Pour Favor has been on my radar for a while now to try. I mean, a coffee shop is enough to bring me to visit but one with tasting flights?! Say no more, I'm in. Shut up and take my money! Two weeks ago I got up early on a quarantine Saturday to drive over and get a flight and whatever else struck my fancy. The inside of the cafe was super cute and, while cleared of seating during the pandemic, I could see coming and enjoying a sandwich and coffee or muffins and hanging out for a while. I chose the April flight which consisted of an iced chai, a vanilla almond latte, a lavender white mocha and strawberry coco loco (cold brew). I also decided to get a monthly special of the Samoa latte which was shown on instagram with a Samoa girl scout cookie and whipped icing. My friend got a coffee cake though I was secretly disappointed he chose not to try one of their fresh, large cinnamon buns, next time I'm going to get one of those and a chocolate muffin myself to try. The flight was good, but I was underwhelmed by the chai and the cold brew, loved the lattes. My samoa special drink didn't have whipped cream or a cookie garnish, the gal working said they were out of them, I just wish she had told me before making it because I was disappointed it didn't look at all like the photos I'd seen that had me so excited. I also ordered an avocado toast with added tomato and bacon and it was really really good. Large serving and came with chips. It was a ton of bread and a generous amount of avocado and the drizzle of chipotle aioli and cotija cheese on top are soooo good! This was a win. I saw tons of delicious things inside the case to try, I think there was a tiramisu cake, a pistachio cake, and a bunch of other goodies. All enough to make my mouth water. The two workers were doing their best with ordering inside and to go pick-up orders and were very sweet. This was overall a win, I'll just stick to the lattes because that's what I like! They also have some sandwiches I wanted to try. I can't wait to come back and give them a try when I can sit and really enjoy the whole experience. read more

I have had Pourfavor bookmarked for a long time. We planned our Saturday around taking a trip here. They have great decor, the inside is beautiful and outdoor seating is a plus. This started as a five star experience and unfortunately quickly went down hill. I was most excited to try their seasonal coffee flight. You order at the counter and they bring you food and beverages to you. We sat outside, it was beautiful outside this morning. We ordered the coffee flight, a black coffee, Cuban Bagel, Breakfast Burrito, Belgian Waffle and a chocolate muffin. We waited for quite awhile for our food. My husband went inside and asked about our food and drinks after we waited 15-20 minutes. Our food came out before our drinks which was odd to me. They brought out the Cuban Bagel and the breakfast burrito first. A little while later they brought my husband's black coffee out. And last they brought out my son's chocolate muffin, which should have been the first thing we received since it required zero prep. I asked about my seasonal flight and the young lady said that was not on my order. I said I definitely ordered the seasonal flight, it was the main item I came to try. The server wanted me to prove it with a receipt, but when I made the order on the iPad I selected "no receipt" because I never imagined a situation at a coffee shop where I would need to have proof of my order, all I know is that my total for those items and a tip cost $38.26. Lesson learned alway get a copy of your receipt. She said she would need to go through all their transactions again to see if I actually paid for the seasonal flight....I said it's okay, I'll just go in and purchase a flight (assuming for some reason they did not charge me for it). I followed the server inside and was in line behind six people which was not moving at all. As I'm standing in line, I thought why am I going to give this business more money to give me bad service after it took them 15-20 minutes to give my husband his black coffee?? They didn't even give me the option to skip this line and order the flight. I went back to my table and waited for my kids to finish their breakfast. Okay, let's talk about the food. I promise I'm not being bitter because their service was below average. My daughter's waffle was as dry as the Sahara desert, it was so dry it just crumbled when you went to cut a piece. They only gave me a fork with the Belgian waffle, I had to ask for a knife. My son liked his chocolate muffin, he ate it all. My husband had the breakfast burrito, which came with the cheap small circle tortillas. The tortillas felt out of place on this dish, just like a filler with basic salsa. The breakfast burrito was not bad, but very bland, wouldn't order it again. My Cuban Bagel, the bread was good, all the flavors of it was basic and bland. It came with some regular chips (maybe lays original?). All of their food was underwhelming. The best part of this restaurant was their decor. The service and the food is not worth returning. I wish I had the opportunity to tell you about their coffee, their coffee is the reason I came in. Very big let down for me and it felt like a waste of $38. Hopefully this was just an off day for them and they are normally as good as the other reviews out there and they can figure out what went wrong today. Y'all, I have always wanted to sit down in a coffee shop, order some coffee, and have it brought out to me with a little design in it. We order and find a nice quiet section of the shop in the back that has a huge chalkboard wall, a dry erase board, and a little block toy for kids. It also has a sliding door which looks like it could be used for meetings. Demetrius came and delivered our flight and our pastries. He was friendly, patient and knowledgeable about the products. I wasn't sure what the quesito was exactly, just that everyone says you have to get one. He gladly told me what it was, where it originated, and that it was made with love lol. Let me tell you, the quesito was ahhhmazing. I originally broke it in half to share with my husband, but after I finished my half I kept asking him if he was sure he wanted his half (he did *sad face*). The cinnamon roll was okay but I'm not a fan of cinnamon rolls to start with, although they did warm it up and my husband really enjoyed it. The flight was a really fun way to sample a few different drinks. We had a cold brew, I didn't care for it, but my husband downed it. Next was a mocha, which I actually liked, it was pleasant and not overly bitter. There was also a caramel macchiato which was my favorite. It was rich, smooth, and just sweet enough. And our last was an Irish cream. My husband and I kept trying to find the Irish cream, even a little hint but we couldn't. Demetrius came over and asked how everything was, if we enjoyed the flight, and what could be improved. We tell him our favorites, what we enjoyed and what we didn't. We told him we didn't taste any Irish cream but it wasn't bad. He says he'll remake it an brings us back a new one. I could actually taste the Irish cream the second go around and my husband was extremely happy they redid it because he said that ended up being his favorite. The customer service here was spot on and we plan to return to try some of their night coffees. read more

