SO GOOD. We tried to go to a pizza place near Ocean Beach but being out-of-towners didn't realize how CRAZY BUSY it would be. We ordered 3 different ones, Hot Honey, BBQ Chicken and Pepperoni (for the kids). Loved every single one. My 4 yr old (VERY picky eater, like he eats with his eyes first and won't touch anything green) absolutely loved this place. He ate half of the pepperoni and barely came up for a breath! A secret gem in the Bay Ho area! Everyone overlooks them because they don't exactly have a ton of beers on tap (8 to be exact) but the lineup changes every week and most are from local breweries. Their main focus is on their bottles of craft beer and wine. They have bottles in the fridge to go and another list of bottles that are for in-house consumption only. You can consume any there for no corkage fee. Personal bottles brought on-site are subject to a $5 corkage fee (very pricey!). Expect to find some hard-to-find/ non-SD beers both in the fridges and on their specialty bottle list. These are a tad on the pricier side, but it's totally worth it because it's difficult to get these in SD anyways. Hell yes to De Garde, Upland, Crooked Stave, Logsdon, and Rare Bottle! They boast a decently sized space, offer plenty of seating, and they are also dog friendly. Often times, they invite vendors to serve up food to hungry customers! Customer service can be a hit or miss depending on who's manning the place. Shout out to Stew, the man! He hooked it up with some pours on our last visit since we were splurging on bottles left and right. Awesome spot and perfect for any large gathering! We decided to try a pizza from Poseidon while visiting a family home near by. I'm giving them 3 stars only because the staff was great. Very friendly. Even with friendly staff the bottom line is it's the food that brings you back to any restaurant. We were really hoping we'd found a really good pizza place near the family vacation home. NOPE! The quality of the ingredients where good, but the pizza itself was really pretty bad. They do a thin crust which we like, but this was limp and the texture was unusually chewy. Not the experience we're used to in our pizza. It really didn't have that pizza dough flavor. Kinda hard to describe. Anyway not for us especially considering it cost $20 for a 12" pie. Had it been good we'd have been happy paying that price for a high quality pizza. Maybe our experience was a one off but we'll never know. read more

My Experience Met a friend here for happy hour drinks on a Thursday evening. Plenty of free street parking, and we were both lucky enough to find a spot right in front. The inside is nicely done, apparent from the moment you walk in that the owner spent some money on the decor. The owner Nate greeted us as we walked in and was very attentive while we were there. I did notice that he approached every party and seemed to genuinely care about everyones experience. The Beer list was diverse and the pizza looked too good to pass up. We ordered a vegeterian pizza and the quality of the pizza was impressive. The ingredients were very fresh and genorously spread throughout the entire pie. I picked up the pizza after waiting in a line for 30 minutes bottlenecked by one register. Got home and the pizza was cold, soggy, didn't have the pepperonis that we were charged for. 0 stars, honestly would have preferred a microwaveable pizza over what we got. Then I opened the wings and saw what ended up being the worst wings I've ever received. They were charred black, not sure who thought putting those in the box thought anyone would be ok with eating those, but we aren't. 33 bucks for all this? Never again.
