The food was delicious and so well seasoned! I ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada and an horchata, and everything was so good. The horchata really surprised me because it had peanuts in it, which I've never had before, but I loved it! The inside is super cute with beautiful lighting and decorations that give it such a nice atmosphere. Tania was our waitress and she was amazing! She was so sweet, attentive, and treated us so well throughout our visit. Parking can get a little crowded since the restaurant is located in a large shopping center, but overall we had a great experience. I would definitely come back!

Let me start off by saying the entrees were def the peak of this spot! I will take good food over a vibey spot any day! However, there are some things that def could have improved. 1. I order the canasta which can with cookies, conchas, and one diff type of cookie. I expected the conchas to be soft and they were not; they were dry and honestly unappealing. Do not recommend unless maybe you go at the beginning at the beginning of the day. 2. Apparently my meal was going to take an unusual long time to prepare, and instead of asking me before bringing out my partners meal, they brought out all of his food while i waited an extra 10 mins for mine (I ended up switching from the Benedict to Chicharron). Chicharron was so tasty, but I don't quite comprehend why you'd bring out one persons meal instead plating the table all at once. This alone was enough to make me not return. 3. The flavored mimosas were 1/2 juice and 1/2 champagne - def don't recommend ordering, order the champagne with the juice on the side. The aesthetic was solid, nicely decorated and comfy seating. Solid Latin music playing that was reminiscent of my elders music. Giving the food a solid 8/10 but the overall experience was more of a 6/10.

delicious delicious I got seated outside, it was peak brunch hour but the wait was only like 10 minutes. We got their tabla campestre to share and it was perfect for two. Their strawberry jamaica drink was also a 10/10. Service was also great!

A great new find in Costa Mesa! This brunch spot was an unexpected find that served great Mexican and American dishes. The enchiladas were hearty with fantastic homemade green sauce. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and paired well with fried rice. The restaurant is visually beautiful and does not seem like it's adjacent to a Mercado. It was fun to walk and buy some guacamole and salsa after brunch and shop the Mercado for finds that were included in the brunch dishes. There are about 5 places to eat in the Mercado and we will be back to try them.

ORDER banana foster pancakes (5/5) THE BEST!! it was so good, but soso sweet. this truly amazed me. definitely a must try if you visit pradera. flat iron steak chilaquiles (4.5/5) both the green and red salsas were so good, so the chilaquiles was yummyl. we got it with the flat iron steak which costed an additional $10. eggs benedict with asada (3/5) breakfast burrito (3/5) im not the biggest fan of eggs benedict, but the asada was quite dry as well. we ate the burrito last so maybe it didn't taste as good because we were so full, but we didn't like the sausage. overall, the burrito was alright. i wouldn't get it next time. horchata matcha (3.5/5) light matcha flavor, but the horchata foam on top was so yummy. the foam tasted like ice cream! overall, i'd definitely come back and recommend to others! the banana foster is a must :P SERVICE nothing special about the service. the server wasn't overly friendly, but wasn't rude or anything either. AMBIANCE very nice inside! there are also tables outside.

It was the last day of our trip and we were about to drive home, but I wanted a nice filling breakfast before our long drive. We went the day before memorial Day on a Monday so it might have made this spot a bit busier than normal. It took about 20 minutes after putting our names on the list although it had estimated 10 to 15 min when we had done it. I was happy we were sat outside as it was a lovely day, and the table was this really cool slab of wood that was shaped really beautifully, and overall they really put energy into the aesthetics to make a fun vibe We both got the brisket Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached, the portion large, and the potatoes on the side nice and crispy. We also added a side of avocado. The overall taste was great, but the brisket on its own would have been a bit dry. As a whole dish though it was delicious. I also got a coconut strawberry smoothie and it tasted great even if it ran a little sweet. My son kept drinking mine, so I had to get a second. It's one of the many California spots that just reminds me that this state seems to have the best brunches. I would definitely come back if in the area again.

