Rip off Report : Against my better judgement I came by to mail a box because I was in a rush and did not want to drive to the post office. The man behind the counter tried to charge me $65 to mail a small box from SD to LA lol I was really offended as he must of thought I was a sucker but I mail things often and know the cost. This is the worst business I have ever encountered. We spent more than $200 to package and ship a lamp. Postal Annex packaged the metal chain of the lamp loosely within the glass globe and when it arrived at our house, the lamp was shattered. In spite of paying for full insurance on the lamp, Postal Annex refused reimburse a penny. Instead they insisted on filing for a reimbursement through FedEx, even though there was no evidence that FedEx broke the lamp -- it was clearly the result of the packaging. When finally FedEx investigates and saw nothing wrong with the shipping, Postal Annex then changed their story and suggested to me on the phone that I broke the lamp sometime between its arrival and opening. We are now out more than $600 between the lamp and the shipping. We have considered contacting a lawyer, but then COVID hit and now maybe it's too much of a headache. Also, we contacted the national company that manages the Postal Annex franchises and they sided with their franchise owner saying that it was clearly the responsibility of FedEx. We will also be writing a similar review for the national company for not looking out for their customers. Please never do business with the Lemon Grove Postal Annex or the national Postal Annex brand. read more

Went to get copies after my other Copy Center cancelled. Service was pleasant, they even gave me a cold water while I waited. I would just say that they seem a bit disorganized and one of the employees doesn't really seem to know what he's doing, but fortunately the manager (or owner?) was there to help him. One, the prices are not always fair or the best offering. Two, the practices are not always correct, particularly with notarizing paperwork. I cannot believe what just happened! As all have mentioned VERY POOR SERVICE and prejudiced behaviors toward women. I called the previous day and the guy was rude but I gave him a benefit of the doubt. The next day I go in and wait, he went down the line and told who he could help and who he put on the backburner. When he got to me I needed fingerprinting done and I was with my son who is severely autistic. He rips my paper and starts walking off and I said can you take your time this is my first time, but of course he ignored my comment. Mind you the day before I checked the prices online on their website and these services were stated as $31.00. The guy comes back and states I need $65.00. I said why does the website state a different price? The guy goes off stating he is free and free in this country, and I said ok so am I? Then he states all the time directly talking to my nonverbal severe autistic son as if I wasn't standing there that service had been refused. I waved my hand in front of him and stated can you talk to me because my son doesn't understand you and I'm paying. He states get out! I wanted to ship a package local and they wanted to charge me $16.00. I said I didn't want to ship and just wanted to purchase the box that I had used to pack my belongings in. She explained to me that she would have to charge me three dollars for the box in cash. I explained that I did not have cash on me but would still like to purchase the box with a debit card. The boss came over and she explained the situation to him. He explained that he had already printed out the shipping label and would be incurring a cost. I explain that shipping a package local for $16 was not in my budget. He told me to never come back into his store again. I told him as a fellow business owner I would never treat a customer this way. I love helping small businesses, especially local. I plan to never step foot in that door again. The worst ever. Went here for a live scan because of an advertised price of $9.99 on craigslist and his website. When I got there he charged me $15.99 and claimed someone else posted the ad on craigslist and he did not know about it. This is a 1 man operation so this was complete bs. He then encourages you to use your credit card because he doesn't want to hassle with a check, but does not tell you about the $4 surcharge he is going to add on to the bill. This is the worst Postal Annex in all of Southern California. The owner, Mehul Rawal, is ripping off the entire community by overcharging for every service available serving a low income area. His rates for everything are higher than La Jolla and Malibu. I rented a PMB here for 12 years and when Mehul took over there is no package notification, missed slips in the box for packages, misdirected mail in my box not belonging to me and every time you renew your box no matter what the term the price gouges keep going up like the price of gas. He is charging over $400 a year for a PMB. When I said I am not renewing and leaving, he is not honoring the Postal Annex signed contract and not holding mail for 30 days after termination of the box and says my old agreement is not enforceable and that he will hold my mail "for one day because you are not paying." He treats people poorly and all he cares about is getting your money. There is no customer service whatsoever. Please do not patronize this location, find a different place to take care of your postal needs. This is happing to many box holders and we are all leaving, so do not bring him any business. If you are also having a problem, please contact the corporate offices of Postal Annex right here in San Diego, 800-767-8252 and leave a message and they will call you back. The only way corporate will know of this terrible franchisee owner is if people call and complain. The proprietor of this business at this location is a scam artist. I rented a box there for my business and began receiving packages however once my packages started arriving the owner would not release them to me unless I paid him an additional $0.25 per package delivered. I brought in a package to be shipped via UPS because USPS doesn't deliver to my friend's door. I wrote down the address and was charged $10 for shipping. After that, I kept asking my friend if she'd gotten it but nothing. Almost two weeks later, the package arrives at my door because it turns out the guy shipped it USPS i stead of UPS. On top of that, he charged me $10 but ended up putting the package in a $5 USPS Priority Mail envelope. What a ripoff and horrible service to boot! Absolutely horrible treatment of customers. I've been here a few times, several times to drop off packages and twice to purchase shipping supplies and they have been consistently rude each time. For a business that doesn't need to provide much in the way of service they are in incredibly rude and hostile towards customers. Unsure how they stay in business with these prices. I just attempted to purchase 3, 2" x 18" mailing tubes. He tells me my total is $13 something with tax. My mind was blown. $3.99 for one tube? Victor was awesome. I don't usually write reviews but this guy deserves it. I had to get my lease notarized, scanned, emailed and sent overnight express. Not only did he do all of that quickly, but it was also much cheaper than I expected. The rental agency had an issue with the notary signature and Victor fixed it free of charge. He was really friendly and professional. I very much appreciate his service. It was a moderately busy while I was there, yet he still greeted customers and performed other transactions while helping me. I definitely recommend his services! read more

I went here for a Livescan and after waiting for the FBI to respond (two weeks after DOJ responded) I contacted the store to see if they could check to make sure they requested FBI check. After talking to Christian who told me to leave my info so they could get back to me (did this 3 times with no call back) I insisted that he help me. Well that's when he out victor on the phone to help me. He did not, he lied to me. He said "if I didn't here anything that means I'm good" (their is no truth or logic in that statement).
