This location has a great vibe and awesome patio as well as a cool dining room. The service during our visit (2 of us) was welcoming and fun. We were there during lunch and they had happy hour going during that time. The West Coaster panini I got was excellent, just the right amount of crunch (toasted) on the focaccia. This is such a wonderful spot for any type of get together! The ambiance is chill, eclectic, and forward. Their bruschetta board is my favorite because you get to customize what you are feeling in the moment. The ingredients were very flavorful and fresh. The fried capers were surprisingly delicious! I ordered the Creme brûlée and Chocolate Bouchon. Both were okay. The service was awesome! Mallory was attentive, friendly, and a joy to be around. The other servers kept our water glasses full and table clean. I ordered their Sauv Blanc (Brett's Pick) and thoroughly enjoyed the lightness, crispy citrus, and slightly acidic profile. My group of 10 tried to dine at a nearby restaurant but the wait was over an hour long. We called Postino and they said they could take our group almost immediately. We moved our group over and were seated right away. Love the indoor outdoor concept. We were seated at their large patio. Although it was a little chilly at the time of our visit, they placed a couple of heaters near our table. It was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They didn't miss a beat. All of our orders came out promptly and accurately. Everyone was pleased. We ordered a few apps to share, entrees, and dessert. I tried the maitake mushroom, crispy cauliflower, and four different bruschettas. Some of my favorites were the maitake mushroom as well as the smoked salmon & pesto, brie, apple & fig spread, and the warm artichoke spread bruschettas. Great combination of flavors! Love coming here for a quick bit with my fiancé. Our favorite things to get is the board of picking 4. The apple fig and brie, the goat cheese and tomato, the spicy jelly with goat cheese, and lastly.. their new addition which is street corn. These flavors are always a favorite when dining in! Service is quick, prompt, and all of the waiters are eager to assist. Unfortunately AZ keeps getting hotter so sitting outside is not in our playbook, but whenever we do stay inside, it remains cool, clean, and chill. We love to come here for happy hour or just an early dinner and prefer to sit at the bar. The last time we went we came on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy but not too long of a wait. I absolutely love the team service there...it makes it feel like everyone is helping out and you're not waiting long to order or ask a question, etc. We got the bruschetta board with Spicy Pepper Jam and Goat Cheese (our favorite), Bacon, burrata, and arugula (also delicious), and pesto and salami (simple but delicious). The Skewers appetizer was also something we snacked on and it was pretty good, the saucy is yummy. It's such a cute and trendy place to come grab a nice glass of vino or a pitcher of beer. Absolutely love all of the bruschetta- especially the fig and prosciutto. What knocked me out were the beef skewers as shareables. The staff is great. No problem if you decide to change to an outside table midstream. And then there's the wine- stay mid-range and go with the California blends. The Italian Barolo is a bit overpriced and not approachable- save that for Tomasos. Hats off to Postino - we joined. read more

Was invited by my daughter for the first time to try out her favorite spot. It was very cozy and smoothing. The music was not too high. We ordered a glass of wine, unsweetened tea and a cucumber lemonade. All three were refreshing. We started out by ordering the skewers meat and chicken with a very tasty Sicilian dip. We had Bruschetta build your board. My board had mushroom mascarpone, french onion, street corn and burrata bacon with arugula & tomato. They were the perfect size and very delicious. Also included we ordered half panini and half soup. West coaster panini had smoked ham, avocado, arugula,roasted garlic aioli, pickled red onion and feta cheese, accompanied with the soup of moment. The only thing that was missing was our server, didn't really interact with us, yeah she took our orders, but others brought me our food or refilled our drinks. They have misters that allows you to be able to use the outdoor seating which is helpful. The wait for a table for 7 people on a Wednesday at 6 was for 45 minutes and they don't take reservations. The service was courteous and prompt. The food is not bad. Nothing glorious but respectable for casual guests. The fries with the panini were not the freshest but the focaccia bread for the panini was delicious I am a cauliflower fan so it served as a good appetizers. They didn't have Diet Coke for some reason but they did have non-alcoholic beer if you don't want to imbibe :) read more