Fresca Waffles, my 5 year old ate 2 of them, absolutely wonderful with the crema. Birria was super tender, I always enjoy the consume broth and wish I had more, it wasn't super fatty or oily which is a problem with some places but not here. Wagyu cheeseburger was juicy and bun super soft. Matcha iced horchata mix was a great balance of sweet and fresh with the earthiness of the match. I love the east meets south fusion going on here. Service was excellent and we will be back, I'm just too full to think about it but I'm making room for next time!

Parking is super easy as it's in a huge plaza! We came for brunch in a Saturday, and the wait time was not bad at all! We had Sam as our server! She was top notch from start to finish! She was super friendly and careful with detail when taking our order like making sure she even got our milk preference for our drinks! The food came out quick, and everything was so delicious! I got the birria beef omelette, and the tres leches waffles!! I can't wait to come back and get this again! I know I'm going to be dreaming of these waffles!!!

Pradera is a sit down restaurant adjacent to Mercado Gonzalez in Costa Mesa. One of my golf regulars suggested we come here after our round, and I'm glad he did. They offer a number of starters. We opted for Guac w/ chicharrones & chips, and queso fundido w/ longanisa. First of all, the guac was super fresh, and went well w/ the chicharrones. Chips are kinda standard, but they make theirs in-house from the blue corn tortillas. Likewise, the queso fundido was very tasty, albeit on the smaller side. The app only came w/ 4 tortillas, but there were 5 of us. Pradera also has a wide array of entrees. I had the birria, two of my friends had enchiladas suiza, and another had mole (not sure what my fifth friend ordered). I also saw chilaquiles on the menu that I would like to try next time. The meat in my birria was super tender, and went well w/ the corn tortillas. The consomme had a little kick, and was nicely seasoned. Both of my friends who ordered the enchiladas couldn't finish their dishes (one friend usually eats everyone's leftovers). Regarding the ambiance, they have nice aire libre seating during good weather. You can also sit indoors if you like: The place is big. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. The only downside regarding the service is they didn't have their alcohol license as of 6/3/26. When they do receive their license we understand it will be beer & wine only. I look forward to returning to Pradera after golf soon. Its very near the golf course, the food is much better vs the Americanized Mex place we frequent, and the service is very good.

The Fairly Small Restaurant Is Located On Right Side Of The Market When You're Walking Up Towards It. Make Sure You Sign-In On The Waiting List Pad Because It Gets Packed!! The Noise Level Is Pretty High! My First Visit Was On Saturday, 6/6/26 @ 11:00am. The Staff Is Very Friendly & The Decor Is Super Cute!! I Had The Shrimp Ceviche Which Was Fresh/Good & The Iced Matcha With Strawberry Foam Was Good. The Eggs Benedict With Pork Belly Was Good As Well.

we were looking at Costa Mesa brunch spots on this fine Sunday morning and when we found Pradera, we excited to try it because it looked vibey and cute! we got there @ 12:15pm, put our name on the waitlist, and were seated by 12:55pm (thank you yelp waitlist texts!). not bad! one thing i want to note right off the bat: i do think the service was not that great. we were seated outside, and after we were seated we almost immediately had our order taken and waters brought to the table. then, our server let us know she was going on lunch, but that we would be taken care of. and post-brunch i gotta be honest: we were nottt taken care of. not ever checked in on, no water refill was given, and no one was even coming outside to even try to get their attention (other than to quickly drop off food orders then scurry back in). i had to wait a while before getting our server's attention even at the end for the check. maybe service is better for inside seating ?? idk but.. definitely not my favorite service i've had and really affected our experience :( now onto the food, here's what we ordered: - iced horchata matcha latte: the star was definitely the horchata foam - it overtook the matcha but honestly it was yummmm - cucumber breeze mule: i normally loveeee cucumber drinks, but this one tasted.. clear if that makes sense LOL. not bad, just clear.. i wish it had maybe a little sweetness + more cucumber flavor to it - smoked brisket wagyu burger: good barbecue burger, but nothing particularly special. happy that the brisket was not dry though! - birria melt: the reason i wanted to come here and it did not disappoint!! the bread was nice and soft and soaked up the consome perfectly, and the birria was so flavorful! it was my favorite dish for sure overall the experience was okay, but we left with full happy stomachs. would we come back again? maybe!!

