Great date spot, my partner and I had a wonderful time. The service was lovely and the atmosphere was beautiful. There was live music when we went on saturday night that made for an excellent experience. The wine selection was very diverse, and our server for the evening was very helpful. We started with the filet pinchos and crispy brussels sprouts for tapas before our meal. Both were delicious! We shared the house salad and the short rib entrees which were cooked wonderfully. The venue and atmosphere could use a "modern lift" but maybe that's the charm of the venue. The service was absolutely amazing- from the hostess to our server- he was attentive without being in our space and ensured we were enjoying every dish and beverage. Sigh. We came here several years ago and the food was stellar. We decided to staycation at the Omni again this year and could not wait to eat at Prado again. Oh how times have changed... The service was fine. Our only issue was with the food. We ordered: Pan de Manchego - The bread came out cold. So we asked our server if it was supposed to come out cold. He said no. Took it back, brought a new one, and the outside was warm, but the inside was still cold. Cold bread. Yum. Queso Fritto - Fried cheese. Ok. But it was like "elevated" mozzarella sticks. Meh. And the romesco sauce was tasteless. Patatas Bravas - The sauce was a weird smoky tomato sauce (not good). The chorizo (IMO) could not save the dish. The flavors together were weird and off-putting. Hamachi Crudo - This dish was laughable. The plating was an afterthought for sure. The "fresno" peppers were just non-spicy pickled jalapenos. Womp. And the fish was eh. Gazpacho - I LOVE gazpacho. And the watermelon was a nice touch. But something was missing. It was light and fresh, but lacking in flavor. Heirloom Tomato - Nothing to write home about. Tomatoes weren't cold. Burrata was ok. The saba could have saved this dish, but it too was flavorless. Mixed Greens - We added shrimp to this salad, but the shrimp did not taste right. We each ate one and let our server and the manager know that we would not be eating the rest. They comped this one, luckily. The rest of the salad was good, but, again, nothing major. For the prices you're paying, the food is really disappointing. I hope it gets back to its better days...and fast. read more

Went here for Valentine's Day. It was an automatic $120 per person and $65 bottle extra for wine. Food was great, but Service was so incredibly slow. We started setting a timer to see how long it would take to get our next course. It was around 15 minutes each time. We would've ordered more wine if we were asked.. but we didn't even get a water refill. Everyone around us was also complaining. To top it all off, they applied an automatic 22% gratuity. I complained and they discounted it but still.. don't plan special occasions here. $400+ dinner for two should've been much better. read more

Staycation this weekend......sadly the breakfast buffet was still closed so we ordered off the menu. We seemed to have two different servers for whatever reason, one greeted and got drinks the other took orders someone else delivered the food and then our original server brought our bill so that was a little interesting.....I had the asparagus and mushroom omelette which was very good! Their potatoes were seasoned very well and the sourdough toast was amazing. We also got the berry bowl so the table could share and they were fresh and delicious. I attended a baby shower at Prado yesterday. I arrived and was going to self park but the gentleman said valet parking was complimentary if I dined in the restaurant. I decided to go that route since I had a large present to carry in. The girls that arranged the shower got a room in the back, which I'm guessing was a private room. The restaurant looked empty and I'm sure we could've just sat anywhere in the restaurant. Since the shower started at 11am they had a brunch menu. Some of the girls wanted lunch so our server brought us the lunch menu to look at to decide but was not offered till 12pm. We ordered around 11:30 and our server said she would take all our orders, whether it was breakfast or lunch and see what she could do to bring it out all at the same time. The couple of us that did order lunch wasn't worried and would wait till 12. To our surprise, all our food came out at the same time so thank you. We appreciate the great customer service. I ordered the roasted turkey blt with Parmesan fries. I also ordered a red sangria and my gf and I both agreed that it was the best sangria we ever had! After opening gifts, we had to go to the courtyard outside to eat dessert because they do not allow outside food. It was fine since it wasn't too hot. All in all, great experience! A beautiful setting in the tranquil Paradise Valley. Ambiance is as if you escaped to Morocco without a passport! Food is amazingly good and plated beautifully all made to order using local organically sourced ingredients so if you need to modify (like I do for dietary reasons) its not a problem for the Kitchen. I'd highly recommend the beet salad to start followed by a spicy seafood paella and leave room for a scrumptious dessert. On a lovely afternoon I feel the patio is preferred, but the inside has a lot of charm so it depends on the vibe you are after. There's just a few things that need attention: (1) they have an aggressive bird problem! No joke the Mockingbird in my picture literally stole two shrimp tails off my plate before my eyes!! (He didn't ask nor pay for them either lol) Not to mention I had a fear of bird poop droppings while I was eating... I'm not sure how but they need to deal with the issue at hand! Also (2) the waiter should know what kind of seafood comes with the paella without having to check with the Kitchen... if it changes daily that is not a bad thing, but since it is not called out specifically on the menu, it is certainly a question a trained waiter should have an answer for when taking an order. Oh one more thing... I feel its a place you may want to come to relax so remember to ASK they course out the order or quite literally everything will arrive at once! read more

