My last dentist I was with for 25yrs. The only reason I came to this lovely establishment was because my last dentist office moved offices. So a coworker recommended Presidental and I'm glad I came. The location is close to my job and 2 blocks away from my train ride home. The ladies at the receptionist desk were nice and welcoming. They have coffee or tea while u wait. I did my paperwork online so I did wait long at all. I went into 2 office both were very clean and very equipped. Even with patient monitors. That was actually my first doing that. My hygienist Tatiana was awesome with a light but thorough touch. She was sweet and informative, I did not feel uncomfortable at all. I do recommend A+ read more

I'm less picky about my dentists, but my wife has had issues with dentists in the past, and she's loved Dr. Figueroa and her staff from the start. I had my first visit at PresiDental Care and was truly impressed by the professionalism overall, starting from the welcoming and compassionate staff; to my consultation with Dr. Figueroa and subsequent procedures administered. Dr. Figueroa was so patient with me and my sensitivity to pain. She also explained all that showed up on my x-rays and was honest with my results, and what I needed to take care of. Above all, I had two issues that were pressing and that I had neglected, and Dr. Figueroa took care of me right away. Also, it took longer then expected due to my situation being more complicated then expected, and Dr. Figueroa and her lovely assistant stood by me and never left until all was completed. Throughout the whole experience, I was so grateful as I felt confident of being in the best of hands. I wish I had come here sooner as I'm sure that my issues might have been preventable. But I am so happy that I came when I did. I will be coming back for years to come. Great Dentists are hard to find, and Dr. Figueroa is a GEM and a TOP-NOTCH Dentist! Dr. Kaufman is a very wonderful dentist! As someone who is very nervous at the dentist, I was so happy to find Dr. Kaufman. She listens patiently when I express concerns and never seems rushed. She takes her time to explain everything she is doing as she is doing it and also clearly explains everything she recommends. Most importantly, when cleaning my teeth and repairing /redoing an old filling, she was very gentle and sensitive to my nervousness and nothing hurt at all! I greatly appreciate Dr. Kaufman and am so glad I found her. The whole office is clean and nice with modern equipment and everyone of the staff who I have encountered, from the receptionists to the dental assistants, have been friendly and helpful! I have only had 3 visits to Presidental Care so far but I have only great things to say and feel like they genuinely care about me and the health of my teeth! read more

I have been going to Presidental Care for 10+ years. All I can say is Dr. Figueroa (a soccer fan and player which she and I can relate) and Dr. Kaufman (she looks 17 but she promises me she isn't) are great!! I'll be honest, I hate going to the dentist. I'm not a big fan of pain and huge "surprise" dental cost. But I never have that issue with Presidental care. I pretty much came clean to Dr. Kaufman stating how my teeth are extremely sensitive and once I made that clear, she made sure of it that I was comfortable during all my exams, cleanings or procedures. Also, they were really great in ensuring me that they will do their best pertaining to cost so that I won't be homeless. Also, all the dental hygienist are also very pleasant and were very thorough including the front desk staff in dealing with my not so pleasant insurance company. I highly recommend Presidental Care if you're in need of a quality dentist and staff. They will always have your interest first and they are right next to the Times Square MTA stop which is very convenient. My belief with dentist is that I don't get mad if I'm in pain, I just don't go back. But as I said earlier, I've been going there 10+ years so give them a try....you won't be disappointed. read more

I left the practice after my last visit before Covid. There's an attitude problem in the office. I've never even encountered Figueroa, so can't speak to what she's like, but Katz is arrogant and acts like your teeth are hers to make decisions about. Guide me and ask for my input. It's my mouth B***. She's more concerned with her artistry on the crown than the fact that my teeth are grinding down. When I asked her to look at a tooth that I could feel wear on her response was "I'm not going to worry about that when I have this one." The one she was referring too was a tooth that had been broken for about five years that had never given me any trouble because it was a clean break on a filling but she was dying to mess with it. And speaking of bruxism, the last time I was fitted for a $350 night guard, the hygienist had a major attitude. While she was holding the mold in my mouth she was making an obvious show of how bored she was. Her hand slid. THE GUIDE SLID WHILE SHE WAS MAKING THE MOLD AND SHE DIDN'T NOTICE. I tapped her arm. She looked at me and sneered that it was almost done, not even inquiring why I had tapped her. When she looked at the mold she had just made, her eyes grew large, but instead of asking me anything or having any concern, she literally shrugged her shoulders and submitted the mold. That was the last time I subjected to myself to their snobbery. I now have Dr. Pyon on the UES and she and her staff are super sweet. highly recommend. read more

