TLDR; Great co-op CU with a nice location, good customer service, proper COVID protocols, and quick and efficient service. Easy to get cashiers checks with a fee of $5/check. This Credit Union (CU) is conveniently located right next to TJ Maxx/HomeGoods. There is plenty of parking. Another popular CU nearby closed at 4:00pm on a Thursday afternoon, so I was happy to find that PremierOne was open a little later. They are following COVID protocols. All staff were wearing masks, there was plexiglass separators at each station, and there were decals on the floor, 6 feet apart. I have an account with a CU that does not have locations in California, so I was looking for a co-op CU where I could get a cashiers check. When I was arrived, someone mentioned they would be right with me since there were a couple people ahead of me. The lady helping was very kind and professional as well. Overall, customer service was great. The process of getting cashiers checks was super quick and easy. I just had to provide my member number (for my CU), show them my drivers license, verify my last 4 of my SSN, and tell them the amount and who to write the check out to. There is a $5 fee per check which is super reasonable. I've heard of places charging $10-15. Overall, it was a great experience! read more

I've been banking with PremierOne Credit Union for over 4 years, primarily due to the loan I have out on my car. I try not to make too many visits to the branch due to there being limited locations and YES I am that damn lazy. Luckily for me, my transactions can be done online. My trip out to a local branch was the best way for me to pay off my loan and close out my account. This particular bank is located in Almaden Plaza, in Building F where TJ Maxx resides. Parking was absolutely horrendous. Keep in mind that my visit just so happened to be during the lunch rush & because the holiday season is upon us.... I anticipated this. Come here mentally prepared people!! The business is very small in size and offers one ATM machine outside. Service is quicker than I expected so don't alarmed by a possible long line. Normally give this branch a 4+ star review because most of the time they are quick and make a solid effort to assist customers... however, they've recently started locking their door prior to that is time listed as their "closing time" (business hours posted on front entrance). Last time I was able to make a couple minutes before their posted closing time. I hustled to the door and tried the handle at 5:58. Door was locked, they said "Sorry we're closed". I asked what time they were open until & someone responded through the glass door, "We're open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.".. l looked at my phone and showed the employee that it was still 5:59, then told her I just needed to make one quick deposit. I was referred by my brother and to ask for Daniel Valentin the Branch manager. Daniel Valentin has helped me out so much with car loans and take out my first Credit Card at 20 years old. I've seen my credit grow and every time I go I'm welcomed by the staff. I would also love to say an employee named Dora is very helpful and helped me get another loan recently. Horatio was so friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to have me in and out in jif! This credit union has on multiple occasions lied to me and told me that they would get back to me by a certain time, and then stalls me until after they close for the day. Today the branch manager for the Almaden Branch said to me that they would get back to me within 5 minutes, and of course never did call me back. I do not know how they are able to stay in business. I have had 3 loans with this credit union, all paid timely, and they still treat me like dirt. read more

Too bad negative stars are not warranted. Went in to change a teen/parent acct into a checking acct, turned away because the expiration date on ID card had passed (3 days). We were told to come back with passport, which we did. After waiting 10 minutes for two of the employees to quit bickering back and forth about policies, we were turned away because they were "closed" (still 15 minutes before the posted time on door). San Jose Credit did themselves a disservice by merging with Premier. The service at this branch continues to plummet. Our banking needs are now being taken care of by Wells Fargo. I would highly recommend Edit Amir at the Almaden Branch inside Safeway... They will help you up to the last minute... And beyond if u were already in line.. And they are open Sundays. read more

I have been a member of Premier One Credit Union for over 10 years. A must to read!!! Months previous, I had taken out a personal loan through Premier One Credit Union. Was a very easy process. I was approved and funded. Last week I had a quick conversation with Nick, Banker Loan-Officer at the Almaden Expressway San Jose branch. I was frustrated that I had been paying $344 a month for my SUV financed through the auto-dealership, for the past 2 years. Nick said that he could help me to lower my monthly payment, refinancing my auto loan through Premier One. My situation had obstacles and I doubted that my refinance would be possible. Annette-CEO and Nick really took a great interest in my situation and was able to offer a refinance lowering my monthly payment of $344 per month through the auto-dealership loan to $175 through Premier One!!!! In need of financing for our home renovation, my wife and I turned to PremierOne Credit Union. Ironically, we heard about PremierOne through an acquaintance who worked at WellsFargo. I can say that the whole process literally could not have been easier. After filling out the online application, an agent (Ro) emailed me with news of our approval. Next up came the document submission process, which was simple in comparison to other times we've done such things. About 10 days after hearing of the initial approval, we signed the agreement and the financing was complete. It's worth mentioning that I came in a few weeks later to make a draw on the loan, and I was literally in and out of there in 5 minutes. Cynthia was amazing! I walked in 15 to close on Saturday and there was only 1 teller, Celine Trapani. She was doing her best to be pleasant and acknowlege those coming in. Our line grew from 2 to 7 quickly so two other workers came out of the back. One (not sure of her name) came and quickly began taking deposit or loan payment transactions, the other seemed to just hide until the line reached the door and it was 2pm (closing time). She was sitting at a desk with Leydi or leyli rodriguez card in a holder. She was the rudest teller I have ever encountered. She looked like she just rolled out of bed and did not greet me. In an effort to hurry my transaction, i told her i needed 7 century theater tickets and 120 in cash, but was rudely interrupted. She then proceeded to ask me again what i "wanted". Counted out tickets and money and said nothing more.. No "anything else i can help you with", "have a nice day", NOTHING! I would definitley avoid this center or wait for Celine to help you if you want decent service! read more

This location is AMAZING. I had the pleasure of interacting with Daniel on a loan here. He was very kind, professional and dedicated to finding the best option for my situation. To make a long story short he and the branch manager were able to work completely around a loan and find another way to get the money I needed.
