French toast and eggs and hashbrowns

We got a simple breakfast during a long road trip, the eggs and hashbrowns were pretty good, if I passed through again I would stop here again. The service was very quick. They have a clean restaurant.

This was a place that was actually open at 6am on a Saturday in Grants Pass. Not too far off the freeway and I appreciated the healthy breakfast option!

Kids grilled cheese, biscuits & gravy and BLT
    Kimberly H.

Looked for a roadtrip lunch spot and grateful for this gem. Portions were big and great value for ~$30 for kiddos' grilled cheese, biscuits and gravy and BLT with tater tots. Someone reviewed the biscuits as great and they did not disappoint!!! Even the children's grilled cheese impressed me. We couldn't get how quick the food was prepared and a table over commented the same. The waitress was fabulous and I loved the homey decor throughout the restaurant

    Grilled cheese w fries

Very comfy and friendly vibe, and comfort food for sure. We had biscuits and gravy, BLT with tater tots, and grilled cheese and fries for the kids. Biscuits were great, BLT very good, and kids enjoyed the grilled cheese and fries. We were stuffed so we didn't try dessert, but cinnamon rolls and pies looked tasty.

It took 30 minutes to reach our table. We were encouraged and excited to try the food and then we were weirdly disappointed. No flavor. I understand farm to table, but zero flavor. Hot sauce was offered. I accepted. Helped out. My husband's Ruben wasn't what he was expecting. The meat was dry and had no flavor. Strange, because usually a Ruben sandwich has a lot of roasted flavor. He said it tasted like dry roast beef. Had a lot of picture quality, but not much else.

Being harassed for leaving honest reviews about experiences shouldn't be happening on this platform. It doesn't help at all. There's plenty of reviews stating similar nuances. It can be improved. Honorable mentions The bloody Mary with the dill salt and white chocolate blondie WERE AMAZING. Staff were so friendly too!! But....BUT. We waited almost 40 min for food after ordering :/ we both had breakfast burritos that were just very average tasting. They did comp my Bloody Mary and the desert but man oh man that wait for the food was crazy and it wasn't a packed house either. In total after we left we had spent three hours there: waiting for table, waiting for food, eating it and finishing. We intended for a lot less time there. This was a Saturday. Maybe there's a problem going on in the kitchen or not having a food runner. Not sure ! Mediocre food for an absurd long. Unfortunately I will be back for that dill slat rim Bloody Mary. But not worth the wait for the food.

What an amazing experience at DASSH Bakery in Grants Pass!…read more From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the owners, a husband-and-wife team who clearly pour their hearts into this bakery. Everything is made fresh, and you can absolutely taste the difference. We ordered the Local Bagel, and it was phenomenal. It had bacon, aioli, and a variety of fresh ingredients that came together perfectly. I honestly can't remember everything that was on it because I was too busy enjoying it! The bagel itself was fresh-made and absolutely delicious. We also tried the ham bagel sandwich with cheddar, ham, and honey mustard, and it was just as fantastic. Every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. For a sweet treat, we had the blueberry scone, and it was perfection--flavorful, tender, and clearly made from scratch. Their coffee menu is impressive as well. They can make just about any latte you want and offer a great selection of syrups, including cookie butter, vanilla, lavender, and many more. They also have plenty of milk options, including oat milk, almond milk, whole milk, and regular milk. The bakery itself was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and very inviting. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with outdoor seating available, including two two-top tables and a larger six-top table, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your food and coffee. The service was impeccable. Since the bakery is run by the owners themselves, things may take a little longer during busy times, but that wasn't an issue at all for us. The care, attention, and quality they put into every order are well worth the wait. If you're in Grants Pass, DASSH Bakery is an absolute must-visit. Fresh-made food, outstanding coffee, a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and wonderful owners who truly care about their customers. Easily a five-star experience, and we'll definitely be back! Ended up striking up a conversation with one of the employees, Blade, who was fantastic. Blade gave credit to one of the owners, Elvie Cartwright. Well Elvie, if you see this: you have an incredible green thumb and an artist's eye for beauty. Kudos. Our seating was in the bar downstairs which was very busy and noisy which was ok for 2 of us unfortunately 2 of our party were deaf and that was an issue for visiting. Our dinners: clam linguine, small clams in butter wine sauce was good, lots of broth and noodles could have had more clams. Dinner salads were great, big, crisp and fresh. Hubby had the meatballs with whipped potatoes, not a big meal but very tasty. I often buy ribeye steaks at the Cartwright's market and they are wonderful. Cartwright's owns Taprock restaurant so I figured that's the steak they'd serve but no it was thin and tough like a top round steak, it was cooked med rare that I ordered. It wasn't cheap, won't order again. Margaritas were very good. Service was excellent and there was lots of hired help in all areas. Our waitress was attentive, personable and we enjoyed her service.
