The building used to be an old neighborhood cinema, but now it's home to this mailbox center that's finally having its glow-up moment. And let me tell you: the new team is a massive upgrade. The two guys running it now? Friendly, accommodating, and actually happy to help. A total 180 from the previous workers, who... well, let's just say customer service was not their strong suit. I honestly avoided this place before, but now it feels completely different--in a good way. I drop off all my FedEx and UPS packages here, and I pick up my boxes from Amazon, UPS, and FedEx at this location too. Super convenient, no stress. I also got my passport photos taken here, and they did an excellent job with those as well. They offer PO boxes, mailboxes, notary services, passport photos, fingerprinting, and just an overall smooth experience. If you need mailing or document services in Sherman Oaks, this is officially a yes from me.

I had important documents including a driver's license that needed to be shipped to my son in England, which I sent to be held for pick up. When my son arrived at the pick-up location, he was told by the staff in England that there was a special code he needed or they couldn't release the package (it was sent no signature required, addressed to him, and he had ID.) Knowing how impossible Fed Ex is to deal with, I went in person to Studio City Mailboxes to ask for help. One of the two employees on duty spent over an hour working with me on this before calling Michelle, the manager, who remembered me sending the package and said she would work on it even though she was not presently on duty in the store. It took several days to resolve because no one but Michelle and the staff at Studio City Mailboxes seemed to care or be willing to make any effort to resolve the issue. Michelle spent DAYS contacting Fed Ex, keeping me informed of her process, and even called my son in England to make sure he was ultimately successful picking up his package. Michelle then gave me a courtesy refund of the $70 charge for Fed Ex. I hope that Studio City Mailboxes was not out of pocket for the time and effort they made to resolve an important issue. This is what customer service by humans, not a chatbot, looks like. Both Michelle and her colleague understood the problem (which was not of their making) and the importance of correcting it, and did everything they could think of until it was resolved. They easily could have shrugged and given me the phone number for Fed Ex (which no human answers) but they never put it on me to solve this or to pay for inadequate service. I've been coming to Studio City Mailboxes for years, I've seen the staff, especially Michelle, deal with difficult customers and frustrating situations, and staff has always been courteous, professional, and proactive. I don't understand why my packages were shipped to this location when I have 2 UPS stores nearby. Anyway, walked in yesterday around 10AM and was helped by Ali, he was a bit slow, but as a new employee knew his job very well. People were rushing him, but he took his time along with my tracking number and finally handed me my packages. Services that are being offered are: printing, faxing, scanning, shipping, shredding documents, copy making, have plenty of mailboxes, and have vast section for stationary. I am satisfied with all the UPS stores that I have been to, but this time I have been given the runaround which was unnecessary and painful. Place is small, with metered parking and a small parking in the back. Every service has its own value and price. Got my packages and left.
