I've been hearing about Postino but haven't had a chance to try this restaurant out since moving to Gilbert just over a year ago. Well now I've been here twice and each time it was a great experience. Staff are always friendly, helpful and attentive. Parking around the area is ample. I get the bruschetta board and all selections have been delicious. My husband tried the nine iron sandwich and he enjoyed it. He just wished the chicken inside was also warmed up. I got my daughter the Turkey cheese kids platter meal and she devoured it. The staff member also treated us to some ice cream. My daughter was over the moon excited about it. we came here for a Monday happy hour and was quickly seated in the patio area. It was still warm but the misters, umbrellas, and a soft breeze helped it make it more comfortable. The space is such a vibe it feels like you're on a little getaway in the middle of downtown Gilbert. For drinks: we tasted the Fringe white blend 2020 and then the PERFEKT Riesling 2020 which stood out to me as a solid option for the evening. Refreshing, crisp for a hot day, and of course sweet, but not too sweet. lol. Just how I like it. We also got a blackberry smash NA drink which was a unique refreshing mix of tea and lemonade and again sweet, but not too sweet. We shared a board (which is pictured) from top to bottom: fresh mozzarella, tomato, & basil; sweet n' spicy pepper jam & goat cheese; ricotta, dates & pistachio; & their seasonal which was pears, arugula, Gorgonzola (it was missing the candied walnuts it was suppose to have). Our servers were attentive and not pushy. The only thing that stood out that I did not care for was that we were alerted that there were no more candies walnuts available as he placed the board down. It would have been nice to be alerted of this ahead of time in case we wanted to swap one of the bruschetta options.
