Went in for my friends bday dinner, it was a party of 15. The service was excellent to say the least! The minute we walked in we were greeted by such a nice lady. So happy and friendly. The 2 waiters we had were just as great. They were always checking up on us. The food was great! I got a board and a glass of wine. The total was around $35. The parking lot is big and enough parking. Janea, the manager was SUPER awesome. She went above and beyond and was such a sweet heart and so friendly and very attentive to our needs. My mom and sister live in Tempe and come here all the time!!! My sister had her baby, and my mom decided to bring me and the MIL here to celebrate! The vibe is so cute! I recently received a survey stating to tell them which restaurant I preferred and my experience and in exchange I would receive a complimentary bruschetta board, when I went to redeem it today it said it had expired! My first time at this location and I will say that it was definitely a challenge to find parking and they don't validate parking either. The place has a cozy indoor and outdoor space. The food was satisfactory overall. I had the apricot palmer that was refreshing - a twist from the traditional with that stone fruit flavor. My main dish was grilled cheese with tomato soup which is always a great combination. The grilled cheese had a unique sharpness to it so I enjoyed it alot. I enjoy this place and the food. However, the last two times it's been kind of weird. I order wine or a nice IPA. I've never been carded in a restaurant before however this place I have been the last two times. Let's just say I'm 46 years old and my wife is 48 and we had our two kids with us 8 and 11. I'm flattered to have the waitress think I'm 20 but I assure you I do not look 20 with white hair and a beard. This is the same as carding a 80 year old for cigarettes at a gas station. There doesn't seem to be common sense at time of taking an order, but before I have the manager respond to this review defending the waitress and saying I'm wrong to bring this up in a review, thank you for the drinks they were good. The food is always good. The atmosphere is as dark as my room at 3 am I had to use the light on my phone to look at the menu just like a 46 year old male with bad vision. Oh wait, I forgot I'm 46 I thought I just turned 21 since I got carded at a restaurant. So back to the pricing. I did get charged extra that did not correlate to the prices on the menu which was confusing and concerning. The manager stated they upped their prices and did not reflect that on the menu prices (Way to go management)! There were no prices for the kid drinks and they were charges $4.00 a piece which is fine but for the love of god just state that. However, before the manager or owner jumps in here responding to my review and start blaming me for everything. Just update the prices and add the extra prices to the menu so there is no confusion. Also, the kids loved the chocolate milk. The tipping was wrong by the way. I usually love tipping the wait staff a higher percentage. However, getting carded and priced up charge for the outing really stuck out to me as a sore thumb and the waitress seemed put off and she had her manager come to our table twice. But hey the chef is awesome and the chips were the bomb! I loved the food and the bathroom is nice as well. I tipped 18% the little machine they bring to the table gave me an option to tip 28 36 or 68% so I tipped 18% and choose custom tip and guess what when I did the little machine states my custom tip was 16%. I guess my calculus 1 and 2 in collage was all for nothing. Honestly, I know they were up-charging the tip to the taxes total of the first total that was up charged. Finally before the wait staff or manager or owner jumps on here and says it's all my fault and I'm never allowed to come eat their wonderful restaurant made chips. I love the food and I hope the menu gets updated and please add prices to items to the menu that do not. (Kids drinks) I mean it's not going to break the bank not knowing the pricing however it's about the principle of it. And please teach the wait staff to practice common sense about how to spot a 20 year old versus a 40 + year old. read more

I've been going to Postino for so many years, and I feel like I've tried everything on their menu. Looks like recently they introduced some new items to their menu, which is great for some variety! They have great deals on wine/beer. Their most popular item is the bruschetta board, where you can choose 4 different options. I don't know if the portion sizes have changed, or I'm just eating more, but I feel like the bruschetta board isn't enough food to share between 2 people without ordering something else to split. One thing to note is that the parking lot is quite small with other businesses in the same plaza. I would recommend going either a little earlier or doing a late dinner if you don't want to keep circling around and getting frustrated about the parking situation. read more

I never thought I would post anything negative about ANY Postino's. A friend and I visited for board and bottle night. Austin, our server was the best... polite, patient and kind, young and full of positive energy. Our water glasses never fell below half. As always, great bruschetta and wine. UNFORTUNATELY the olive oil cake was presented BURNED!!! When I asked Austin, he replied that he questioned the serving, and the manager told him the entire loaf was burned. When she arrived all she could reply was, "I'm sorry." "You instructed him to serve it, even though it is burned?" "I'm sorry." "You do realize, the burned flavor permeates the entire serving." "I'm sorry." "You don't think this is a VERY BAD idea to serve this to a customer?" "I'm sorry." "You do realize this makes Austin look very bad?" "I'm sorry." The bill had already been closed. We requested compensation. The server taking over for Austin presented a gift card, of which we have no idea the amount on it. For a chef to present this to a server to present to a customer is shameful. It probably would have been a good idea to say to customers, "The olive oil pound cake is not available tonight." We were a large party with a reservation for 18. The tables were arranged for us, but half in the shade and half in full sun. Because we are a group of retirees, many could not sit in the sun, and a few chose a high top nearby to avoid that. The waitress accidentallly knocked a small container of cream into one of us soaking (and ruining) her purse and leaving a giant wet white mess around her chair. The server made absolutely NO effort to remedy this situation. My friend began to empty the contents of her purse, wipe down her cane and finally move to the other end of the tables. Others grabbed napkins and attempted to help her and try to soak it up. The gooey white mess remained between our two long tables for at least 20 minutes until I requested service to clean it up. Meanwhile, my friend across from me was waiting for her lunch another 15 minutes after everyone else had their food. We had to hail someone to alert them. She got her salad, but not the half sandwich. We both ordered the Greens Salad that is supposed to have poppy seed vinegrette. Neither salad had any dressing. I gave up and ate mine anyway. My friend got some dressing on the plate with her long delayed sandwich. The resulting confusion when the original waitress was reassigned was unacceptable service. We come here all the time and love postinos but we were here last Monday and our service was horrendous. The guy we had at first was cute and bubbly but after he left it was basically pulling teeth to get service. We watched our food sit in the window for ten minutes. We also made jokes that's probably not ours and sure enough the moment they grabbed it, it came to our table. And one of the orders was fondue :( Our server when she would set something down wouldn't even stop walking to set it down would run by our table with one hand and set it down which is impressive but also made us feel like we were just another person putting money in her pocket.
