I've been going to Postino for years. I've been to four or five of their locations in Houston. And one in Phoenix prior to Postino Arcadia. What makes Postino Arcadia special is that it's the original! Many years ago, Postino bought a building which used to be a post office...hence "Postino." I stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. We didn't have any problems parking in their complimentary lot. Ambiance (4.5/5): The vibes at Postino are always solid. Think trendy while still maintaining a laid-back/hipster feel to a degree. It works. We sat at a booth in one corner of the restaurant close to the bar. Service (4.5/5): Friendly service. Our waitress was great. She was attentive and stopped by regularly. The restaurant wasn't busy when we were there (it was close to close) but she still did great. They check you out using those handheld devices which I'm not a fan of, but outside of that, great. Drinks (4/5): Postino is known for their wine. In fact, it was the place where I tried orange wine for the first time. While they're known for their wine, they also have beer and cocktails. This time around, I didn't feel like drinking so I went with a prickly pear lemonade. Very Arizona! It hit the spot. Postino is also known for their board and bottle deal where you can get a bottle and a board for a nice discount. Check out their website for the day/time. Food (4/5): I went with the grilled cheese which is served with a cup of tomato basil soup. With that being said, a lot of people order their boards or bruschettas. You won't see hearty items on the menu, their stuff is on the lighter side. But it's quality. A bit overpriced for what you get, but good. It was time for some deep conversations with my girlfriends about many life happenings so of course we chose Postino. We arrive just a few minutes before happy hour started and they allowed us to order our drinks under happy hour pricing so we really appreciated that. And of course we had to start with a creative bruschetta board. I ended up adding their regular creamy tomato basil soup as it's one of my favorites my friends had the meatballs and a kale salad. Everything was wonderfully flavored as usual. We never felt rushed and service was excellent. I appreciate that they aren't aggressive about turning tables. My friends and I have dined at this location many times! Our group is normally 8 to 12 people so the fact that they are able to accommodate us on a busy Saturday every single time is worthy of noting. The service is quick. The staff is very friendly. And how can you not love the $6 beer pitcher / glass of wine deal? We are very excited to try the battle of bruschetta this summer! Literally the only downside is the minimal parking - the lot is very small so there have been times that I have shown up and had to drive all the way back home and Uber back lol. Tried this spot after years of the Scottsdale location. Unfortunately, it was a total disappointment in comparison. The service was extremely poor, we watched as numerous tables had to flag down the host or food runner to place an order after being unattended for so long. The new herb french fries that tasted absolutely delicious at the scottsdale location were some of the worst I've ever had here; greasy and lacking any flavor. Bar fries taste better. They also brought out a bruschetta we did not order and had to wait to get the one we did order. After the meal, it took 15 minutes to try and pay, as there was no one around. I love the Scottsdale location's hospitality, service, ambience, and good quality much more. If this was the first time ever trying a Postino, I would likely not return. read more

Yesterday, a dear friend and I visited Postino Wine Café on Campbell Avenue to celebrate her birthday, and once again, the experience reinforced why this is such a dependable favorite of mine. We originally had reservations to sit outside, but it turned out to be too cold. The team accommodated us inside immediately and with ease, which set the tone right from the start. That kind of flexibility and customer-first mindset never goes unnoticed. I had received an email offering a bruschetta Board, but I was unfortunately a bit too late to redeem it. Even so, the restaurant went above and beyond by honoring it, and they also treated my friend to a free dessert for her birthday. It felt genuine and thoughtful. Our waitress was incredibly attentive--present, warm, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious, just as I've come to expect from Postino. The music was a little louder than usual, but everything else was truly excellent. I frequent Postino, and they consistently deliver on service, quality, and atmosphere. Postino has been a favorite restaurant for my wife and me for so long! From happy hours, brunches, late night snacks, and even our first date, we have been to every Position location in the Greater Phoenix area. The taste of food is great, the locations are convenient, and there are some great deals and promotions. We went this weekend to Postino Arcadia for a date night, and like usual, we were quite impressed! We made a reservation in advance on their website, and we were able to sit down without any wait. The host and serving staff were all very helpful and considerate. Being 6:30 PM on a Friday evening, we didn't know if we should expect it to be very busy or quite empty (as it was summertime). It turned out to be moderately busy, and we found a self-parking spot right away in the parking lot. There were more open spots when we arrived than when we left. There are valet options in addition to the self-parking though (but we didn't need them). We met one of the servers and asked for recommendations as we were craving a bruschetta board (four toasts each cut into four pieces) along with a grilled cheese with tomato soup. We knew three of the four bruschetta options we were going to choose but struggled choosing the last one, so the server offered to bring us the one we don't choose to try. We also didn't want bacon on the grilled cheese and asked about a meat substitute. While there was a charge for any additional substitute, we just decided we didn't need the meat in the first place with the bruschetta coming, too. The food was all delicious as usual and arrived rather quickly. We don't know how this location's food and service could be any better! We have signed up for the ePosse and have enjoyed receiving birthday promotions including a free dessert as well as something special for our Postino anniversary. Or instead of Postino, it can be used at other Upward Projects restaurants including Windsor, Federal Pizza, or Joyride Taco. Happy hours are also great daily until 5 PM with $6 wine by the glass or pitchers of beer. On Monday and Tuesday evenings after 8 PM, you can order a full bottle of wine and a bruschetta board for only $25. We love Postino and will be back!! read more