The food was so good, I was tempted to lick my plate clean! I ordered the Wood Fired Prime Filet, which came with a side of scalloped potatoes so creamy and delicious I wanted to order seconds. We loved this place. We stayed at the resort for a week and felt very cared for by the staff and not to mention some great food. Just a mention about the staff- they really know what they're talking about and will steer you to exactly what you are looking for- so make sure you ask them their preferences. As you can see by my pics, both breakfast and dinner are fabulous. The paella has so many flavors going on and it's the perfect amount of spice to make your taste buds come alive and say "thank you." The hue is rancheros are fantastic. Every bite is savory good with a touch of that Spanish flavor and spices. Sooo good. And the bread- whaaat?! We had this for dinner and seriously could have stopped right there. So delicious, soft, warm with that butter that must have mystical flavors. The s'more dessert if they still have it is worth a try. It's got such a good texture and flavor. And the view from the outdoor seating area makes you feel like you're on a Hollywood set. Beautiful venue and expert service. The menus were A LOT! There was the main menu, a prefix menu and the tapas menu.. The menu can be downsized to less impressive to more comfortable choices. The cheeseburger needed sauce on the bun or served on the side and flatbread (a bit sweet) both were okay but could have been better. The prawns were okay but adding a few pieces of garlic toast would have improved the dish 100%. Wouldn't go out of our way to choose here for dinner. Music in the lounge was so good! read more

Carmen is the perfect combination of attentive service (offering me humorous stories when I ask about life in the valley), to giving me time to stare out at the patio, building memories for when I return to the cold, wet country. Had dinner and breakfast here during our stay at the Omni. Everything was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. For dinner, my better half had the filet and I had the seafood paella, both were very good. Ric, our server, made sure we were well taken care of. Breakfast consisted of an asparagus omelette and the huevos rancheros (I substituted corn instead of flour tortillas). Again, both were very good. A stunning location! The Montelucia is architecturally beautiful with Camelback Mountain as a backdrop. Prado is so tastefully decorated and designed. A romantic spot for sure. It was very quiet which I assume is due to it being off season.The food at Prado is terrific. We were a table of 4 and started with your typical Cheese Plate, kindve tasteless Patatas Bravas which consisted of potato rounds and chorizo, and the delicious Croquettes De Jamon y Pollo. 2 of us had large plates, one Short Ribs which were perfectly satisfying. The Paella Valencia was loaded with chicken, clams, prawns, chorizo and veggies. We also had the meatballs and spicy brussel sprout tapas. Very good. Our Tartar De Santiago almond cake was delish and shared by all. Ric, our waiter, was terrific. He brought 3 wine tastings to choose from of which we had 2 bottles of Cab. All in all, my company was terrific and the restaurant was great however, very expensive. I'm at the point in my life that I don't need to spend $500 for a meal. My preference these days are the local, plentiful cultural joints. But if you're looking for ambience, romance, a 5 star delish meal with great service, Prado is it. read more