Been here twice now amd the service is always great, even when busy. We've had all the kinds of chilaquiles you can get and they were all really yummy. Breakfast burrito was a little lacking but still good. The horchata matcha is literally the best matcha I've ever had. Menu is a little pricey (and made with AI) but worth it.

Immediate 5 stars after reading that their Cafe de olla was UNLIMITED! When I first moved to California I never heard of Cafe de olla until my co-worker brought it homemade and it changed my life and added a new coffee drink on my rotation! My friend and I were looking for a cute like brunch spot to catch up at and decided on Pradera Brunch since it's right next to Northgate! The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and service was amazing. At first we were seated inside, but my friend started to have a migraine a few minutes after being seated and the serve was very accommodating and was ok moving us to the patio seating. Both of us were wanting to try a lot of things and instead of getting an entree each we decided to share their Burrito Mojado with Sausage and also shared their Fresas Con crema waffles! Pro Tip: We asked for the red and green salsa to be put on the side so we both could adjust how much we wanted on our burrito and also try both salsas instead of one. Both were amazing and I would suggest getting both! The burrito mojado was really good! I enjoyed all the flared inside the burrito and they didn't skip out on any fillings! Their Fresas con crema was the star of the show! It was light and not too sweet, the fresh strawberries truly some balance to it! Will be bringing back more friends here to break fast and enjoy great food!

This place opened a week ago so they're still tweaking some things and the food was a little slow to come out BUT the food was so good that the wait did not matter. I got the chile relleno eggs benedict which was incredibly tasty. The hollandaise did not overpower the chile relleno, which was the star of the dish. My husband got chilorio con papas with scrambled eggs, which reminded me of a classic Mexican breakfast your best friend's abuela made for you. We will definitely be back to try the enchiladas. Generous portions-we could have shared. The owner of the restaurant was there and introduced himself to us-he was very sweet. I hope this place takes off! read more

I came here for brunch and everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the tiramisu pancakes and chilaquiles (half red, half green) with a side of café de olla everything was beautifully plated and full of flavor! The pancakes were soft and sweet, topped with fresh berries and cream, and the chilaquiles were perfectly balanced between both sauces. Service was amazing Liz was our waitress and she was super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was cozy and the presentation of the food was stunning. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, great coffee, and great vibes. Will be coming back again soon! read more

