I don't normally write reviews, but this experience earned it. I've now had two great interactions at Postal Annex (1177 Branham Lane), both with Susanna LaCroix. The first time, the store was busy, and she handled everything smoothly. She stayed calm, acknowledged customers waiting, and kept things moving in a way that felt organized and respectful of everyone's time. The second time is what really stood out. I came in expecting to redo an important Trustline document that had been lost. Instead, Susanna immediately stepped in, went to her secured office, located the document, made a copy, and had me taken care of within minutes. When I asked how much I owed, she told me not to worry about it and just come back if I needed anything else. That level of service is hard to find these days. I came to Postal Annex for the first time to pay for an international shipment via DHL. I arrived at *** 9:10 in the morning on a Tuesday ***, to make sure I was early enough that my package could be picked up by DHL the same day, as the shipment was urgent. I paid for 2-day DHL delivery (which I did get from DHL, once they actually had the package - no complaints there.) However, my package wasn't handed over to DHL until **** Wednesday at 4:30PM - the following day *** This is confirmed by DHL tracking information. What is the point of saying "This is urgent, get it there as soon as possible" and Postal Annex holds onto the package for 36 hours? If they couldn't do their job, I would have appreciated letting me know so I could go somewhere that actually takes responsibility for shipping packages instead of just collecting your money. Postal Annex - Never again. Disgraceful. read more

Today we went to the Postal Annex at 1177 Branham Ln, San Jose, to get our passport pictures taken so we can renew our passports before next year's travel. The staff at this store were SO lovely! Susanna and her assistant skillfully juggled us, several other people who came in for photos or to drop off packages or buy bubble wrap, with pleasant efficiency and a positive attitude! They were so nice and knowledgeable that we agreed to let them handle the renewal, even if we could have done it online ourselves. A short time later - with a short interruption to watch a little infant get his photos taken for Baby's Fist Passport, we have our packages sealed up and on their way! This place is not advisable if you want to send something via fedex. They charged me FedEx 2 day service for $114 and promised that my package will arrive by Friday night 8 pm on Wednesday at 5pm. Guess what they didn't even have Fedex pick up the next day morning and it was picked up only on Thursday night and FedEx informed me that 2 days shipping will be now on Monday. But that means my package was useless as my friend was leaving the country on Saturday night. When I called the postal annex I was told that oh once the package leaves our location we have no control and I have to call fedex to deal with. Now the interesting part is FedEx is returning to me my package with 2 days and charging me only $13. What these guys at Postal annex is charging is outrageous and complete robbery and that too for poor service and lies. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS STORE if you can!! read more

Love this location, it's become my regular go to drop off spot. I originally found this location next to the post office because the postal office doesn't have access to printing out labels. Susanna is amazing, and everyone here is also really helpful and super efficient. I had a great experience and felt like they provided excellent customer service. Went in just for a box to ship something. Got no greeting or even acknowledgement that I had entered the store despite walking past two employees. The store is a mess and completely unorganized I couldn't find what I needed and the employees were all busy talking to each other to even notice I needed help. I had a very good experience. I needed a Livescan and Suzanne helped me with that. I did not have an appointment but she started working with me within about 5 minutes of me arriving. There were other customers that arrived after me, and there was another customer service representative that was able to handle their needs while Suzanne was busy with me. She was very knowledgeable and kind and made a very positive impression working me through the parts of the process. I had such a positive experience at Postal Annex thanks to Sanya. She helped me notarize a contract and an affidavit, both of which required additional forms. On top of that, I was given odd and confusing instructions afterwards about how the company needed the documents sent by FedEx Express. Sanya was incredibly kind and patient. She took the time to carefully read everything with me, explain each step, and make sure I followed the instructions correctly so that my forms were both notarized and mailed exactly as required. Government forms are rarely simple, but she truly went above and beyond to make the process stress free. This review is for Postal Annex on Branham. I went there to mail 36 inch high garden flamingos and 2 round iron garden wall decorations to Las Vegas. The 2 employees, Sanya and Suzanne, worked hard to find the correct packaging for these odd shapes. They bubble wrapped my items with great care and packed them safely for mailing. While I waited I was offered water and a seat. When the owner arrived he did the same. I received friendly, focused customer service. read more

Deceiving, rip off! I went in assuming it actually belonged to the post office, since it says postal annex and has official postal sign in window! I bought international stamps, and was surprised by the high charge. One sheet should have been 16.50$ but the owner charged me 23$. When I looked it up and inquired he said no, that is post office price, he charges more! Wouldn't refund me. Total rip off and bad experience! read more

