They have vegan options all the time and sometimes they have gluten free options for even hard to find dishes like orange tofu or tofu and broccoli stir fry that they can make gluten free AND vegan. I've been vegan for several years and I've missed eating Chinese food. So I decided to give this place a try. I was surprised at the lack of taste in the rice and chow mein genuinely shocked at how tasteless it was. I had to add my own seasoning to finish eating it. It's surprising because it's super expensive so I expected it be tastier and more fresh. $22 for a combo plate compared to $10-$13 for a combo plate for non-vegan options in other places is kind of disheartening. I truly hope the prices come down or at least they should have discounts here and there to make people more inclined to order. The best thing I ordered from here was honestly the fries. Customer service is bad. Tried to order a small combo, 1 protein w/ half and half veggies and chow mein. Insisted it needed to be up charged to a combo B for half and half. Fine. I get home and one plate doesn't have the protein ( no orange chicken and paid for it. My first time trying vegan Chinese American food and it won't be my last! The vegan entrees are cooked fresh to order and my orange "chicken" with chow mein noodles was served hot and tasty. Good wok flavor on the noodles and the sauce for the vegan orange chicken wasn't a total sugar bomb. The food is not light or refined fare, but good for filling those fast food cravings. Really bums me out having to leave a poor review since the food is really good, but the customer service is terrible. We like the food so much that we order takeout often and have even ordered catering pans for parties. Tonight, we received the completely wrong items. I called to try and inform them of the error and hopefully have the right food ready by the time my husband drove all the way back with the incorrect order. Sadly I was immediately met with combativeness. No apology or anything. They just demanded the ticket number and then when I called back with it, since my husband was driving back with the receipt and food with the ticket number, then they said she was only speak with him since he placed the order, and that she wasn't going to start the food because she didn't know if the order is *actually* wrong. The way it was handled was just so poor. There are so many ways they could've been more polite or Instead she could have said "I'm so sorry! As soon as he gets here with the ticket and food we will resolve the issue, but unfortunately I can't start it without having the receipt" But no. And then he got there and they were so rude to him as well. I don't how you make it someone else's fault that you gave us the wrong food? LASTLY, when getting the right order, they mixed the vegan food in with the shrimp. When my husband mentioned it, they just said they box it in the order that the order was placed. I ordered the vegan orange chicken combo- it came with fried rice and noodles for sides , carb heaven. The chicken was so good- crispy and saucy. I also ordered a Thai tea with boba- I like that they can make the tea with almond or soy milk. I had them make it regular, but it's nice to have additional options. The cup was so big! This place is a must try for any vegan or non-vegan wanting classic Chinese vegan food. The combo plates are stuffed so full they can hardly close the lid! I can legit make 2 full meals off one order so bring your appetite. We have never had a bad experience here and friends have agreed they can't tell the difference between the vegan orange chicken vs regular. Or you can just get a full container of any entree. It's a big container so the portions are ample. I had the vegan walnut chicken. It was good but overly greasy, in my opinion. I had leftovers and they got very soggy. I also tried the vegan salt and pepper wings which were delicious. Spring rolls were tasty too. They also have a huge menu of drinks (tea, milk tea, lemonade, smoothies, etc). You can choose to add boba. Only some of these can be made vegan, FYI. I can't stress how good this place is. Seriously. I love "dollar" Chinese fast food that you would get at other spots. You know, the ones with the heat lamps and greasy entrees. Pots n' Woks does that but way better! The kicker? They have vegan versions of pretty much everything they offer with meat!! Not only that, but the vegan orange chicken is AMAZING. It's sweet, crunchy, and savory to the point where you wouldn't miss the chicken!! As for the meat options, I HIGHLY recommend the BBQ pork. So tender and juicy with those carmelized edges that are sticky and delicious!! The fried rice could be better, but I'm probably just being picky since I like egg in my fried rice and they need to keep it vegan friendly (yes, the fried rice and chow mein sides are both vegan friendly). The staff are nice and the store is clean. I would recommend being prepared to wait, though, since the lines can get pretty long. I would also recommend not waiting too long to visit during the day, since they do run out of some popular items from time to time. I had Pots N Woks a while ago and was not a fan of their Vegan food options and how unorganized they were at the time. The owner reached out to me and told me to give them another shot. I came back and I ordered their two entrée combo with vegan orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and their chow mein. My sister ordered their non vegan orange chicken, broccoli beef, chow mein, and fried rice. I noticed that their vegan protein looks different. They're bigger. My sister thought that their food was good, but noticed that their rice was not fully cooked. I thought their food was okay and did not appreciate that their chow mein tasted burnt. Not sure why they used different boxes for both their vegan and non vegan boxes because they're already differentiated by stickers. The vegan box did look slightly smaller. I did notice that the people who came in all came to have their vegan options. The next time I come I will try something else to see if I like the other ones. Drink sizes are huge here. I came here twice on different times of the day and I always found parking. This spot is takeout only. Staff work fast here. Food came in and out quickly. read more

FYI I am Chinese but also vegetarian so my expectations are pretty low. I was excited to see a local vegan Chinese restaurant to try out. I ordered the vegan orange chicken combo with steamed rice and chow mein. The steamed rice with the sauce from orange chicken was the only item that was really edible. The orange chicken was rock hard and tasted of old fryer oil despite ordering at the beginning of lunch service. The chow mein was extremely greasy. I was only able to eat a portion of my lunch before getting queasy and throwing most of it away. I am used to paying more for vegan options at restaurants but the quality was below par. I hope this is a one off. I'd like to try other entrees there but I'm scared at this point. read more
