This is my third visit to this restaurant, and I'm delighted that a small hot pot place has opened up here in Eastvale. My family and I absolutely love the individual hot pot concept. I've tried pot on fire at other place in Chino before, and while they offer a wider variety of flavors, I find the meat and vegetables here fresher. Moreover, I've had a chance to taste their broth carefully (I suggest everyone do the same when they add the broth), and it's indeed a rich broth simmered to perfection, distinct from others that use seasoning packets only. The staff informed us that they are still in a soft opening period, with more activities planned for the future. I'm eagerly looking forward to them. Pros: There's a wide variety of choices, and they offer children's meals, making it suitable for family outings. The selection of vegetables in the hot pot is generous, and I highly recommend their black and green teas. (comes free during lunch) The interior is nice with a touch f yellow, and we can tell by their advertisement and Instagram account they did a great job on the graphics and designs. Food recommendations: Signature Taiwanese Hot Pot, Chicken Sandwich, and Popcorn Chicken. Cons: The tabletops aren't cleaned thoroughly, so be mindful of that. I've been to this restaurant 5 times already and every time I enjoyed it very much. So far I have tried the Satay beef pot, the Japanese Miso seafood pot, the chicken sandwich with 3 cup basil sauce and chicken sandwich with black pepper sauce. I've had the satay beef pot twice and they are not stingy with the satay sauce. The soup was full of satay flavor and goes well with either rice of glass noodle. The Miso seafood pot was also very good and flavorful. I usually don't go for miso because I think its too bland but this soup was so good that I ate the whole soup. The chicken sandwich came in Taiwanese style bread which is more buttery than the traditional American bread. It had a piece of boneless fried chick and eggs. The chicken sandwich was $9.99 but for $3 more you get fries and a tea. Both the black pepper sauce and the 3 cup basil sauce were very good. I think I will try the Plum General Tso's sauce next time. I also had their takoyaki and popcorn chicken and they are both good. Service was very friendly. The staff was friendly and the owner took the time to ask me if there's anything they can improve on. The interior of the restaurant is simply decorated but had a easy going and relax feel. the only thing I wish they can add is more tea options. read more

During our visit, a server came to refill our soup and we politely asked if he could turn the heat up as the fire is running out. He went on to help other tables, and after some time passed, we weren't sure if the request had been missed. We waved to get his attention as a reminder. When he finally came over, instead of responding calmly, he spoke to us in an aggressive and confrontational manner--pointing in our faces and saying, "You guys don't need to tell me multiple times for fire." The reaction felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. What stood out most was the tone and body language. It left us feeling intimidated and wondering whether the interaction would have gone the same way with other customers. Regardless, that is not how anyone should be treated while dining out. Immediately we lost our appetite. The food quality is solid, but the service and lack of professionalism overshadowed the experience. We unexpectedly discovered this hot pot restaurant and tried the Satay beef pot. I must say, it's the most delicious hot pot I've ever had, and the portion size was very generous. The server mentioned that they simmer the broth with bones for at least six hours before using it.
