I'm not sure why, but Grant Rd. location really falls short of its sister location on Campbell. I used to love their biscuits and gravy. To me, they tasted like real homemade biscuits. Today, I asked for the gravy on the side and two over easy eggs over the biscuits. Today the biscuits were dry hard and crumbly almost stale tasting, and had been over toasted with hard spots of char. The gravy was inedible,devoid of sausage thin and super salty. The egg yolks were nearly completely cooked not over easy. The coffee was tepid but quickly replaced. The server (whom I assumed was the manager as they were toward the end of their operating hours and no other wait staff was around)offered to have it redone & said she would take it off the bill. I requested an untoasted biscuit to take home instead. But unfortunately, it is not the same quality biscuit that I have been used to. This is a great brekkie spot in Tucson with a nice outdoor patio seating option that is dog friendly or there is indoor seating. They have two locations and this one has a large parking lot attached. The whole experience was very good! Out waitress I believe her name was Madison, she was very sweet and did her job well. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. I loved how the biscuits had herbs and cheddar inside them, gave it more flavor! My girlfriend loved her omelette as well. The worst ever! Ordered 2 french toast orders. They brought 4 huge hunks of dry white bread, obviously no egg or batter, old pieces of berries scattered on our plates. When we got there last Wednesday (9/27) there were only a few tables full. As we sat down, we were asked what we wanted to drink. The person who asked was not the person who came back with the drinks. I got coffee. The original person then came back and asked if we knew what we wanted and we ordered. No one came to check on us in the time that we were there. It then dawned on me at the time of the check, the manager on duty was running our section and when she came to pick up my card, I never was given a check. She was even on her phone when she picked up my card. I was floored. Now I'm not sure why we were treated that way but it was really uncomfortable to sit there and wait for now a fourth person to return my card to me. I also did something I have not done in at least 15 years, I left no tip. I tried to call the next day to talk to someone about my experience but never got a call back. I always prefer to do that before coming on to Yelp but now it's been an additional 5 days with no call to rectify. So, here we are. We know this place is popping in Scottsdale, so we decided to try it out when we were in Tucson. I don't really prefer french toast as my brunch meal, but this was by far the best french toast I'd ever had! It was thick, fluffy, and so so flavorful. The cream tasted like both honey and orange - simply spectacular. The bestie got the everything croissant sammie with avocado in place of the prosciutto. It was enormous but she loved both the sandwich and the side of potatoes. On to the pastries! The selection was much larger at this location versus the Scottsdale location. I got the blackberry thyme donut since I was craving a donut and the bestie got the cinnamon role - both were immaculate. I was confused when I had taken several bites and there was no filling but turns out there was filling; it was just placed at the opposite end of the part I bit into lol.