My Family and I have been customers for over 25 years. The son and the female friend/relative that work there are very nice. Unfortunately they are very seldom there. The husband and wife are not friendly at all and quite rude. I have been YELLED at because I got what they thought was a large package approx 3.5x3.5x3.5. The wife called me at work and started YELLING at me repeatedly to pick up my package immediately! Then a year later they informed us, we cannot get more than 5 packages a month. I went in today to pick up my Amazon package and they said they will not be receiving Amazon packages anymore. The husband told me that it's because Amazon makes them sign for each package rather than one signature for several. Going forward, Amazon packages will be refused. Our contract does not specify these changes. These owners change the regulations according to their mood, and to top it off they do it with an attitude. We all have bad days but you don't take it out on your loyal customers. If you are having a great and happy day and want to ruin it, stop by and ask them for their service. read more

Livescan/fingerprinting I originally went to UPS to do my live scan and after a month of not getting a status update from my agency I called UPS for an update only for them to brush me off and say that it's not their problem. I decided to do a new live scan and found this place nearby. I explained my situation to the gentleman and he was very knowledgeable and explained to me about the process. He has owned his livescan since 2008 and it gets electronically sent to the DOJ within minutes (he literally showed me on his screen the moment it gets transferred to when it gets completed). Sure enough, I went home and decided to check my status on the DOJ website and it was completed and forwarded to my agency! Andddd the fee is cheaper than UPS! Thank you for your service! read more

I needed to ship packages several times in the last week, and they have been very helpful. I even had to have some paperwork notarized, and sent overnight. They printed the files, notarized them, double checked everything, and we made the deadline for UPS pickup. Everything has arrived on time, and the staff is very efficient. They know exactly what to do to get things done. They also have a very nice selection of greeting cards, and can make duplicate house keys. Of course, it is a huge plus that they are close to my home but I would probably go there even if I lived a little further away. read more

If i could give zero stars i would !!!!! Omg i went in to fax something and i was just waiting in line and the lady working there was very rude to the customer before me . The customer kept repeating to her what she wanted and the owner was very rude and very short with her and telling her I DONT KNOW WHAT U WANT TELL ME WHAT U WANT I DONT UNDERSTAND YOU ! The customer was very clear on what size box she wanted and everything . Their store is also very hot and very dusty . But the customer service is horrible ! This location is whack. I only went to this location because it was in the vicinity of another errand I was running at the time. The other one by Aborn is very fast and efficient. This one was hella Slow service. I simply had to drop off a few packages: one from FedEx and one from USPS... owner said I couldn't leave my USPS package with him and told me to go to USPS across the street. He proceeded to give me some lame explanation of why he couldn't take it while he was helping another customer and I was walking out, but I really couldn't understand wtf he was saying. All I know is that it literally is posted outside their shop that they ship for Fed Ex, UPS, and United States Postal Services. The Aborn location NEVER has given me problems with USPS packages in all the years I've visited them. This place sucks and that worker was just freaking lazy. read more

Its zero star not one I was there yesterday. They don't accept less than 10 dollars by card and my prints were 8 dollars and the very rude lady who works there didn't speak a word to me from the time I entered the store until the time I paid, and I was there for 15 minutes. I wanted to pay 8 dollars and I didn't have it with me by cash, and she said that I can pay her 10 dollars to be paid by card. They use any method to get more money from you and not pay their own taxes. Of course, I didn't accept that and that lady didn't give me my prints until I gave her 8 dollars by cash. I will never go there. And because they want to pay less tax, she wasted my time and she really tried to convince me to pay $10. they only talk with the customers when they want to pay thats all, even if you stay there for 1hour to print something or anything else they not care about you they only care about mony and their taxes . read more

If you ever want to annoy the living xxxx out of someone, go here. You don't have to say or do anything. Just walk in. Your presence alone will put the lady over the edge. She will be frustrated, annoyed, and have the worst day of her life by just seeing you walk into her store. If you are not looking to ruin somebody else's day, just go to USPS, circle around for parking spot, wait in loooong line, and deal with mediocre customer service. If you want to be aggravated, this would be the place you'd want to go to. I was there for a simple service. Since this place was the closest by about 1/4 mile, I chose it. Unfortunately the service was not available, due to their internet being down. Now I understand that this is beyond their control, however their treatment of me was rude and discourteous and not how anyone should treat customers. Am I the only one who feels this way - just have a look at the other reviews and you'll see its a common trend. This is would be the last time I'll visit this place. There are other options within the vicinity for the same services they provide, I'd rather take my business to a place that treats me like they want my business versus a place that makes me feel like I have to beg them to get the service that I'm paying for. read more