Honestly. I'd rather sit in the drive thru line at Starbucks. My wife & I walk in. Take a menu and sit just to glance over it. When we walk up to the counter, neither of the people working acknowledge us or even a simple "hey we'll be with you in a second" they stand there and just have a whole conversation for 2 minutes. I grab my purse and we leave. Let me just say, this place has a bunch of "inclusivity" stuff hanging up, and they are NOT. Especially when a woman & her husband walk up to the counter right after us and they immediately asked them if they were ready. I'd give less than 0 stars if I could :) read more

Had the most amazing coffee here! As part of the Coastal Coffee Trail, I decided to start here with some friends and no regrets! I had never tried a coffee flight, but saw a post online and started hunting one down. Easily, I found Pourfavor and i can say I will definitely be back because everything was so delicious! The coffee flight was so fun and huge bonus for being so tasty! The coolest part? House's of Harry Potter! I'm a huge fan and this made my day. When we walked in my 3 year old granddaughter was in toddler heaven and myself and daughter loved all the games. The staff was so friendly and sweet. Love the the look of the coffee shop and how it's a very fun environment not just for adults but kids as well. Pourfavor is a cute spot, and I love that they create an affirming environment with their rainbow flags and posted pronouns. Their coffee and baked good, however, are just not great. Their coffee tastes burned and for $5.00 for a small iced coffee, the price just does not match the quality. I'm surprised this is listed as an inexpensive coffee shop. Their breakfast sandwiches are flavorless and not super fresh, and cinnamon buns are soo dry. I left paying over $11 for a small iced coffee with a syrup (couldn't taste it at all) and a very small baked good. That is so expensive for a coffee that went straight into the trash. It's a shame because I live across the street and would be here all the time if the quality was better. Skip this place and just go to 17 Hands, which is so much better. read more

I actually wasn't a huge fan of the coffee, but that's just personal preference, it was definitely quality brew. The atmosphere here is really great, it's a perfect cozy coffee shop with chess and couches and all the necessary additions. The service was great, and we did really enjoy the coffee flights. I came here with with 17 year old son, so we each got a full flight, which was way too much coffee, but we saved it for later. Definitely recommend checking out this local gem. read more

