Excellent food but very small for eating in. I suggest taking out and enjoying at home with some vino!

My first post to this site and unfortunately it's not a good review. We went to Dolce Mamma Italian…read morebar and grille. I went there several years ago and liked it so I suggested this restaurant to my brother for our night out. This was a total disappointment. First the waiter was definitely not a seasoned waiter. He must of been their bar tender just filling in until the true wait staff appeared. He did not smile once when talking with us. He was definitely not a welcoming soul. He did the bare minimum to serve us and was not happy to do so. We received our salads in quick time we didn't even eat half our salad when the soup arrived and within 2 minutes our entrees arrived. I did not finish my salad or have a bite of my soup. I packed the soup to go because the entree was sitting right next to me. The salad was fresh. After that it went downhill. I took the soup home so I didn't even taste that. My veal Bella was standard fare. Very little taste. The side of pasta was truly boiled noodles in unsalted water. Maybe a spoon of tasteless sauce on top. My husband got the bolognese which he loves but this dish was poorly made. It was not a true bolognese. It wasn't flavorful and had a strange spice added to it. Again the pasta seemed to be made in salt less water. It seemed more like Shepards pie from Braveheart than an Italian dish. The house wine was $14.58 for a blah house wine. The soup instead of salad was an additional $2.08. Then there was a service fee and 20% tip was automatically added to the bill and the tip was on the bill and the tax We are good tippers when we get great service but Our water definitely did not earn a 20% tip. We never were asked if we wanted another drink and our containers for take home were delivered while we were still eating. I will not be back for sure. So sad.

By far the best restaurant we dined in during our Poconos vacation. Walking in, we quickly realized…read morewe were in a hot spot because the place was busy for a Tuesday night in September. Despite not having a reservation, we were able to be seated. But I do suggest planning ahead and reserving a table. Especially if you visit during high season. Anyhow, the service was excellent. Our server, Sam was extremely attentive. She explained the menu to you and shared some recommendations. We started out with a Caesar salad to share and knew right then that the servings would be ample! The kitchen was kind enough to split the salad for us between two plates and I'd have thought just half was shareable. But lucky us, plenty to indulge. We absolutely LOVED the dressing but found it a slight tad heavy handed. If we make it back, we'd definitely ask for dressing on the side. But nonetheless we appreciated the authentic Caesar dressing complete with anchovy paste. For entrees we had the penne vodka with sausage and shrimp 360. Both plates were big enough to feed an army and made for nice left overs. But make no mistake, both were delicious! Hit it out of the park, delicious! And beautiful al denté pasta. This meal really hit the spot. Even though we were completely stuffed, we managed to find room for homemade pumpkin cheesecake! I don't say this lightly, but it was hands down the best slice of cheesecake I've ever had. We couldn't stop raving about out it! This is a great restaurant to visit when visiting the Poconos. The setting was elegant in an understated way while being incredibly cozy! I think it would be great for larger groups but also intimate enough for couples.

This Resteraunt is in a historic building and you can feel the history as you come in. Unfortunately that's where the good points end. Apart from our waitress who was very nice and cordial the rest of the staff had an arrogance about them and the bartender must not receive a lot of tips as she's cold and unresponsive. The food was mediocre at best the fig pizza was good, the baked artichoke smothered in breadcrumbs and over done. The pasta it self was good but the sauce lackluster and tasteless. The chicken melonazze was dry and rubbery. The chairs at the table were a mish mosh of wood and metal and the Caine chairs were ripping guess that's the colonial vibe.

The ambience was nice, clean and a good date night restaurant. They had roses available for sale for valentine's day. The food looked and smelled amazing. I had an asperol spritzer, bisteka and tiramisu. My boyfriend had the Bud bolognese. He said it was pretty good but it was heavy with onions. My plate had a NY strip steak cooked perfectly med rare , broccoli rabe and fingerling potatoes. The steak had great flavor as for the sides they were ok. They didnt have as much flavor as I had expected. The tiramisu was rich and creamy and the brandy kept me warm on my walk back to the car. I have to say one of the best tiramisu I've ever had. The asperol spritz; this was my first time having one ever, so I have nothing to compare, it was ok. It is supposed to be citrus, rhubarb and prosecco, I expected it to have a sweetness but it had an overpowering bitterness kinda like eating orange rind. Id definitely go back for the tiramisu and a few other things I'd like to try on the menu.
