Went here for a quick mani ($9.00!!!) earlier today and wish I had committed to the mani/pedi for $25.00. Even as I write this I'm staring at my sad little unpolished toes sadly. The place was clean and the ladies that work there weren't overly talkative. I don't know what it is, but i usually want to zone out when I'm getting my nails done, not talk about what I do for a living (I save that gossip for the hair salon). Seriously, silence is indeed golden in these cases. Anyways, my nails look great, the place is clean, and my manicurist definitely took her time on my crappy, dejected nails. I waited till a weekday to go to this neighborhood place because you get a mani/pedi for $25 M-Th! Holy value. There's a place that's a block closer but it looked a little cheap and yet was the same price as this place. Anyway, the interior was pleasant, the ladies nice and patient. They had great massage chairs that actually worked and were clean. The mani/pedi was excellent and they took care to file, clean, polish appropriately. They also do a little leg scrub/massage. I wouldn't be me if I didn't immediately mess up the job on one of my toes and the woman doing mine, Gloria, was very patient and nice. She redid it without so much as a frown! Then the mani was quick and nice -- again all the care as for the pedi. A teasingly short hand-massage with warm towel service was also nice. Then when it was time to go to the dryer, they tease you again with a one-minute back massage. Still, I melted like butter. This was just a great place and I will continue to patronize and recommend it! Yay! read more

I came here this afternoon with my sister. Overall, my experience was poor. The job was rushed and sloppy--the previous layer of nail polish was still remaining when the ladies were through "cleaning." when the new polish was applied, the old layer was visible, making for a messy looking pedicure. Little time was spent on the actual cleaning of the nails and one lady in particular emitted an incredibly negative Energy. She made me feel like i was an inconvenience. She rushed through the job and when I asked her to remove the polish ( that ended up on my skin) she insisted it was part of my nail. She then proceeded to forcefully remove the excess polish with her fingernail and jabbed me quite forcefully. I will not be back. read more

I had the honor to have Eugene do my first ever gel manicure and oh my god it was the best experience ever! I never had a nail tech who put so much time and perfection into their craft as Eugene did. Eugene cared about every single step and refused to clean my cuticles uncles they were soaked and the process would be painless. Eugene was not rough at all and for the first time in a long time my cuticles are looking great. I wish I was rich I would give a $100 tip. I will be coming back for nails by Eugene soon! read more

I have mixed feelings about this salon. My manicure was horrible. I think she neglected to do a top coat, because it took about 30 minutes to dry, and it still smudged. My manicure looked terrible within hours, I might as well have wiped my butt with that money and flushed it. That being said my 5-year-old's manicure looked great and lasted about a week! (Which Is saying something, because she's very active.) A $7 well spent. So it's hit or miss. The overall experience was not comfortable or warm. I felt like they wanted us out. Kathy did my manicure and pedicure. Through out the entire process I had to guide her what to do. She barely touched my feet, posed as if she were cutting my cuticles, didn't cut much. I had to find a new place to get my nails done since I've moved over to the east side. I came here once with some coworkers. They have a great deal here Mondays through Thursday a mani and pedi for $25! I would say in Manhattan that is quite the deal. I come here now as my go to nail place. They do a great job and is very clean here. I also like the fact that the ladies aren't super talkative. Mani time is my relaxation time. The owner is super sweet as well. read more

I really need to learn how to do my own nails at home...have to master it because the Service at most nail salons now is awful...bring back the old school way doing nails and pedicures please because last time I checked they push your cuticle and shape your nails that way...I took cosmetology and this ain't it!!! Quick, unprofessional service... The woman didn't do a good job and seemed to hate her job.

