My son got his braces from Dr Potters through a referral from his BFF and we are so happy we did. It's close to home and appointments are easy to make with little to no wait when we arrive. The office has a nice open floor plan where parents can see their kids if they choose to. The staff is very nice and always so helpful. Dr Potter himself is very nice and helpful. He explains things to you with ease and makes each appointment pleasant.

Even though this location is in a bouji area, it's a very affordable place. You get high quality service, friendly staff, a great office, and you win awesome prizes. It's got a cute ocean-theme and every seat is in front of a large window. Dr.Potter is the most easy to work with. As an adult, I really was hoping I would be able to do white ceramic braces - but I thought I wouldn't be able to afford it. Because my siblings also go here for their treatment, he was able to work with me and and even offered my choice of Invisalign or white braces for the same cost. I chose ceramic because I wanted to also fix my overbite. I was a bit antsy with my braces and wanted them off as soon as possible, and he worked with me at every request. One time, after an appointment, I ate a cheesy snack that turned my fresh bands yellow. I asked if I could come in, even though it was just a few day since I got new bands. As silly as my request was, they made room for me in their busy COVID schedule. They also have a cool, free program called Potter Pennies. For every interaction you have with them, you earn these wooden pennies- either by following them on social media, going to an appointment, wearing your free Dr. Potter shirt (either in red or blue). I gave my pennies to my siblings (because I'm such a great sister) and they earned enough to get free AirPods, which they really really wanted. After a year and three months, my braces have come off and I'm so so happy with the results. They even let me choose what type of retainers I wanted.

Update on my middle son progress on fixing his under bite. It's been a year now. He had expanders put on. Looks like the expanders has widen his upper jaw. Had to come in for an urgent matter and we were able to get an appt either same day or the next day. Love that in the past for my oldest whose had braces here also. We've been able to easily visit the next day for an urgent matter weither it's to fix his lose brackets. Dr. Potter has 2 locations, on Tuesday & Thursday he's located in Fullerton and on Monday & Wednesday he's here in our Yorba Linda office. Dr. Potter removed my sons expanders and since he did have a bit of irritation from the wear of expanders. Gave my son 2 weeks for his gums to heal. Than to return for the next process 3.01.23 We've been happy so far with my middle son process. Waiting room has a Kuerig coffee machine for patients or parents to enjoy a cup of coffee or sometimes there's hot chocolate available. Staff here are all so friendly. I just finished my 8 trays of Invisalign at Potter Orthodontics. I had braces when I was a child and never wore my retainer and my teeth shifted as I went through my teens. I decided to get Invisalign to fix my smile and am very pleased with my results! I would highly recommend Potter Orthodontics for Invisalign needs, it really works!! read more

I initially got Invisalign here & switched over to braces myself because I was being inconsistent with treatment. They didn't want to switch out my rubber bands until a month at a time (I had to request every two-three weeks) and it's because I was on monthly payments so they stretch out treatment to be paid over that course that's why they don't do it sooner. When my braces came off my teeth still weren't what I desired them to look like and when I told the doctor he said it was because it was crowded and I needed an extraction done to get desired results which he didn't mention of at all prior to treatment. read more

What a wonderful experience! We started our 8 year old with phase 1 due to her overcrowding. What a lovely practice! All of the staff were so friendly, Jen was so great with my daughter, and Dr. Potter was so friendly and gentle. He went through the process so well and make sure my daughter and I understood everything. Loved this experience so much! read more

I have an appointment at 3:30, and they let me waited until 3:55, I been wearing my bracelet for a little over 2 years, they promised it'll be off within 1year to 1year and a half, but tehy lied, and after the long wait, the doctor didn't came, only a nurse-that did nothing to by braclet except for change the band color on the bracelet, they didn't examine it, they didn't answer my question, they didn't tell me how long more it is going to be, and I feel like my bracelet isn't adjusted well, this place is a total waste of time and money. read more

We Love Dr. Potter and his staff. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. It made my experience a happy one instead of being in fear of getting braces. I would definitely recommend any of my friends or family members to his office. I go to the one in Yorba Linda which is really wonderful. Dr. Potter runs one most organized and efficient office I've seen. Makes it easier to have my son go to appointments during school hours without having to miss much of school. My son is normally in and out within 30 minutes for most braces adjustments and maintenance. The have high end equipments and their quality of work is superb! Meet the Business Owner: Jeffrey P.

Dr. Potter earned his degree in General Dentistry at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was also inducted into the honorary dental society. OKU. Upon completing dental school he began his orthodontic training and was accepted into the Orthodontic Program at Saint Louis University. While there he completed a three year Orthodontic Residency and also earned a Masters Degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Potter's professional affiliations include the OKU Dental Honor Society. the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the California Association of Orthodontists. the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association. and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Potter is also very involved in the community including local youth sports programs and the local schools, and strives to make it a wonderful place for all to live and work.

