    Blue Crab Dip

We stopped here while sightseeing on a hot summer day for a break to have a snack and something to drink. We had wine and beer and shared a blue crab dip appetizer. The drinks were refreshing and hit the spot. We enjoyed the dip. The service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at the outdoor bar and had a view of Broad Creek in the distance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We brought the whole family out to enjoy Poseidon while on vacation on HHI, and it did not disappoint. Service was friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was absolutely fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was delicious...shecrab bisque? Phenomenal. I also really enjoyed the drink menu options. We even tried a thc-based drink. Overall, a place I'd definitely come back to. Can't wait to return to try the rooftop bar as well!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat outside, great view of the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mojitos, strawberry margarita (did not know it was jalapeño infused tequila). Calamari and pimento cheese were super yummy. Excellent service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cool bar area with lots of seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Fried Green Tomato Caprese

I went to Poseidon based on recommendations from a gluten free app I use for restaurants. I would consider this a more casual dining restaurant due to the volume of the restaurant and how busy it seemed. I was seated right away without a reservation. I ordered the fried green tomatoes caprese and the blue crab dip with a glass of wine. The crab dip was creamy and very good. I prefer a little more crab and a little less cream but the taste was on pointe. The fried green tomatoes were a little hard and not as tasty as I expected. The beet, goat cheese salad with fried oysters was perfect. They all paired very nicely together and I was very excited to have gluten free fried oysters. I can't wait to return to try more of their menu. My waitress was also very accommodating and helpful with the menu and suggestions.

Poseidon's rooftop and experience were rated #1 in South Carolina one time and I truly see why! The experience, the food, the frozen strawberry daiquiris.... OUT OF THIS WORLD AWESOME!!!!!! You'll want to make sure you book a reservation early and check to see when they have shows, because it's truly a fun time! The views outside are beautiful too!

Our experience at Poseidon was OK at best. Our sever was really nice, and so was the owner (or manager?) who came by to check on us. The food was average, and definitely overpriced. Out of our party of 7, items from 3 of our meals were forgotten. The duck wings as an appetizer were definitely the best part of the meal. We had some get fried fish & some get broiled (can't exactly remember which fish specifically, in writing this a few days later) but the consensus was the fried seemed to be better. I guess in a touristy town and a restaurant like this we expected it be just okay, however $50 for this entree was disappointing.

Upon the recommendation of our Omni Hilton Head shuttle driver we went to Poseidon. Greatest immediately by the server. He asked if we want inside or outside. We chose the outside bar with plastic roll down windows / wind barriers with a heater over our table. The waitress greeted us promptly and brought waters. We ordered drinks and sushi roll appetizer. Both couples chose to share surf and turf and mixed grill options. Both were delicious both with a filet cooked perfect medium. We visited the Rooftop Bar and Dueling Piano show for the next evening. We are looking forward to g forward to coming back tomorrow night at 7 pm for the show.

My waitress was so amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable of the menu! However, my food was soooo bland, I was so shocked because it was such a great vibe in the restaurant! The oysters were perfectly steamed but I was so disappointed in the deviled crab stuffed cod. The 3 stars were purely because the service was great. The cocktails also needed some tlc.

My party enjoyed all of the dishes served. We started with appetizers that were all amazing. Not pictured but worth noting was the flash fried sushi! Also worthy of mention were the muscles. For the main course, the fishes were well cooked and all flavorful. We also had the best service. He was so kind and carried a good energy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was also very nice rooftop seating![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

So let me begin my review of Hudson seafood house on the dock. My first impression is that this is a local place that has been around a long time and you can actually see and somewhat feel the age of this establishment. It is very popular and Hilton head a great deal of tourist come through their golfers, etc.. The staff is very young teenagers working a summer job who hasn't done that to their 20s and 30s. Shout out to the bartender and to the blind headed waitress who recommended my drink and food choices. You guys are Primo in my book. If you're planning on eating there outside is gorgeous view of the water but it's also very crowded around certain times. Call ahead to reserve tables, especially if you're coming with a large group. This place is great for kids, young kids and adults and if you're an old head like myself, the bar is a place to be. Enjoy a good draft or something on tap.

The location itself is absolutely beautiful, sitting right on the water with an enormous amount of outdoor seating. We decided to sit inside at the bar, which had huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water, and we were even lucky enough to spot a couple of dolphins playing nearby. The first thing I noticed when we sat down was the massive selection of oysters displayed on ice. Even better, it was happy hour and all oysters were half off, so naturally I ordered a dozen and let the bartender choose the best ones for me. Every single one was fresh and delicious. We also shared a she-crab soup that was packed with flavor and had the perfect texture. Earlier in the trip we had ordered she-crab soup somewhere else and it was watery and disappointing, so this one definitely made up for it. The restaurant was pretty quiet during the daytime, although the bartender mentioned it gets much busier at night. Before leaving, we walked outside along the dockside of the building toward the front and saw the massive covered outdoor seating area overlooking the water. It definitely feels like the kind of place that comes alive at night, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have live music as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

The fried green tomatoes had a good flavor, though the plate looked sparse with only three pieces. A fourth would have made the dish seem more complete. The flounder sandwich was under-seasoned and the "fresh fruit" did not live up to its name. The calamari came as small rings that were kind of chewy rather than crisp. Although not a lump crab crab cake it was mostly crab and had a good flavor. It was served with a scoop of potatoes and broccolini. The broccolini was very limp and had absolutely no flavor. We heard it's a great place to catch the sunset, but based on our meal, we would more than likely not visit again.
