I wish to commend Hector, he came out on his way home, let me backup, my neighbor Wally Chimel called Precision to come and check his door which was installed a few weeks ago, I had referred Mr Chimel to your company because you have done work for my husband and I. So any way, Mr Chimel called to have his door looked at and I had commented to him that my new door was making a popping sound and he asked if I would like for him to send the repairman down to me when they got done with him, I said no I would call and make an appointment. Long story short, Hector came out ,I thought he had finished with my neighbor Mr Chimel and came over as a courtesy to look at my door, well Hector found the problem with my door fixed it and went on his way, little did I know that Hector came to the "wrong" address by mistake and Mr Chimel had to call again and Taylor came out and fixed Mr Chimel's new door. All in all, Mr Chimel and I got our doors repaired. Mr Chimel and I had quite a laugh over this but we both agree that Precision Garage will continue to get our business and we will refer you to all of our friends and other neighbors about your company, as a matter of fact I tell all the people I work with at Torrance Unified School District when anyone asks if I know someone who can fix, repair or install garage doors, I tell them to call Precision Garage Door and give them your phone number. I looked at Precisions web site after a neighbor mentioned them to me. As soon as I saw that they take care of garage emergencies I called them. A cable broke and my door was stuck, not up or down, leaving 3 to 4 feet of open space for critters or thieves to crawl under and make themselves at home or help themselves to our tools. I called in the late afternoon and true to their advertising they sent someone out that same day. A very nice, polite, pleasant and professional young man named Kevin Hercules showed up and evaluated the damage, realized it was going to be a two man job and said he'd come back the next day with a second guy. Here is the only problem I encountered. Someone in charge of scheduling sent Kevin back the next day but ALONE again. He did his best but knew, as he'd known the day before ,that this job needed two. This was a Friday. I called the office to straighten this out and another very helpful young man, Noah, offered to send someone the next day but I said I could wait until after the weekend. Early Monday morning Kevin came back and Andre came with him. They got right to work and had the door back to normal within a few hours. They fixed what could be fixed, replaced parts that were destroyed and didn't give me the hard sell to try to make me buy anything I didn't need, like a new door. I appreciate that a lot. Kevin and Andre are both excellent young men, assets to the company, and the reason I give a 5 star rating. (Noah too) I paid nothing until the job was done. read more

Sergio was literally a lifesaver! Our garage door decided to malfunction last night around 5:30 as most places were closed and/or closing. I tried Precision and was connected to the dispatcher/scheduler who informed me they have an emergency service after hours. The price was more than reasonable given the last minute request. I received a text showing me where our specialist was and I was able to see in real time how far away he was. I also received a photo and name of the specialist which I thought was a great safety feature! Sergio arrived and explained to me in layman terms on what was happening with our garage door. He also provided some options for me to consider. The prices were reasonable but more importantly, it was Sergio that made what started as a stressful situation into a pleasant one. All to say, we ended up going with one of his options and now have a WAY better garage system then we had before. We even had neighbors pop by to ask him for a business card! Thank you, Sergio! After initially coming out the same day to replace our existing spring system, the job took 3 hours longer than expected and was left a mess. Holes in the wall, grease smudges all over the white ceiling, and most importantly lag bolts not screwed all the way in and on top of one another. After speaking to the installer multiple times he never showed up to fix the issues. I will be calling to complain. Initial service time was great and the installer was very nice, however the job itself was below average and the fact he never showed when he was supposed to come back makes this hard to recommend. I'd try somewhere else. UPDATE: Kevin came out a few days later and made it right. Did a good job and was extremely nice and professional. Initially 2 stars but I'll bump it up to 4 based on Kevin's customer service and eagerness to make sure we were happy with the job. read more

This was the second time that Precision Garage Door has worked on my garage door. The first time, I needed to replace most of the parts and they did a great job with that. This time, I broke the garage door myself. This happened on a Friday night and I couldn't close the door. I called Precision and they luckily had someone on call for garage door emergencies. A technician was scheduled for 630pm. The technician Eric called and he arrived an hour early. Eric was very detailed and told me that there were a few things he would like to do to make the door even stronger. He not only fixed the problem that I had created, he actually made the door stronger and safer. The original setup was fine, but he went the extra mile to make sure it was better than fine. I would definitely recommend Precision Garage and more specifically Eric for garage door repairs. read more

We had two garage door installation consultations on the same day. The first company's representative was okay. Our second consultation was an hour later with Larry Chen from Precision, and he was excellent. What a difference! Larry was professional, patient, (my wife kept changing her mind), and just a pleasure to work with. When I expressed concern about the quality of the garage door opener's camera, he took the time to pull up his own garage door opener's camera view on his phone to show us how good the 1080p resolution is. When Larry explained features, benefits, warranty, pricing and answered all our questions, my wife and I knew right away that we were going with Precision. I have to say I was very upset knowing I needed work done on my garage door, and wasn't looking forward to hearing it or what it would cost me. The window for arrival was 8:00 am-10:00 am. Eric Stevens arrive at 8:08 am. He was prompt, professional and very pleasant. After he accessed the problem, he gave me several options to ease my nerves. He answered all my questions and showed me everything that needed repairing or replaced. Eric had to begin working around two full size cars because my garage door wouldn't even go up. Moving in to my new condo 2 years ago, I had to replace the motor for my garage door, and all the garage door mechanisms were screaming to be replaced. While there was a lull in my activities recently, tuning up the garage door was vital. Precision had sent a coupon to the previous owner, so I just knew that Precision had 'seen' this door before. When Josh came out, he inspected the door, and then came to me with his recommendations for updating the materials of my door. Anthony of Precision Garage Door inspected our garage opener which stopped working after 22+ years. He explained our options and we decided on the belt-drive Liftmaster. He installed the new garage opener, inspected the rollers and adjusted the spring. He also programmed our cars to open the garage including our cell phone. garage door had a broken tension spring. Unable-to manual open garage door. Made an appointment with Precision Garage Door Service for the next day. Service Technician Mitch came the next day. After inspecting the garage door Mitch recommended changing the spring, replacing ball bearings and replacing the garage door opener (20 years old). When our garage door opener broke it was a good excuse to replace the one piece door as well. The next day Kyle came by measured and gave me styles and prices he was very helpful. My garage door "bowed" and wouldn't go up or down. It was late one evening so I had to make a next day appointment. I was told a tech would arrive between 12p and 4p. Matt arrived right at 12p. He gave me 3 options on fixing and/or upgrading the door. I chose one that required parts he didn't have with him. He said he'd get them and be back in 90 minutes.
