I've been here once after realizing it was down the street. My coworker got the pozole which was in a clear broth not red. She said it was just ok but LOVED the cafe de olla. I got the enfrijoladas Choriceras and the chilaquiles with chicken. The place is tiny by the way with only about 2-3 tables inside and then about 5 outside on the patio. The enfrijoladas were really good and nicely portioned. Ok so the chilaquiles were fine, good but when I asked to add chicken you would think it would be shredded since they're like nachos. Nope, I got 3 big slices of chicken breast thrown on top lol. This made it complicated to share so my coworkers just grabbed the chips. I ended up cutting up the chicken but it was kinda dry so wouldn't get that again unless they can shred it. The server was really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately due to lack of management service is lacking. Food is good and waiters work hard but there's no management. When we arrived half of the tables were empty but we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. There was no communication and no one came outside in the 90 degrees heat to give us some idea of what to expect and what's going on inside. I was really craving Mexican, and all the restaurants we attempted to eat at were closed for holidays. So we ended up here. The parking lot is a mess! There are so few spots and the spots are tiny! We managed to find parking and went in. Our waitress did not speak English, but we managed. If we had had any questions or special requests, that may have been difficult. I had the Chilaquiles rojos - my plate was not very colorful, but it was solid. It did feel like it was missing something though. T had one of the breakfast items. The food came with fruit and choice of tea or coffee. Overall, I thought it was quite pricey. Such a great hole in the wall spot! The place is very welcoming with friendly staff. We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and we were seated right away. They have a cute outside area with a few tables. The menu itself has different options for everyone's liking. It's all Mexican food of course! I ordered the enfrijoladas with chicken inside topped with chorizo,cheese and crema. They're basically like enchiladas but instead of being topped with sauce, they're topped with beans. Those were a 10/10 with a homemade taste. I'll be returning so I can try some breakfast items but if you're looking for a cute little place with Mexican homemade style food then this it! read more

I was there Saturday around 11 am and only 2 servers we working the whole patio and dinning room area. The restaurant is already small as it is so you would think management would schedule a few more servers so they can get the customers in and out that way tables would be available sooner. They only thing that keeps me going back is the delicious pozole . I also recommend that they relocate to a bigger location they have so many customers that love this place but once you see the line of people and the long wait times it discourages them from going or waiting. Just fyi that information I received are from some customers I was talking to while I waited almost 47 mins on Saturday for a table for one! read more

No hours posted, nothing, plus the employees dim the lights further when they see us. Yes!! Finally found delicious chilaquiles!! And a Mexican brunch place which I thought did not exist!!! I am so happy I finally got to dine here for Sunday brunch and I will definitely be coming back!! First of all the restaurant does not have a sign so it was kind of confusing to find the place but as soon as we got there we noticed how busy it was and thought this must be the place. There was only a 20 minute wait for a party of 5 so that was not too bad since the place is kind of small with limited seating. Once seated, we glanced over their menu and I was happy to see that they serve breakfast all day! Yay! I have been craving chilaquiles especially with egg on top because that's how my mom makes them and to my surprise I could choose egg or chicken or basically whatever I desired so I was so excited. I believe they are famous for their pozole so of course we had to try some. We also ordered a side of taquitos to share and chicken enchiladas. For drinks, we ordered aguas frescas (horchata, Sandia) and the waiter was nice enough to show us the difference between a small and large drink. The large drink was the size of a pitcher!!! When the food came out it looked amazing!! The presentation was very nice. Usually at your typical Mexican restaurants, the plate is just a blob of food covered with cheese but not here! Every dish looked perfect! And it tasted perfect!! Yum yum!! Everything was super delicious and the side of nopales were some of the best I have ever had!! The food was not greasy at all, the chilaquiles had the perfect crunch to sauce ratio that I enjoyed from start to finish and the egg was the perfect touch!! I had a bite of everyone else's food and it all was very good. Now I know why there was a crowd of people standing outside the door when we got here!!! This is a nice little spot. The plates are big, the food is good, and the coffee is AMAZING!