Let me start off with saying this is my 1st time here & my experience was wonderful! I came without a reservation and it took us 30mins to be seated. The place was beautiful! Sam our server was amazing, gave wonderful recommendations, and checked in on us without hovering. The food was tasty. The pork belly was delicious and the cucumber breeze mojito was so good! SOOOOOO YUMMY!!!! We came here for brunch on a Saturday around 12-12:30pm and only had a 25 minute wait! The parking lot can be pretty busy, so do plan ahead. The ambience was so pretty and the servers + hosts are very attentive! We had the horchata matcha oat latte, 1000/10! The texture of their foam is perfect and not too sweet. I ordered the Chile relleno Benedict and it was amazing. Had great flavor and the portion of the Chile relleno was great. Their seasoned potatoes are very good too. I didn't feel as if the food needed any extra salt or pepper! A pleasant surprise was the tres leches French toast. This was to die for! It wasn't too sweet, the texture of the bread was fluffy and soft, and their fruit was so fresh and sweet. There was a slight delay to our French toast getting to our table, and the manager ended up comping the item on our bill. Very sweet and shows how customer service is at the forefront of their business. I had an amazing time at Pradera and have already recommended it my family and friends! How have I never been here before? Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and only had to wait a few mins to get seated (you have to use a tablet in front of the Restaurant to check in) Our server Mirta was friendly and attentive. in november we tried this place for my husbands birthday - when it was still VACA & loved it. came back today and absolutely hated it, the steak skillet ribeye $50 and it was straight trash, the worst meat you can ever have, taste like shredded paper with no flavor. waited almost half an hr for our food. We came in on a Saturday morning with a party of 7 and had a great time. The wait was a little less than an hour, I gave my number for the line. Once in, the service was great with Sam. Came here to celebrate Mother's Day and try this restaurant out for the first time and boy were we all impressed. Everything we ordered was so flavorful! My husband , our 4-month-old baby, and I decided to try Pradera Brunch at Northgate Market in Costa Mesa for brunch. Unfortunately, our experience was so disappointing that we left without even eating. When we arrived, we checked in on the virtual waitlist tablet and were told to wait. While waiting, we went into Northgate Market to grab a drink. When we were called, a host with red hair immediately told us we needed to hurry and finish our drinks before being seated. We rushed back, only to be told that the table assigned to us was too small to accommodate our stroller. What was frustrating is that there was an empty table nearby that appeared large enough for our family, but no effort was made to seat us there. Instead, we were asked if we wanted to share a table with strangers. When we declined, we were told we would be placed back on the waitlist, despite already having waited our turn. To make matters worse, another party that arrived after us was seated before we were. It felt like our situation was completely dismissed, and no one seemed interested in finding a reasonable solution for a family with a young infant. The communication among staff was also extremely poor. One host told us to wait in a certain area, but shortly afterward another employee approached us and rudely told us to go outside because we were "blocking the area." At the same time, another gentleman approached us and handled the situation much more politely, even offering us a place to sit while they sorted things out. While waiting near the kitchen area, servers were constantly moving back and forth. At one point, a knife somehow ended up inside our baby's bassinet. Thankfully, I was holding my baby at the time. When the host noticed the knife, instead of apologizing or showing concern, she simply asked, "How did that get there?" My husband replied that he had just noticed it as well. She picked up the knife and walked away without any apology or acknowledgment of how serious that situation was. By this point, we were upset, frustrated, and uncomfortable. The lack of customer service, poor communication, dismissive attitude, and safety concern involving our baby's bassinet were enough for us to decide to leave without dining. We were genuinely excited to try this restaurant, but the entire experience left us feeling unwelcome and ignored. Management should seriously work on staff communication, customer service, and how families with children are accommodated. read more

Starting off with the drinks, we ordered a hot vanilla latte and a cafe de olla. The vanilla latte tasted like milk and absolutely nothing else, and the cafe de olla might as well have been a cafe de Azucar with how sickeningly sweet it was. For food we ordered the tabla de quesos and the chile relleno Benedict. The tabla was fine, the cheese will appeal to you if you've grown up eating them. Our chile relleno was not hot enough and the potatoes were wilty and unseasoned. This place is good for instagram but if you're looking for good Mexican breakfast it is not on the top of my list read more

I love this brunch place, although they don't have a large selection of vegetarian or pescatarian selections, I have to say it is still one of my favorite places to eat. We had such a great brunch at Padera in Costa Mesa! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and the experience was even better thanks to our amazing server, Liz. Also we're greeted by the owners which was a nice experience. We started with the cheese plate, which was beautifully put together and a perfect way to kick off brunch. The birria torta and pork belly tacos were standout dishes, full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and seriously satisfying. Every bite was great. We also had a few of their drinks, which were refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. What really made the experience exceptional was Liz, our server. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. Service like that really makes a difference and made our brunch feel relaxed and enjoyable. I had one of the worst dining experiences at VACA. After driving a long distance to try this place, I was forced to wait two full hours for a table. During that time, the hostesses at the front were completely unprofessional--gossiping, laughing, and ignoring waiting guests. It felt like customer service was the last thing on their minds. When I finally got seated, I was hoping the food would make up for the wait. Unfortunately, it was horrible. No seasoning, everything was burnt, and frankly, inedible. I couldn't even finish my plate--it was so bad I considered giving it to my dog instead. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. VACA needs to seriously rethink its service and kitchen standards. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! read more