I took myself on another solo date to Postino! Parking here is tough - if you want to park in the actual lot. If you go far enough you can park on the side streets/in the surrounding neighborhood. I found a place that lets you park after 6pm! There was an open spot at the bar so I sat myself and was promptly greeted by the bar tender. He gave me a menu and told me the chef selection of the day. I ordered my classic honey cucumber lemonade (seriously so good, tart and sweet). I had a gluten free board with the French onion (I've been wanting to try this and I looove it; the cheese is divine and the caramelized onions are sweet and just yum), the mushroom and mascarpone (a newer top contender of mine, so savory and the mushrooms are cooked perfectly - I don't like when they're super chewy), the chef selection of goat cheese with chives and tomato jam (reminded me of the pepper jam and goat cheese but I do like this one a little better, slightly sweeter but had a good balance with the tangy goat cheese and chives), and the warm artichoke (I was obsessed with this and maybe I've had it too much but I don't really like it anymore! This didn't hit the mark, it was a little dry). It was a very pleasant experience of me reading my book, eating some good food, and just enjoying the atmosphere. I could eat the entire menu and be happy at Postino and this location hits it spot on. The vibes are adorable and the patio is lovely. The team is all friendly and works as a group in service and 90% of the time it leads to awesome service (on off days it does lead to being ignored but anyone can help if you can get someone's attention which is so great) and getting to meet a handful of wonderful employees during your visit. The Brie with fig jam sandwich is one of my favorites and I always love the French onion bruschetta or soup. I LOVED the carrot curry which isn't something I would normally pick at all and I dream of it still months later. This most recent visit I had the focaccia stack and it was really good. Postino's is hands down one of my favorite places. I love this location, been here a few times and always find parking no problem. They have a great indoor and outdoor area too. I was excited to try their seasonal menu since they just recently rolled out cocktails, and the espresso martini was great! I typically like mine a little creamy, which this one wasn't, but it was still sweet and unique. I also tried an aperol spritz which was very good, but I wanted a more fruity flavor so I asked for blackberry puree and added it in, and it was SO good. I always get a Bruschetta board with salmon & pesto, prosciutto & fig, tomato bacon burrata, and spicy pepper jam, which was phenomenal. We also had the roasted cauliflower which is one of my favorites. I tried the donuts for dessert which were pretty good, they were not as sweet as I expected them to be but it comes with 3 different sauces (chocolate, caramel, and vanilla | believe) which made up for the sweetness. I also tried the cookie sundae which was pretty good, but I was hoping for more of like a warm cookie skillet, but it was more of a broken cookie with waffle cone, fudge sauce, ice cream and cookie drizzle on top. This was my first time at Postino Arcadia. It surely wouldn't be the last. Went in for breakfast. But, sadly, they stop serving breakfast at 2 PM. Took me a while to decide. When I finally did, the waitress let me know that it was their popular item. I had the Nine Iron panini. There wasn't a drop of it left on my plate. I topped it up with an English Breakfast tea. Service was great - ny waitress welcomed me with a beautiful smile. Each staff that walked by my table asked, also with a smile, if I/everything was okay and/or if I needed anything else. The ambiance was eclectic and inviting. Though I went alone, Postino Arcadia is also a perfect atmosphere for a date/romantic dinner. To top it all up, because it was my first time there, I was given a dessert (Hot Donut Dots) on the house. The accompanying dipping sauces were just what the doctor ordered for the donut dots. Stopped in to have a glass of wine with a colleague and discuss business -- and was immediately impressed. We had the meatballs and goat cheese appetizers, and two different types of bruschetta; two different wines (a Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile and a Marine Layer Aries Chardonnay, from California... perfectly chilled. The food was superlative. The quality of the food caused us to talk more about the food than the business we'd met to discuss -- and we chatted with our server to do a little reconnaissance (for Date Night with my partner). Excellent service, by the way: attentive without being cloying, intrusive, or annoying. We weren't interrupted while talking business or telling tall-tale war stories, yet our water classes were never empty, and our wine glasses were kept "full" (at the proper pour level). The staff was warm and engaging. Sometimes when restaurants get busy, people are all business until it's time to present the check. Yanno? Tips? Not here. The people who operate this restaurant obviously want you to feel welcome, something I really haven't seen in Phoenix, but well remember from Mama Leone's in New York.
