of other Latin cuisines, I benefited from descriptions and recommendations from the host. I settled on a Fritanga, which was a massive plate of beans and rice, grilled pork, grilled steak, plantain chips, half of a soft plantain, a slaw, and came with fried cheese. I got a small, and now have some nice leftovers. On the side I got some boiled cassava "yuca mojo" which had a tasty sauce and was topped with onions. I have had fried but this was my first time with boiled. With a little salt this was very good. Everything in the Fritanga was delicious. It came with a couple of sauces. I found that the creamy mayonnaise-like sauce went well with the grilled pork, and the pickle-y sauce went well with the steak. I would have liked to have had more of each of these. The fried cheese is just that. No extra ingredients, just some oil to fry it. Not sure what kind of cheese. It came off a bit salty. As I was asking for boxes to take all my leftovers home, the host offered me a piece of Tres Leches Cake. This is light and delicious with a nice cream on top. Very nice of them to offer. I wish I had taken a picture of the menu. There are many other Nicaraguan offerings that sound good. A great meal and enough for another!