Prado is an upscale Spanish Style Restaurant located in the Omni Montelucia Resort in Paradise Valley in Scottsdale. The atmosphere is RICH and Majestic. There's a great aroma as you enter from the wood burning grill in the dining room. They started us off with very crusty sourdough bread and arugula pesto. For starters we shared the Beet Salad and the Baked Brie. Both were great but I wish I had a steak knife to cut the baked brie....It was extremely delicious but difficult to cut with our butterknives. For dinner I had the Wood Grilled Half Chicken. It was STUNNING and Delicious. My husband had the Paella Valenciana. All the proteins were prepared to perfection and were seasoned well. The dish was delicious but didn't have the crust one would expect on a great Paella. Wild berry Crumble was delicious and was mostly strawberries. Chocolate Bomba was very Chocolate-tee and SUPER RICH. Our waiter didn't seem like he was there but we got everything we needed in a timely manner. We were here on a mission! Objective: to secure the savory goodness that is the Valencia paella, made up of bomb saffron rice, chorizó, marinated chicken, clams, shrimp, and seabass. Mission accomplished; the paella did not disappoint! We paired our paella with hibiscus rose and pineapple saffron cocktails. I would recommend the pineapple saffron the most! The only thing that caught me by surprise was the price of the paella, because I looked at an old menu that showed it for far less. I should have checked the website menu, as that is accurate. Ate here fireside with my hubby. Such a nice hotel and ambiance. We were lucky because there was no one else sitting here with us! I much preferred eating outside because it was quite loud inside. When eating outside, you get the same menu, you can still hear the music, and it is romantic! Food wise, the meal was okay. A bit pricey, but expected at this hotel since it is a more fancy hotel. The waitress was really great, but they do give service a bit slower outside than if you are eating in the actual restaurant. This didn't really bother us though since we had no where to go and planned to just relax outside for the evening. We got the chicken sandwich with the sweet potato tots as the soup! I love coming here for some appetizers and drinks. I typically sit outside to enjoy the view and have a few drinks. I've never had the food here but i'm sure it's great. The staff is wonderful! I reccomend getting the saffron drink. It is an absolutely beautiful resort, just like all the other Omnis. If you are traveling from outside the US, i will say compared to other Omnis, it's a step down in quality. read more

I give the ambiance a 5 star; the Omni did a phenomenal job of creating an authentic Andalusian environment. The architecture, the background music, and of course, the restaurant. Regarding the food, I'd give it 4.5 stars to be precise. The tapas are flavorful and really good. I didn't find anything that wasn't pleasant. Lamb chops are probably my favorite with the octopus coming in second. As for the Paella, I've had the squid ink and the lobster. Both are packed with meats- they're definitely not cheap on that. I have to give the paella a 4 star. There is no flavor of paprika or saffron. Two HUGE ingredients of Spain and of course, paella. It's not a matter of preference. The paella is still delicious but I simply just don't get the full experience of how I've always had my paella's in Spain- both home made by my family and at tapas restaurants. Again, a delicious paella but not all the flavors I'm looking for. Wonderful spot for date nights and they have some of the best dessert I've had in Arizona! I always come back for more. read more

I was treated to what I thought would be a wonderful Christmas dinner. We had a 5:15 reservation and we were the only people in the restaurant at that time. The wait staff are very nice and accommodating but the food service was horrible. It was a torturous experience waiting for each course. It took 2 hours to get our entree and it would have been longer if I hadn't said that we need to be somewhere else that evening. I have dined here before and it was not like this. I also think some of the courses were skimpy, like the salad. i also have a milk allergy and so of course i couldn't have any dessert, even though i tell them in advance about my allergy. For the outrageous price for this fixed menu, it was really quit disappointing and this visit sealed the deal for never returning. read more

