This credit union has to be the most ridiculous credit union ever. They don't own a money counter and count all the cash by hand meaning, they don't verify if the bills you bring are even real or not because a teller can easily mess up and confuse a fake bill for a real one. I just deposited cash and we had to hand count everything because the money counter is non existent. You can't just go and deposit and have your money ran through the money counter. And if you are taking in large sums of cash be prepared to be there for a REALLY long time counting everything. Good thing I only deposited 4K but even 4K in all bill denominations was such a waste of time. Worse bank or "credit union" ever. Use the atm, skip the teller and their attitude. read more

Once again an issue came up with my card when traveling. Since I only use the Asbury branch I called and was on hold for just a few minutes. Person came on and directed me to another employee with in the Asbury branch. Total time on phone from start to having them advise me of situation was probably less than 10 mins. I opened an account a while ago because I heard good things about credit unions but my experience with PCU has been very poor and I'm looking elsewhere now. I applied for a car refinance loan and the agent helping me wouldn't let me get a word in, kept rushing me and talking over me every time we discussed the loan. Not a good experience at all. I don't like being rushed about a loan and not being able to get a word in conversation-wise because the agent is talking in a frenzied hurry all of the time and talking over me. Scheduling a call to speak to a rep from the website feature is hit or miss. Sometimes I get a call back or sometimes I don't and I've wasted my time siting and expecting a call. My loan agent didn't follow up with me about my loan. I was in contact with my agent until he disappeared all of a sudden and I didn't hear anything from him over a week. I finally got a letter in the mail saying that my loan was rejected. Pretty classless to ghost a member and leave them hanging for a week. read more

[Was one star] They just implemented some new security restrictions for online accounts. They have two phone numbers listed for two factor logging in, but I don't want to use either of those numbers, I want to add a new number, but there's no way to do that. So I call, and I just spent 35 min on hold with no one answering the phone. Not acceptable. I didn't ask for the new restrictions, and I don't want them, bu even though I am the customer, I have no choice. So now I can't get into MY account. [Changed to 4 stars] I did the call back thing, and it did take another hour, but a human being actually called me back, and helped to take care of the issue. So even though this was an unwelcome annoyance, it didn't inconvenience me too much in the end. I've actually been a member here for sheesh, maybe 30 years now. Worst experience ever getting a 1st mortgage on a paid off house. Took almost 4 and 1/2 months. I had to step in on a lien that was 30 years old they could not resolve. I fixed it in 4 days. Then two other liens had expired because Ca. has a 10 yr law that property liens expire. I paid one lien and paid for a bond I didn't need to. I'm surprised they didn't know that or the title company. Poor communication and follow up. I could go on. read more

Can not trust PCU. My check was deposit more than 8 days and my PCU acct was shown the fund was available to use. But when I tried to withdraw, they said I can not withdraw and the put longer hold on my check. I verified with the bank that the check from, the check was deposited to PCU 7 days ago. I don't think it's possible for a bank to be 5-stars, but this is probably as close as you're going to get. I have never had a problem here with bad customer service, unnecessary fees or any other such nonsense. Here is a rundown of my favorite things about this bank: 1) You can use any ATM in ANY 7-11 for free! That alone is worth the price of admission. I hate being charged $2-4 just to access my own cash from a competitors ATM, and seeing as there's a 7-11 on just about every other corner this feature comes in handy very regularly. 2) Great online features: their app is simple and easy to use and their website is very well put together and gives you a lot of different things you can do there. 3) Great customer service. I've never had a bad experience with their tellers. They're always polite, knowledgeable and friendly. 4) Members can get discount tickets to all kinds of attractions (i.e, movie tickets, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Disneyland, Great America, etc.); most of the tickets are just $3-5 off- hey, a buck-is-a-buck-is-a-buck! - but some of the discounts can be pretty substantial. For example you can save over $50 on a 3-Day Park Hopper Pass at Disneyland. That's at least one tank of gas! 5) Seeing as how this used to be San Jose Credit Union (for CSJ employees) there's always plenty of our boys in blue stopping in so you never have to worry about this place being robbed. read more

I went to this branch since my printer/scanner was on the outs, she took the time out of her day to scan everything and send it to another department within this credit union that the woman who was processing my paperwork. She was so sweet and helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the process(even though she was not the one who was in the loan department). If it wasn't for her and Amparo, I would have left and taken my business somewhere else. I had a bad experience with the person who was originally doing my loan paperwork there(Wont name any names). We have been PremierOne Credit Union members for a number of years and have always appreciated the great customer service we experienced from all the associates in a number of the branches we used. Recently we found ourselves in the the middle of a real estate transaction that we did not adequately prepare for. Daniel Valentin, the Branch Manager of the Princeton Plaza Office literally came to our rescue. Not only did he provide the necessary paperwork to complete the transaction he personally walked us through the process, and explained a number of the confusing routing and naming conventions to wire the money to complete the transfer. I hate this bank! I was promised a great Interest rate based on my great credit and history of having a loan through with them previously and paying it off early... I called to get verification on the APR rate, then drive 4 hours to the dealership and come to find out they change the APR rate on me dont honor the previous one, nor the fact of my great history with them, on top of which the asshole person on the phone, she was rude and fuckin hangs up on me, I go to call back and everyone is "gone" for the day! I fuckin hate this bank I hope they go under! The customer service is outstanding at this branch. I've dealt with the credit union's manager, loan officer, and other staff members. They are always friendly and helpful. Recently, I've gotten a car loan from them. The loan service was efficient, and the loan officer was very responsive. I got my money quickly to buy my truck. I was so pleased with the service.