They have a great wine selection as well, and we tried dessert for the first time which was phenomenal! The service was a little slow, but friendly so we overlooked the time to get our boards. Now, about the food-- tasty, unique and consistently good.... Having said that... I had ordered a new dessert ... with a beautiful presentation and was surprised when the fork bounced back at me! Not acceptable... I had also ordered a few "to go" things and when it was delivered by the manager... wasn't sure what was going on. Manager "comped" that "forked" dessert and added an extra goody! Try the Butcher's Block, a Cheese Board, or The Bounty for you crudités lovers.  They also have paninis, soups, salads, and desserts.  To be noted, they also offer gluten-free bread for an up-charge.  Wine, beer, mimosas, and bellinis are served so cheers!  If you're not into booze, I hear their Honey Cucumber Lemonade is refreshing. Postino is AMAZING! Visited on a Thursday night after getting a recommendation from a friend that Postino is a must. The vibe is just the cutest! String lights, dimly lit ambiance, creative seating throughout the restaurant, and a lively atmosphere. We sat at the bar and the server/bartender assisting us was so friendly! He was hilarious and helpful. We ordered a bruschetta board, potato leek soup (soup of the moment), rasberry chicken salad, and hannahs field salad. Literally everything we ordered tasted so good and was devoured within minutes. I highly recommend all of these items! Our meal felt well balanced with the veggie and carb ratio. OASIS PATIO! WOW I love the patio here! They have so many misters to keep the whole patio cool. It's all shaded. Even on a hot September day, the patio was nice and cool! There is an abundance of beautiful plants to keep it looking like an oasis. I'll be coming back to this location in particular just because of the amazing patio. Can't go wrong with the drinks here, $5 wine before 5pm! The brunch cocktails are $7 and quite delicious. I got the 'Lectric Eye, which was similar to an Aperol Spritz. It was so good! Wanted something on the lighter side for date night and this is what the Wife suggested. Was the perfect fit, though you might think it is too hot to sit outside, the misters kept things comfortable (and we were grateful for that as it was too loud to think if you sat inside). My only knock was that our server really didn't bother to check back with us on whether we needed refills (we did). About the time I was about get up and go to the bar, we decided to just pay the check and leave. Doing so required us to flag down another server to collect my AMEX, which had been sitting at the table ten plus minutes. So, while the food was good, the service sucked. Postinos is a consistent establishment. Whether in Arcadia or Tempe, the food is good. The wine selection is great. Happy Hour ($5 before 5) makes for a great wet lunch. Came on Friday after getting in town. My good friend lives nearby and she knows that I love wine. We shared some brushetta and each got a salad. I had a few glasses of $5 wine and she had $5 draft pitcher of beer. We sat at the bar because restaurant was packed. Postinos is a great place to unwind and enjoy some good drinks. We always love the casual yet sophisticated atmosphere that you don't have to get all fancy and dolled up for but can still dress up a little bit without looking out of place. The staff is generally kind or at least helpful to answer questions. They also always ask about allergies which I find to be thoughtful. Postino South Tempe, and really the entire Postino's chain really stand out with their consistency. You always know what you're going to get and it's usually delicious. The patio at this location is beautiful, I especially like the outdoor fireplace come winter and fall. However, its trendiness has lead to usually long wait times, and the staff tends to undersell how long that wait really is. Earlier this year I went for happy hour with girlfriends and a 15 minute estimate turned into waiting half an hour. Just recently a 20 minute wait was well over an hour. We waited, left, and were ordering food at another restaurant by the time our table was available here. Furthermore, parking here is a nightmare. It's a small lot and due to its location, you can't really "park down the block" and walk. So if you have some time and need something generally good and cute, this is your place. If you're hungry and don't have/want to wait a while, there's definitely other options within this price range that can do equally well if not better. read more