Kim kept my son calm through out and Dr. Chung came in to examine and provide suggestions on possible future services. Dr. Chung also showed us the state-of-the-art 3D scanners that maps the entire mouth in color for when we get started. There is plenty of support on-site. Every visit since then has been the same. He is patient, understanding, easy to talk to, and never makes me feel rushed. If I have a question, he answers it. If I have a concern, he listens. What impressed me most is the attention to detail he brings to his work. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. As an engineer, he has an incredible eye for precision, and the technology he uses is far more advanced than anything I experienced previously. The difference in treatment has been night and day. I found Dr. Bakar on Yelp because of the great reviews and detailed photos of patients' results. Even though I drive an hour each way to see him, it has been worth every mile. He shared that he can absolutely help and even better, with Invisalign which I didn't think was possible. He guaranteed a success rate of maybe 50-70% better than it currently is. All of us have had the best experience that was possible when you tell a teenager they will be a "brace-face" for at least two years. People underestimate the importance of having a healthy and straight smile (especially Asians). However, I have to admit that my new smile has opened conversations, made friends, generated business, and even paid off in compliments. You wont believe how many random people have walked up to me and say, "You have such a great smile" and walk away! Just walk away. I think it's because it's a sign that you're happy and healthy which is always important in the business world. A couple of things to highlight: *** Dr. Devian is not only very experienced but also very gentle. He will take the time to explain every procedure and every tool. He's also very funny and remembers even the smallest detail of your personal life that you share with him. *** The staff have been loyal to him for a long time. They are extremely friendly and talk to your family. *** They have a "Smile wall" in which they display photos of the end result: a perfect smile. I remember looking at that wall every time I had to go and thought, "I will be there soon." It was very motivating. *** Dr. Devian's office is also one of the few that will put in a semi-permanent retainer for your lower teeth and continually fix a nice retainer for your uppers. It has been at least 6 years since I've been back and he still made me a nice one! *** Dr. Devian always has a personal consultation with you and the family when you initially discuss having braces. He set aside special appointments that are after office hours to meet with you and your family. *** The office is EXTREMELY clean and hygienic. Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

And I had to go to another doctor for an incredibly painful procedure, all for nothing. I did not have HPV. 4. In my opinion Kurtz now has a God complex, he didn't used to. ***5. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME, AFTER I LEFT MY URINE SAMPLE....UNLESS I PAID WHAT FEELS LIKE A $50 EXTORTION FEE, in order to give me my prescription. When the doctor says they don't hold back care because of an unpaid balance, that is entirely incorrect, and I believe he's lying. His behavior is reprehensible, and he is fully aware of this. I came in specifically because I was feeling unwell and suspected a blood sugar issue--especially since lab work from a different clinic the prior week showed a fasting glucose level high enough to indicate diabetes. Despite explaining this, the Physician Assistant (PA) dismissed my concerns, told me I "didn't fit the profile" for diabetes, and ordered a thyroid panel instead. Three days later, the support staff called to tell me they lost my blood sample and needed me to come back in. When I expressed frustration that they lost my sample for a test I didn't even ask for--while still refusing to run the metabolic panel I actually needed--the staff member literally hung up on me. I only returned the next day because it is within walking distance of my house and I was having the same feeling again, wanting to get to the bottom of what was happening. While the PA on duty that day was attentive, she ended up sending me to the ER for my blood pressure. After waiting four hours at the hospital, the ER doctor confirmed it wasn't an emergency at all. To top it all off, I received another call from the urgent care informing me that they did eventually run a metabolic panel, and my A1C and fasting glucose levels are, in fact, indicative of diabetes. Between the PA completely dismissing a patient's concerns, the staff losing blood samples, and being hung up on, the lack of professionalism and competence here is alarming. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Potter and his staff are wonderful - I cannot recommend them enough. The process begins with a consultation that includes x-rays, photographs, and the financial details. All this is done by Jeri who is just the best at what she does. When your first encounter with a business is with a compassionate, friendly, wonderful employee who, you can tell, genuinely cares about your children and you, there is no question that the company cares about customer service. Jeri is all of those things! My oldest daughter, age 14, has had braces for about a year and I can see such a difference in her teeth and mouth. Because I was so happy with how her teeth looked, I knew I wanted Dr. Potter to do the same with my youngest daughter, age 9. When she went in for her consultation, I was a bit nervous because she has always been very fearful of new things. Jeri instantly put her at ease by consoling her and letting her know exactly what she was going to do and how she was going to do it (photographs and x-rays). It was determined that she needed to get an expander before braces. Dr Potter explained the process in detail and did not rush through it at all. Sensing her unease, he actually did the first step, of putting spacers between the back teeth, himself. His calm demeanor and sensitivity to her fear was so reassuring. With every visit, patients can earn Potter's Pennies and earn very cool rewards, even an ipad if they get enough. It's great incentive to take care of their teeth and come to every checkup. We have two children under the care of Dr Potter's office (one out of braces and one being prepped now for braces). It is hard to believe our oldest has been out of braces now for 2 years & the process was truly seamless! His appointments and course of treatment were always met with caring professionalism. Appointments and appointment changes were easy to make and full of grace when life happened and we had to change last minute (or forgot due to an unexpectedly hectic day). Mr. Potter and his office and staff are wonderful. Mr. potter's space is homey, bright, and cheery. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a comfortable sitting/waiting area. I would highly recommend Mr. Potter to anyone looking for a thoughtful, caring, and skilled Orthodontist. I love the incentive he has for his patients to save up the wooden Potter Pennies that they receive every visit, which can be turned in for a variety of different prizes. The amount of Potter Pennies that you receive can vary.... you always get them for being there, but if you bring in your report card or awards you received at school, those count as well. Our first daughter began with Dr. Potter about 8 years ago and has a beautiful smile now. Our second daughter has had a difficult case, but Dr. Potter has always had patience with explaining everything every step of the way. Just recently was asked if there is anything special we need to have braces off by, SENIOR PICTURES this summer. Goal is set! Next our son is in the process of getting started. My daughter Sarah just got her braces off from Dr. Potter and she had a great experience from start to finish. We were really impressed with the staff who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We love Dr. Potter who is great with kids and parents too. They had a great reward program that my daughter loved and we loved her straight teeth when she was done. My oldest daughter just recently had her braces put on. Dr. Potter and his front office staff along with their finance lady (sorry, can't remember her name) have all been so welcoming, informative and kind. The only thing I would say is a bit of a bummer is that one of his assistants that puts the braces on and make adjustments on the braces that isn't very friendly. My daughter has mentioned this for both of her treatments, that the lady that put her braces on and has done her adjustments doesn't smile, or talk much and was a bit rough at her last visit. Unfortunately, I was back in the room where the treatments are done and saw this as well. Dr. Potter has been good to my kids. I have a daughter almost done with braces and a son in between an expander and braces. Dr. Potter and his staff are polite, fun to be around and take the needed time to answer any questions I have. Moreover I never feel excluded from participating in the appointments. If you can imagine, I have two younger daughters eager to get started. Equally important is the ability to make appointments. They have always been flexible if I needed to reschedule and in the couple of instances where I have missed an appointment they have never charged me a missed appointment fee. Their hours of availability cater to kids and school. Note they are busy and for certain types of appointments you may have to book 4 to 6 weeks out. read more