I've been here dozens of times and want to love this place. I want this place to be my go-to nail salon because I live across the street. (Hop, skip and a jump, no joke!) They have a pretty big operation here with several manicurists at a time. But time and time again, I've been disappointed by their service. The foot scrubs are inconsistent (sometimes great and sometime not-so-great, sometimes even wondering if I even GOT a foot scrub), manicures are a hit and miss (depends on who you get here) and prices are just so-so. Yes, they do have a great midweek special but I hardly get a chance to pop in for a mani/pedi on weekday evenings. The only time I get a good manicure (especially french mani) has been with the Korean owner. I keep thinking it'll be better next time but that next time hasn't come, yet... read more

I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and didn't have to wait at all to be seated for a mani and pedi. Kathy was extremely meticulous and gave a wonderful massage. The atmosphere is super relaxing and everyone there is so nice. I may never go any place again. read more

Place is good. The massage chairs are indeed really nice, and so is the decor. Mostly Asian and Hispanic ladies working, the usual found in a salon. It is really clean, and a good experience. I wish they had just spent more time on my leg massage, but they definitely spent that time making sure my color was painted on three times. I mostly Yelp about food but when I have a really bad experience somewhere, I feel compelled to warn others. Recent mani/pedi here = terrible. The girl hacked off my nails, didn't know how to file, had a bad attitude, gave a mediocre paint job and a lousy 5 second back rub (literally 5 seconds) at the drying station. I thought that part MIGHT be her redeeming quality, but alas she was all-around awful. Other items of note: polishes were not neatly arranged, bottles were sticky (and the manager Sophia was just sitting around so she had time to straighten up that area), color selection is lacking, I was swatting at a fly while getting my pedicure, tools looked dirty, foot scrub-brush was not disposable. My sister goes here because "they're cheap" but I wouldn't go back here if the manicure was free. read more

Made manicure and pedicure for an about 31 $, they nail polish came of on the way back home, even though i dried for 45 minuets. They didn't do anything with cutikula, i asked to move back, not cut it. They just put nail polish on top, that everyone toughed that i made manicure myself, because it was look sloppy and unprofessional. read more

Polishes are mostly old. They are constantly diluting them, which makes the polish chip quicker once on your nails. They do not sanitize their pedicure sinks - they do a quick wipe which does nothing as far as cleaning . They have one manicurist who is constantly rolling her eyes and sighing as if someone is forcing her to do your nails or as if you're getting it for free. I've been there a dozen times because I live on the block so it's just too convenient but the last time I was there a mouse ran through the store and when a customer yelled (she got startled) all the workers just laughed and talked in their language. I give up on this place. It's time to stop going to places that put no effort into earning your patronage. read more

I am bald and have stopped by this place a few times for a ten minute massage. They refused to give me one every time. When I wore a wig, they said it was fine. This is not a medical liability issue, it is sitting in a chair and having your shoulders rubbed- they have done this before. I tried going in today and they pushed me out and so my fiancé went in and they told him they could give him a back/shoulder massage if he came back in ten minutes. The unfortunate thing is that this place used to give great shoulder massages. I would never get a pedicure from this place because they are very unsanitary and it's gross... but most of all they are extremely rude and judgmental. This place made me feel horrible and I strongly advise everyone to never go! read more

NEVER EVER GOING TO THIS NAIL SALON EVER AGAIN. My friend and I usually go to a nail salon on 94/Lex but it was packed at the time, so we decided to try this place, now called Precious Nail Salon, and was not pleased with the service AT ALL. The ladies were old and rude, and rushed EVERYTHING... even rushed us out though the salon wasn't busy?! It's no wonder the place was empty when we first arrived. I was disgusted when they use PAPER TOWEL to set your feet on the stool (I mean... seriously? Can't afford towels?) and massaged my legs for literally 5 seconds. While my friend and I were getting our nails dry, the lady demanded us to pay as soon as we sat down, and decided to choose how much to tip -who does that?! That wasn't all... while drying our nails 10 minutes in, the old asian lady came up to us so rudely and said, "You can leave now." Uhhhhh..... excuse me? If I had it my way, I would've tipped A DOLLAR for the horrible service and for the RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF EVER. I would NOT recommend this place at all!
