Powerful Pest used to be a good pest control company, then they changed. After moving we restarted their service but their invoices overcharged us. When we tried to call them numerous times their telephone mailbox was always full. There was no one to speak to. We paid them in full and cancelled the service via letter but they continued to bill us for service we did not receive and do not want. Do not do business with this company. read more

I am not sure what's going on, but Powerful Pest Management has become unresponsive. My family has tried reaching them via multiple phone numbers which are never answered. Emails are also never answered. We continued to be billed while no services were rendered. This is an unacceptable way to treat paying customers or to run a company. Update: The owner did try to reach out to us after a LOT of attempts to connect, but we let them know that it was just too late. Whatever is going on, I do wish them the best. Technicians were skilled but too heavy to crawl into the crawl space to find the hole for rats. After spending $2000 to find an opening where rats were getting in Alfredo came, found the hole and covered it. Recently your guys were 2 no shows and no calls after I stay home during the 2 hour windows you gave me. Also I found that your guys put that white poison powder into my large wooden serving tray. Now I have to throw away the tray. NOT GOOD! read more

I had mice and rats in my home! I was mortified. Armando set traps and sticky pads. I called the office the next morning , before business hours 6:30 to schedule to pick these creatures up. Company does not show up when they say they will. Requested refund of unused prepaid service and have heard nothing from the company. They refuse to call me back. Lori (owner/manager) is useless and doesn't care about customer service. Buyer beware! I was very pleased with the company until a few months ago. They quit calling to make appointment for spraying. If I received a call for service, the next day they would not show up or arrived hours past the time quoted. I received two bills for March when they had not even been to our residents. I called to express my dissatisfaction and was promised they would arrive the next day to spray. They did not appear or call to explain why they didn't show. I'm done with all the excuses. read more

A mouse appeared in my house Wednesday night. Called Powerful emergency night line, the owner answered and said someone will be there at 6:15 thr next morning. Alex arrived at 6:08 and immediately searched for it. Within 10 min., there were 4 other guys from Powerful helping Alex. They were kind, ambitious and found the mouse quickly. Excellent response & results. Alex came back the next day when my dog discovered a trap, to check on everything, again- excellent response! Highly recommend. read more

I have used this service for the last year and will be finding another company for my pest control. They are the most unreliable people. Never know when they are going to come. Have tried to set a schedule, but it means nothing to them. Can't get a hold of them most times because they seldom answer the phone and their voicemail box is always full. They are very reasonably priced (because our HOA uses them), so I guess you get what you pay for. Would rather pay more and get better service. read more

I was referred to Powerful from our HOA Mgnt Company. Wow, shame on there management of Powerful for hiring the lady who answers the phone, she has no idea what she is doing. She asked me my name 3 times, put me on hold 3 times and then told me they can have someone out this Friday to look but can't do any work and then will come back in 2 to 4 days. I again explained to the lady that I had a Rodent problem in the Attic and she said they will investigate and come back in a few days. What a waste of everyones time. I new the problem and they want to go back and forth. I will never use this company not only because of the unprofessional lady at the front, but for wasting time on going back and forth. read more

On two occasions I discovered rats in a toilet after returning to my vacation home. I didn't get the name of the technician but he was so nice and came both times within half an hour, and disposed of the rats. (BTW, be sure there is always water in your toilets!) Friday afternoon, bees flying all over the backyard created a bit of a panic. They sent someone out in a bee suit.He found the source and in about an hour I could use by backyard patio again. Returning to my vacation home I noticed the toilet bowl had no water and apparently it had evaporated. What I didn't know was that rats love this and use that opportunity to travel into your home. I cannot describe my horror at reaching to flush it to fill the bowl with water and seeing not one but two huge rats fly out. I managed to shoo one outside but the other tan up into a hole under my cabinet and disappeared. We didn't sleep that night and I tried for hours to get someone to come help me. Truly Nolen despite their ad that states 24 hour emergency service seemed only interested in selling me a package and does not offer 24 hour service unless you are a customer set up in their package plan... I told them their advertising was deceptive and kept calling other people. Dewey had no 24 hr service either. Powerful pest control does! Not only that but the owner was an absolute gem trying to page staff to help me. Despite not being able to get someone here that night, she called me back late to give me a status report, apologize for not being able to reach her staff, and even offered me 6am the next morning. I am delighted to say that Caesar and his coworker could not have been more professional. They handled my shrieks and panic with so much grace and didn't make me feel like an idiot for absolutely losing it over a rat in my home. They removed it quickly and professionally. This company is not one I want to deal with anymore. They were fine when all they had to do was come out and spray around the perimeter of the house. Then we had a bee problem in the back yard. They charged us $225 and came out and sprayed for a few minutes which pissed the bees off and nothing more. They told us they would be back for another treatment after the bees settled down. We waited a week and no one showed up so we had to call. They told us they would have to break into the wall to remove the bees and that we would have to repair the wall. I canceled all of their service because $225 to piss of a bunch of bees is highway robbery. Instead, I went to Home Depot and bought a $1.00 can of wasp spray and a can of "Great Stuff pest formula". I sprayed the wall opening to deter the bees and filled in the crack of the wall with great stuff. Guess what! No more bees. If you use this service, you are crazy. I learned a valuable lesson to pass on to others. In my personal opinion "Powerful Pest Management" is a company that cheated me and should have refunded most of my money since they accomplished absolutely nothing and wanted to cheat me even more. My recommendation is never use this service. They only received two stars because they showed up. read more

Stay away from Powerful Pest. They came recommended from our property manager but what a mistake! Their service person used our bathroom and purposefully did NOT FLUSH. Their response was "we train our personnel to not use client's restrooms". Obviously their training stinks (no pun intended). They charged me for months of service and then I found out no one was coming to spray. Once, when I was home, I witnessed their service person spray the back of the house only for maybe 5 seconds. Not all around. He never used the de-web brush and I was paying for that service. Lori Fahnestock and her manager, Lorie Prater, are not honest or professional when it comes to dealing with their customers. Do yourself a favor and use someone else. There are plenty. read more

We have used them on a monthly basis for a dozen years very happily. The only problem we have had is when we have prepaid for the coming year--that seems to serve as a disincentive to showing up, and it tends to take several phone calls before they come for the service. read more

I would NEVER RECOMMEND this company!!! They have been billing us $35 for at least 6 months CLAIMING we asked for their service. Even after multiple calls explaining we had never called requesting service, they continue to bill us insisting they sprayed insecticide in our home. We contacted our property management company & discovered this company does spray our resort. Beware of a company that refuses to listen - we can definitely afford the $35 but that's not the point.