Dr potter is very professional and very nice to help. My two daughters 11 years old and 9 years old have braces helped by Dr potter. The elder one , there was one canine teeth inside which is the wrong direction beside nose. I have been visited other dentist. They advise us to pull it out. That's the easiest way for dentist. but not the best way for patient. That's the strongest teeth in our mouth. Finally we are lucky to get help from Dr potter. He helped us keep that teeth. Now this canine teeth comes out very strong and very pretty. It will be straight by brace in next few months. Now I am also work brace with Dr Potter Also the price is very reasonable. Dr. Potter and his staff are absolutely incredible. They all treat me with so much kindness. They are professional, and still clearly care about their patients and the what they do. Every time Dr. Potter sits down with me, he explains exactly what is happening with my teeth, and makes the necessary adjustments to get them where he wants them to be...which is perfect. I love this place. I drive all the way from Long Beach just to get the work done by Dr. Potter, and I'll tell you it's well the worth the 40 plus minute drive. We have been going here for quite a long time, since 2008. My daughter was born with a soft cleft palate and not just any dentist/orthodontist would take her but Dr. Potter is a specialist with these kind of cases. Our plastic surgeon thought she would need surgery eventually to fix her underbite and jaw however, Dr. Potter was very hopeful he could take care of everything. I wasn't so sure but now I am amazed at the great job he has done. There were several phases she had to go through but she is towards the end. Went in for a consultation and realized that there was no need to continue to shop around. Jerry was very informative about what to expect and she had such a sweet demeanor with my sons. Dr. Potter's bedside manner is impeccable! He is very polite and I loved the fact that he made my son feel very important! Absolutely love Dr. Potter and his staff! The girls are always so sweet to my son! He had a lot of fear coming into Dr. Potters office (he was 8 when we started) and the staff always made him feel safe. I love how the kids just walk straight back into the chairs and sign in themselves. Checkups are never long, maybe 20 mins. Easy to get the same appointment for the next check up. Dr. Potter is an excellent orthodontist. He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable about orthodontia and go over all of their procedures with you. They also are very kind and always show a genuine interest in your life. In other words you aren't just a dollar sign to them. Both of my children have gone to Dr. Potter for braces. Throughout their staff has been friendly, welcoming, calming, and really take the time to explain to a parent and children who are new to the office the procedure of getting braces. My daughter just started her treatment with Dr. Potter. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They sat down with us before we started the treatment and explained everything that was going to happen and all of the fees associated with the braces. Dr. Potter himself is very engaging with his patients, asking them how school is going, etc. He does have 2 offices but it's the same staff in both offices. After being a patient at Potter Orthodontics, my teeth have come a long way. Five years ago, my teeth were so crooked. One tooth was completely buck, and the one next to it was facing the opposite direction. Couldn't be happier that our regular dentist recommended Dr. Potter. We had our son's first stage of braces handled by Dr. Potter several years ago thus saving him from any chance of needing headgear or other expensive treatment. Now that all of his adult teeth are in, it's was an easy choice to return to Dr. Potter. My son has always felt comfortable with their elite, attentive staff.