Restaurant Week and this was the choice this time! This restaurant is beautiful and we were able to snatch outdoor patio seats watching the sunset. Three course menu included: albondigas, seafood paella bites, scallops, prime rib, cheesecake and bread pudding. Me and hubby obviously shared. First of all the establishment is absolutely beautiful. Parking is easy (inside the garage) and it's inside a hotel/resort. They had a system issue where they couldn't process credit cards, but Jonathan (the server) and the manager were extremely courteous and sorted out the situation quickly, making us feel really grateful considering that we were in Arizona just for vacation for 2 days. Menu is large but not overwhelming. We ordered the bread, brussels sprouts and a paella, and all were very good. We stayed at the Omni so sat at the bar and had some drinks and apps. Our first bartender greeted us quickly and poured us a very good but slightly small martini. Still, it was very good. The couple next to us got two very full martinis from another bartender. Fine. It happens. Then for the rest of the night the bartender who poured the big drinks (taller and less hair than our first),"helped" us, and man, I dunno what he thinks we did or said, but we both could tell he wanted no part of us. He got us drinks. Got us food. But it was clear he'd have rather thrown them on us. So that kinda sucked. The Paella Arancini was very good I thought. My wife, not so much. She ordered a charcuterie board with cheese and meat and...three very small slices of bread?? (Photo minus one slice included). We asked our angry bartender for more and we got it cus...well, I guess he felt he had to. The decor and atmosphere were very nice and exciting. The live music was fun. I can't give two stars cus of one guy so three it is for our only time at Prado. read more

We went to Prado (this is our second time at Prado) on 3/12/2023 for dinner at 615PM reservation time. We left with the feelings of how awful the service was at Prado. When we say awful, it truly is awful. For a supposedly "fine dining" restaurant, the service/service staff was very bad. The positive things of this dining events were: * The food was great! We love the Valencia, the pork, the steak. Everything was tasty. * The wine selection was good. The bad things: 1. After we sat down, after the water was served by someone. Our server just suddenly appeared out of nowhere and asked, "what do you wanna drink?" He did not introduce himself, did not ask if we want a wine menu, just "what do you wanna drink?" Well, we asked for a wine menu. 2. We finished with our appetizers; the used small appetizer plates were not removed from the table first at the time of our entrees were presented. Are used appetizer plates supposed to be all over the table when guests are to eat their main entrees? 3. My family ordered steak, pork and chicken; none of them was given a steak knife that can actually cut a piece of meat, there were just butter knives on the table. I had to specifically asked for a knife that cut a piece of meat. 4. And most infuriating of all, this is my brother-in-law and sister-in-law 35th anniversary, I told the server specifically this is their 35th anniversary, very important, he said "ok, got it." Well, to our disappointment, there was not a single offering of any sort of small desert or something small to make them feel special. We chose Prado to celebrate their 35th anniversary. I left feeling very upset. I don't mind that we are forced to pay 20% tips for this horrendous service on a 650 dollars bill for 6 people if the service was good. In hindsight, we should have chosen Steak 44, Ocean 44, Element at the Sanctuary, etc. I hope your management fix this problem. read more

Absolutely delicious! Each item we ordered tasted so good. The chicken was tender and couscous was flavorful. The lomo was cooked to perfection. Pulpo was smoky. It was not spongy. So good. We came here for a day at the spa. We kicked off our visit to Prado for brunch. Love the place and the surroundings. We were greeted right away and had the choice to sit inside or outside. I chose inside since it was a little warm still. The server was a little slow in drinks, refills, getting the bill, and she forgot to bring a drink. She was hard to flag down or get attention of. I ordered the ham and cheese omlette, it was ok. Bland, just bearly cooked to done and just not too great. The potatoes were not fully cooked, still crunchy. Meh... read more