A very cute coffee shop. Clean inside, kind of hip. I really really like their coffee. It's just so good. They have coffee flights, which is a good way to try various flavors. I usually get hazelnut macchiato with almond milk with a slice of red velvet cake and a quesito. Their red velvet cake is so moist, delicious and not too sweet. QUESITO, a different conversation. Warm, flaky, caramel drizzle!! Need I say more? Their prices are reasonable, about the same as Starbucks if not slightly cheaper. The staff are usually always nice and helpful. Cute little coffee joint. Super close to my home so I am not sure why it has taken me so long to visit this place. Staff are friendly and brought us out coffees. There's seating inside and in the back. I got the butter beer latte iced and it was tasty. They also serve food, but I haven't tried the food yet. Months ago, one of the local television stations in Hampton Roads profiled this little spot on a morning segments where their coffee flight is the main attraction. Also, Yelp reviews are mainly positive. So what does a foodie like myself do? Try it out. And what a delight it was. Pourfavor is a little place located in Virginia Beach with another location in Suffolk. There isn't a lot of seating which is typical for small coffee shops. Luckily, there's a private spot where my girlfriend and myself were with 3 friends of our social group. And if you have kids, they have toys to play with as well along with snacks for dogs. The décor.....absolutely beautiful. Check out the pictures and you'll see what I'm talking about. My choice of coffee was the bonfire flight which consisted of Gingerbread Latte, S'mores Mocha, Hazelnut Macchiato, and Pumpkin Cold Brew. Talk about absolute greatness. All four were hands down made perfectly and not overly sweet. If I had a choice of which one was the best, it's a tie between S'mores Mocha and Pumpkin Cold Brew. A wise choice for the fall season. To compliment the coffee flight, I chose to eat the Cuban Bagel which was egg whites, bacon and mixture of cheddar and mozzarella with a side of potato chips. It was good, but not great. I would've preferred more bacon to go with mine. But it won't take away from my rating. Overall, a wonderful experience with great coffee, décor and service from the staff. The owner of this place is Puerto Rican and this is where the love comes from. It reminds me of the coffee shop when I was in Brazil. You get the authenticity and friendliness and in their service. They are so nice and come in check on u once in a while. They make sure we are well taken care of. I feel at home he This place is perfect and near my house. I occasionally come by once in a blue moon to study because they have very little traffic here which makes it convenient for me to get my work done. I love the coffee here and now they started something new here with their coffee flights! This is nice for us grown folk who need a little kick to our coffee. They also offer Irish-bailey coffee, espresso martinis, grand coffee and craft beers! This is a something I haven't tried yet but a must on my list. The menu has also expanded with waffles, bagels, other pastries and breakfast burritos. They have a Puerto Rican pastry called "quesitos" which is has sweet cream and cheese with powdered sugar! Heard about this place from my friend and what intrigued me was that they had a coffee flight. Which I didn't know that was a thing. Came in the morning and ordered the coffee flight. I really like that barista also helped me out on each selection of the drinks. I also ordered their cuban bagel to snack on while I tried out the coffee. The cuban bagel was good, but not great. The coffee flight: Cookie butter, Dark white, Irish Cream Macchiato, and lastly marshmallow cold brew. I'm not much of a cold brew gal, but I really enjoyed the marshmallow cold brew. They were all very good and I spent a good hour or so there trying out the coffee. Love the ambience of the place. Small, but cozy and friendly. Their bathroom was also very clean. We have been here 3 times and will definitely continue to keep coming back! The most recent time, we finally tried the coffee flight and were far from disappointed. We opted for the first-class flight (iced). We knew we wanted two of the seasonal drinks- Christmas in July and Mochanut- but we had the barista surprise us for the remaining 4 drinks. The first-class flight was more than enough for both of us to share and enjoy! Food-wise, the quesitos are always amazing. The cuban bagel was very eggy but we loved it. The seating in the back area of the shop is our favorite place to work/study as it is quieter and more secluded than the front-of-house area. I came here to this coffee shop a few weeks ago for the first time to catch up with a friend. What really intrigued me was a dessert they had called a quesito which was their version of a sweet croissant. I arrived about 30 minutes after their opening (10AM) and asked if they had said quesito and they told me they ran out... I am not sure how they ran out so quickly, I should have asked. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I settled on their enormous cinnamon bun which I requested it to be warmed up. This thing was almost seven freaking dollars!!! This is insanely high. The cinnamon roll was tasty and fluffy but nothing about it was extraordinary to warrant that high price. This place also serves sandwiches, coffee, and spiked coffee! I would come here if I had to study or work to do. I actually didn't get any coffee but I saw a few tables around me got the coffee flights (again, so pricey!) which looked good and I may have to get that next time if I come back with a coffee connoisseur. The service was fine and when you're finished with your dishes you bring it back to the trash can area which has a tub for dirty dishes. This is an awesome little coffee shop, with extremely accommodating baristas. I've been here numerous times and I've like everything I've ever had there. Lattes, cappuccinos, frappuccinos and baked items. My favorites include the white chocolate & raspberry the Samoa (that are seasonal) and the Toasted Marshmallow. The Samoa frappuccinos are addictive! The flights provide you with an opportunity to taste four different types of lattes. Cool concept! This place is super busy every time I've been there, so come with lots of patience and kindness...and don't forget your mask. Masks are mandatory during this pandemic. No masks, no service. There were only 2 girls working here with a lengthy line of people on a Sunday morning, and even though they were working hard, that meant waiting close to 45 minutes for 2 coffees. I love Pour Favor - however, if you are expecting to get your coffee within 5 minutes of ordering, I would have to recommend another spot. I wish Pour Favor was open again, only because I believe they were or had a slower-ish paced audience. They are the local coffee shop to the a local university in the area, so students are usually coming down to get their coffee fix, and to study. I usually come here on my day's off when I have work to catch up on, but during COVID, I of course am at home. I've tried to keep my loyalty to local coffee shops, and I wish I had the time to support PourFavor, it's just that the orders are made with extra love and thought, it just takes a little longer to make than expected. I still love the coffee, the welcoming atmosphere, and hipster staff members. Patiently waiting for the pandemic to be over, so I can enjoy a cup of coffee here on a Saturday morning, where I would have the time to sit around the shop and wait. Maybe on a warmer day you all will catch me on their back porch. Where it's strung with lights, and has lots of different neutral colors for good photo opportunities! read more