Perfectly balanced, smooth, and exactly what you want to start your brunch. Now let's talk food. I ordered the brisket skillet with sausage and bacon (see picture), and wow. The brisket was unbelievably seasoned and packed with flavor -- tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Every bite hit. I also tried the fresas con creama pancakes, and they were absolutely bomb. Stopped by this restaurant thinking it was still Vaca, then realized it had changed. Since we were already there, we decided to give it a try. It's primarily a breakfast/brunch spot with no alcohol. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing from the start. We waited about 10 minutes at the front without being acknowledged, and only got seated after my mom went inside to ask a server. Throughout the meal, our server kept forgetting items, and when I asked for the check, she began upselling a coffee mug, which felt inappropriate given the circumstances. The food was decent but not worth the price. The decor and seating area are nice, with plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor tables. Tried the new brunch spot Vaca at the NorthGate Mercado and loved it! The place is small but full of color, charm, and great vibes. We met one of the owners who was super friendly, talkative, and made us feel so welcome. We ordered the Café de la Olla with their conchas, both were amazing! The owner even brought us some cookies to try, and they were delicious. Their menu is big and everything looks so good. The Bananas Foster is definitely a must-try, and the chilaquiles were spot on. We first saw this restaurant on TikTok and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and lively. Pradera Brunch did NOT miss. The chilaquiles are hands down the best I've ever had -- full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The licuado came in a bolsa just like in Mexico, such a cool and authentic touch. We also ordered the tabla de quesos, which is basically a Mexican-style charcuterie board. Our server was nice and friendly and made sure we got our dishes okay after our friend mentioned being allergic to spice. She was very helpful and attentive to us. And the ambience is very nice here. We were seated outside and there's no music outside so it's easier to hear each other. The food was great I loved the egg white omelette the chicken was delicious. Since arriving to reserve a table all the staff was super friendly ! very quick wait time & so worth the wait! Our Waitress Sam was so attentive aside from such a busy Sunday Brunch! I tried two drinks, a licuado de plátano and a frappé de Gansito, and honestly I really liked both. The banana licuado was simple but really good. It tasted fresh and natural, not too sweet, and you could actually taste the banana instead of just sugar. I came shortly after they opened on a Saturday and they had a line as per usual. It's always a crowd here! But, it feels trendy and charming. They have a seasonal menu and a concrete menu. On my two visits, I ordered the Dessert Glaze with whole milk ($7.50) and the Straight from Kyoto ($7.50) with maple walnut milk. Both drinks I ordered were $7.50 and the price doesn't include tax, so I paid ~$8 in total per drink. They don't add too much ice, so you get a good amount. The Dessert Glaze wasn't very memorable, but I really enjoyed their matcha with the maple walnut milk! The taste was similar to a hazelnut creamer, and the drink wasn't too sweet because their matcha is very strong and full-bodied. My friend ordered the Arnold Palmer, and it was kind of watery so I wouldn't recommend their lemonades. The drinks can take a while depending on how busy they are, but whether you can find a table or sit at the bar, there's usually somewhere to sit. The ambiance here is great, with a bathroom, trendy decor, and a community-feel. It has been hot lately, and they don't run AC, however. So, be mindful of that. We didn't try any food, but it honestly looked amazing. Some cafes make you feel a certain way, and I think Salty Horse has that it factor where you want to come bring your friends for brunch or a quick drink. It's simply a nice place to be. Parking can be tough but it neighbors a residential area, so street parking is available.

City Plate - Wife went with this dish French scrambled eggs, on the menu it does say Pork Belly, but unfortunately they ran out so she went with bacon. Hokkaido milk bread French toast, seasonal jam and berries. First off most places that know how to cook bacon, just nice and crispy, you know whomever is cooking, is cooking.