I was skeptical at first because I had been going to my dentist for over 10 years now in the city and since he was no longer accepting my insurance I was referred this office by my insurance (delta dental) and I couldn't have been happier!! Dr. Judith Kaufman was absolutely amazing and made me feel comfortable. I hate having my teeth cleaned but with her it was quick and painless. I was also impressed that after my cleaning the suggestions they made for minor improvements were the same that my dentist over 10 years has suggested, so I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of (which was a huge concern seeing a new dentist) Freddy who works in the front office along with his other colleagues that check you in, were amazing. They were kind and patient and went over in detail the treatment plan and what to expect on my next visit. I am so thrilled to have this as my dentist office and excited that they are working with me to get the most of having dental insurance and making sure that it is the most affordable option. I highly recommend going here because the staff is not only amazing but the office is clean and top notch! read more

Avoid this place at all cost. They lied to me that they got me a crown. Instead they performed an onlay. I did a root canal treatment. They told me I need a crown. I went in and they made me a cerec one. It turns out it was not a crown but an onlay. On my receipt it says "Crown", and I was told they made a crown for me probably ten times. I went in for a cleaning one day, and another doctor from this office asked me why I got an onlay after a root canal treatment. I guess she was new and she did not check my history. I told her that it should be a "Crown" because I got it from this office. She went outside to talk to someone and came back after 5-10 mins and told me your crown looks great and I have nothing to worry about (can't believe how much they messed with me) I went to another dental office, and I got the same question. Why did you get an onlay after a root canal? This place is a total scam. Dr. Figueroa who performed a root canal treatment and an "Onlay" lied to me that she got me a crown. On my receipt it says i paid for a crown but on my dental claim it was filed for an onlay. I cannot express more how absurd it is. read more

After many years of neglect, and fearful of what was to come, I finally took the bull by horns and went to see Dr. Figueroa at presidental care - by way of my mates raving recommendation. What I thought was going to be a horrible and painful experience, turned into a candid and honest, but humane and gentle experience. From the moment I entered, I was welcomed and put at ease by the staff. Dr. Figueroa and her team are consummate professionals. I have been a few times now and while I really like Dr. Figueroa and Dr. Pickett, this most recent time, they were incredibly late. I had to reschedule because after 20 minutes of waiting past my appointment time, it was still going to be another 5-10 minutes. I booked a morning appointment and arrived early to try to avoid this, but they still took in a two different people that were 10 minutes late instead of me. I rescheduled my appointment and will edit my review if everything is on time but if not, I won't be returning. read more

Ok. So. I usually hate the dentist. The idea of pouring one's respective finances into a career structured entirely on pricking a person's facial cavity with steal instruments for the idea of "cleanliness", feels really dated to me. Lets invent a mouthwash that takes care of alllllllll that shiiiiiiittt. Mr. Chris Cummings is an exceptionally talented, gentle, and courteous practitioner. He took care of everything exceptionally quickly, and at no point did I feel any pain or major discomfort that could usually be avoided by never going to the dentist in the first place. I have been going to Presidental for about a year and a half. I see Dr. Pickett and she's very accommodating and kind around my severe trauma regarding my dental history. It's a long story that doesn't really matter but it's left me petrified of the dentist. After having a series of other health problems I went to the dentist after 4 years without. I would agree with some of the negative reviews that I usually wait quite a while to get a room let alone be seen but once I am I feel like things move along just fine. I also don't mind waiting since that makes me feel calmer around being at the dentist. Something they did for the first few appointments was try to get me to use Invisalign or to fix a chip in my tooth that has never bothered me and I've had since I was 10. I was always firm in my answer that I didn't want those things and I would consider it if it ever became truly medically necessary. They are a cosmetic dentist practice so I'm not surprised when they bring it up. Recently I needed a root canal. The nerve died over Labor Day weekend and I was in horrible pain when I went in. They did the first part that day and the second part this afternoon, about two weeks later. Dr. Pickett was kind and gentle as usual and their root canal specialist who I saw today was so good. It was a complicated root canal because my roots all curve at the bottom and this particular tooth intersects with the nerve in my jawline. Things I've had told to me by every dentist I've ever had so not news by any means. Overall they are kind and professional although lacking in punctuality and some minor office management skills. read more

PresiDental Care is like matching with your soulmate on Bumble, only to be catfished on your first date. PROS: -Central location adjacent to Times Square in Midtown Manhattan -Modern amenities in office AND online booking/confirmations -Free Wifi and coffee in office -Sleek furnishings and bright lighting throughout the entire office CONS: -NOT timely at all -Charges cancellation fees for no shows -Poor communication At the surface, this dental office has everything you would need - An online booking system through ZocDoc AND their internal portal (who wants to talk on the phone nowadays anyways?!), a swanky office and a central location. With all of these in mind, I hopped right on the first (and only) appointment that aligned with my schedule. On top of being cordial confirmation through Zoc Doc, you also get a follow up email with portal access to manage your appointments/documents AND a confirmation call - Say WHA? 5+ Stars for the initial sell. Unfortunately this 5 star experience ends here as the multiple layers of confirmation did nothing in terms of delivering upon the outlined asks and appointment times. After checking in promptly at 9:00 AM for an appointment that was covered for an hour, I patiently sat and used their free wifi (which is great btw!) to get some work done. After the 30 minute mark, I had inquired about the wait and was moved to a room without working equipment (or wifi- which is the real tragedy here). Upon waiting an additional 20 minutes in a room with no working equipment (or wifi - really emphasizing this as the key winner here guys), I kindly followed up with the staff only to realize that there was no real plan of action for a simple teeth cleaning 50 minutes into my 60 minute appointment. For an office that has such strict cancellation fees on their appointment, you would think they would have the same value of their client's time as they do their own to ensure a vicarious relationship. Totally understand when unexpected errors or tech issues arise, but the lack of communication from the team led to an unpleasant and unexpected experience and a complete waste of my time on a workday morning. TL; DR: -Office is swanky and has free coffee (did i mention wifi too??), but you may or MAY NOT get serviced in a reasonable amount of time. Or you know acknowledged. At least my dislike for the dentist office is now rationalized! +5 stars for free wifi and modern accessories -4 stars for terrible communication and timeline management +1 for the club music playing in the lobby read more