They offered quesitos and guava pastries we could only find in Florida. Love the restaurant itself as it offered inside and outside seating plus kid friendly games (go fish, sorry, cards and more). Mid coffee and burrito. - not worth price Coffee is pretty average - breakfast burrito is also average Maybe with the right combo, the coffee would be better but the white chocolate iced latte was a 6/10. The burrito bacon tastes like that hotel free breakfast bacon- the kind that is precooked. Also the guava pastry was similar in taste to a toaster strudel. The flakiness was nice but I felt it was missing moistness and was not worth the $5 I paid for it. The ambiance is nice but a little too progressive for me. Ghandi is on the wall, and pretty sure he forced children to sleep with him. I like supporting small businesses instead of large money hungry corporations, but my pocket felt the consequences this time. read more

Pourfavor is a small coffee shop with an extensive beverage list and some good eats. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, so you have your choice of where to comfortably plant yourself. The atmosphere is great for plugging in and getting some homework/workwork done. If you like coffee, this is your spot. They have a range of coffees, milks, and flavors not only to get the taste you need, but allow you to try different combinations of the above. I am more of a tea drinker, and although their tea is very limited, they do have choices between black and green, lighter and darker teas. The food selection is hand held and easy for on-the-go. I find for the food quality and portions, however, it is a tad bit pricey. Pourfavor constantly offers specials or seasonal items, keeping their menu exciting and feeding customers with the constant need to visit. On that note, you should follow their social media for updates on new items. As I've said this is a good work and study spot, it is also a good social location. So alone, with friends, for a light snack or quick meal, all with a beverage come take a look. read more

My first time here, heard a lot of good reviews from friends. The staff was nice. Coffee was fine, nothing too special about it given the price but that's how it is in today's economy. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, which took over 30 minutes to come out docking some stars off the review. I don't appreciate waiting that long since i have places to be! Especially since the cafe didn't seem too busy. But I must say it did taste really good. Overpriced for a Cuban but a good Cuban. My boyfriend visited the Virginia Beach location and ordered an iced almond milk latte and specifically asked for no sweeteners. What he was given was extremely sweet and undrinkable as I have strict sugar limits. Unsure if they mistakenly added sweetener or if the almond milk was just sweet and he wasn't told, I messaged the shop on Instagram. They kindly responded with apology, gave me the run down on which milk alternative would be a better option, and offered my next drink on the house. Unfortunately, strike #2 when I tried again ... I came in with a friend and showed the conversation to the man taking orders. I was told I couldn't use the redemption because there was no manager on duty, while the woman making drinks rolled her eyes at the request. I'm happy to say the drink I ordered - and paid for - with oat milk was much better, but the customer service received after there's clearly already been an issue was disappointing. After sitting for a few minutes it was clear there probably should be a manager on duty - a ton of confusion in the shop and many irritated guests reporting waiting 30+ minutes for drinks. The customer service provided by this business proved to be even further lacking when I messaged back whomever offered the free drink and that message was read (Instagram tells you) but ignored completely. Giving two stars because the shop is really cute and the second drink was tasty, but I won't be returning after such poor customer service. Hopefully the owner takes notice soon before untrained staff and lack of management present run it into the ground. read more

I stopped by not long after their opening today for a bite and a latte. There were two ladies in front of me getting their order taken by a young man (teenager) I'd best describe as surly. He was taking orders and making drinks by himself, so maybe that's why he was pissy acting. Luckily another man came out the back and took my order while the kid was finishing up drinks, but not before he used his cell phone to text by the sink though. He was more pleasant at least. I ordered a large latte, and was definitely charged the 4.75, not sure why I got a smaller cup than last time. It tasted good but there wasn't a cute latte art or anything this time. You can see the size difference in the 2 pictures, the one with the face is the first visit's cup. My Rician sandwich was good, I like the pickle and mustard combo with the turkey. I used the bathroom, I assume it had been cleaned before opening since the door's stopped was down. It was kind hard to pry back up, so it might be best not to leave those for customers to fuss with. read more
