Went in for lunch & a couple of beers. Had the ceviche tostada. Everything was fine until I bit down on this copper staple that was in my food. I showed it to the waitress and she initially told me that she would comp me the ceviche but when she came back with the bill, she said the manager was only willing to offer me more ceviche at no additional charge. WHAT??? Why would I want more after almost cracking my tooth or swallowing a large staple??? They wouldn't budge. I know it's not the waitress's fault but I couldn't pay the full amount AND tip her. I paid the bill and left zero tip. Worst manager ever! I hope he feels guilty and pays the waitress. I can't recommend this restaurant after that experience. Service was 10/10 we were helped by a colombian girl and she was the sweetest! Food was 6/10 . We ordered aguachiles, tostada de camaron and camarones a la diabla. The aguafresca de tamarindo was a 1/10 I would definitely not recommend that one at all! Just stick to a regular soda. The plating was what blew my mind I have attached pictures so u can see what I mean. Not only is it dangerous to give a customer a broken dish but also very ugly to look at while eating ur food. Almost makes u wonder if there is chipped glass on ur food so I ate my food cautiously. Leaving this place a 5 star because the owner/manager made sure we were taken care of in a timely manner without us saying anything. It goes to show that he's attentive and cares about his business. The few times we have been here is a good experience this location is more family oriented then the other locations but all in all- all the locations are great just depends what mood you're in. Shame on this place ! I order the empanadas de camarón, but unfortunately, they were served to me burnt. I informed the server about the issue and asked if they could prepare a fresh order. After a few minutes, the server brought the plate back, but to my dismay, they were the exact same empanadas de camarón I had returned earlier, and this time they were cold! Cold fresh, and delicious, and I think I'll order this for my meal next time. The last dish is fresh raw shrimp. Delicate soft and sweet little morsels of the sea accompanied with avocado, cucumber, and freshness- Michelin Star for this dish- OMG! For the main meal, most of us had the Mojarra Al Mojo De Ajo. Customer service was bad Went on a Saturday morning took about 10 mins to get drinks . my carne asada plate was horrible , rice was old,dry & hard, my carne asada tasted like fish . Flagged down the waitress and told her and she took the plate and walked away. Got up and got a menu and told her i wanted to change the order and she gave me attitude and told me to sit down and take a look at the menu.. as i walked to my table she followed me and right when i sat down she asked what i wanted. Went here because the Corona location is closed. So figured this was the same just a different location boy was I wrong. Soon as I walked in I thought it was closed half the tables had chairs up and only a little section had lights on. The lady say we can sit anywhere even though that was only about 3 tables available that didn't have chairs on or were not occupied by another person. Just two of us so we get a table sit order water and look at the menu. About 15 minutes in we have to flag the girl down to get our order in. Mind you it is 1:30pm and there is a table next to us and behind us. Both table and two guys and even 3 minutes she was coming to check on them but ignored us. We order and get our drinks. Food was pretty fast but...crab was so over cooked it was so dry! Shrimp was small salad shrimp and I swear it was two whole onions in the molcajete. The beer was more like a Bloody Mary so much tajin my heart hurt that I didn't even finish it. It wasn't until I left to use the restroom they came to ask my boyfriend if he needed anything. Then the girl was at the table behind us telling the guy she loves chocolate and sweet things and just laughed so hard flirting which I understand get your tips anyway you can but still don't forget your other tables. After are food was done and we sat there for 20 minutes my boyfriend asked for the check all this for $130 we never spend this in Corona even after shots. After handing the $200 to the girl we sat and waited after another ten minutes we got us and went to the front and the girl came in the front from the kitchen and was like oh let me check your money and ran in and said to be safe.