Probably the best chilaquiles in town. The service is friendly and fast. The plate comes with the tortilla chip beans and red or green salsa and choice of Meat or eggs. Authentic Mexican food, and the chilaquiles are the absolute best. Red sauce is just like my family makes it. The coffee de olla is perfectly sweet and enfused with cinnamon. So far all the dishes I have had are all super yumo! It is a small place but they do have a small patio. Just read everyones reviews it is excellent food. The tostadas are refreshing with layers of tomatoes and earth butter as known as Avocados. We also have found most of the enchiladas enjoyable. All dishes are massive servings. The pozole is more of the "El D.F." style and not Michoacan. So if your from other regions of Mexico be forwarned. The pozole is garnished with lettuce and not cabbage. I'm more of a cabbage girl with my red pozole but it is good. Customer service is a hidden mist, it is on the very slow side but in a spoof day it can be fast transaction. It depends who's in for that shift. In my humble opinion they do not do well with big groups or on peak times. Off times its actually empty. I usually come in alone and I've seen big parties suffer as I'm shoving my face with good food. The actual restaurant is not cozy and the chairs are hard as a rock. The display of the restaurant is wrong but I do enjoy the part that I can see inside the kitchen. Very clean kitchen. Another plus the dishes are not drowning in oil or lard. So that's always a plus. My husband and I ordered to go this past Wednesday October 21. The menu looked pretty good so we ordered 2 Pozole and two enchiladas. Aside from the fact that the food was barely palatable , we've both been sick to our stomach since we ate their food. The reason for my review is that I checked the cc charge and these thieves added to my tip. I took a screen shot of the receipt after I signed it. I gave them a generous tip where none is required and the thieves increased the amount once I turned in the signed receipt. I called the number listed on the receipt and it doesn't connect to this restaurant. Laura G was the server. Unless you enjoy being sick from eating ill prepared food ( probably didn't wash their hands...in a pandemic!) and getting simultaneously ripped off stay away from doing business with this place. Wanted to try this place out since I live near. I just called tonight (7/31/2020 about 7:35pm to place a take out order. The lady said one moment, then put me on 'hold'... all the while I can hear laughing and talking in the background. She never came back to take my order or let me know it would be another minute etc. After a little over 5 minutes of background talking I got tired of waiting. Starting with the coffee it was so good no sugar needed flavorful and you can really taste the authenticity. The served bolillos with butter and jam such a good pair with the coffee. I got the tradicional Which is chilaquiles with red sauce and comes with beans and I decided to top it off with scrambled eggs. The beans are perfect very good perfectly seasoned. The red sauce is good not spicy and it has a well balanced flavor of tomato,chile and what other ingredients they use. I would definitely drive all the way over here just to try all the variety of traditional Mexican food they have that it's not seen in any other so called Mexican restaurants they have in the Los Angeles area. read more

If this Rating was just about the food I would definitely give it a 5/5 stars( I got the 3 marias )but unfortunately the service is so bad. I went here during COVID times and service was amazing. Wait was about 15 min even when they were super busy, our waitress was attentive. I went back this weekend with my family and it took about 1.5 hours to be seated. When finally being sat down, we ordered our drinks. It took almost another 20 minutes for drinks to come out. Our waitress had an attitude problem when asking for napkins. Then took even longer to come back and take our order. Our drinks where never refilled, we were never asked if we needed anything and it took forever to get our food. Again we kept getting hit with the waitress attitude when asking for anything. Not only that we had to chase her down to ask for drinks, the bill, to go boxes. This place is delicious, great choice for brunch. Beautiful outdoor patio where you can eat and enjoy the sunshine. It's covered in a plastic tarp, which is ideal for weather changes. The food is great, authentic, and the whole staff speaks to you in Spanish, making you feel like you're actually in Mexico. A few notes, I was a bit disappointed that they didn't carry rice, since I think that is such a huge staple food in the Hispanic culture. Adding to that, service slowed down towards the end, it took forever to get the check, which should have been a priority considering there were many people waiting to be seated. read more