This place is a huge rip off. My husband and I went in for cleanings and came out with a huge treatment plan to drain our insurance . They diagnosed us with 6 cavities each and 2root canals that needed to be done. We ended up not scheduling any appointments and going for a second opinion before completely ruining our teeth. The second dentist only found one cavity that needs to be filled and one root canal on me. My husband had no cavities. They keep calling me to schedule the treatment after I told them I don't want to. Don't be fooled by their beautiful office because they're only out for money. They also billed our insurance for "oral hygiene instructions" which I believe is the hygienist telling us to brush our teeth, this is completely insane . I have had cleanings my entire life and have never been billed for such garbage. I can't believe the creative billing of this office. read more

I have been going to PresiDental Care for the past 6 years and have nothing but praise for their entire staff. Great Customer Services, They are up-to-date with modern technology. You receive email/text reminders about your appointments and you can schedule them online! No real paper forms to fill out. From the moment I arrive I'm greeted and checked in with ease. I've never had to wait more than maybe ten minutes and am never rushed during my appointment. Dr Figueroa take the time to explain the details of procedures and worked out a plan that would help me get my work done in a timely fashion. DO NOT go to this place! I had a filling done, it popped out a week later, got it fixed again, and it popped out 1 week afterwards again. The staff had the audacity to tell me it's my fault and that I should get veneers (she's the front desk staff, not a dentist mind you). I never heard back from them after their office opened after lockdown to get it fixed, and now they are refusing. Terrible and rude office. Better to look elsewhere where you will be respected. Additionally, they give you incentive to give reviews--so don't trust all these 5 star ratings. read more

Bonus for doing the consult and cleaning herself, rather than farming it out. Sadly had a couple cavities, but these were quickly taken care of at my next visit. I later had to come in for a follow-up on my fillings and had no trouble booking an appointment last minute. Found this place via some deal site or other and am happy to report that I'll be back. I have been seeing her for years and every single time I see her, she explains the procedures, my options and always makes sure i'm comfortable with what will be done. Will not be back which is a shame because I literally work in the next building over. I went about a month ago and was given a break down of the work that needed to be done. I told Dr. Pickett that i'd rather use my insurance for the implant (I am only allowed x amount of dollars per year) then the small fillings (I could pay that out of pocket) her words "no matter which way you slice or dice it, you still need the fillings" Okay, i understand that. however, anybody would much rather pay fillings over an implant which we all know is a lot more expensive. My guess is that since she isn't a oral surgeon, so she wouldn't be getting paid for the implant. Which is selfish and does not have the patients best interest at heart. I found another place nearby that thought the above was foolish and accommodated to what I wanted to use my insurance on. read more

I've been to Dr Cummings three times. First visit was pleasant. Second visit they left me in the room alone with nitrous for about 25 minutes without checking on me. Third time was ok, however I've left two messages for the Dr to call me to discuss my x-rays. He didn't return my call, guessing he didn't get the message, so I just called the office to ask for him to call me and also to discuss insurance and I think her name is Penelope answered the phone and in mid-sentence told me she was busy and would have to call me back. Clearly they are not interested in customer service. I just asked for my records to be sent. read more

I've been going here for almost a year now, didn't really have any issues until it came down to actually getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Below you will find a series of events: 1) I had no prior issues with my wisdom teeth. I was pressured to get two of them removed, so i did. -OK 2) Got a print out of how much I would be paying out of pocket. -OK 3) Surgery completed, walked to the front desk to give my first payment was informed the surgeon was out of my network and now my out of pocket expense was double of what I was originally going to pay. I am completely numb from having two wisdom teeth removed and still high on gas and thats when they decide to tell me I will be paying double.- Absolutely not oK. 4) Second payment- I called and asked if they can take it out a few days later because I was switching jobs and my pay schedule was going to change. Never took out the money for this payment or the 3rd. -Not OK 5) Finally they realized they were not taking the payments. Emailed me and we set up a new payment plan. -OK 6) Took the second payment out 3 days prior to our already scheduled payment plan.-Not OK 7) The person who took the payment out earlier didn't notify anyone that the payment was already taken out so they again charged my card for the payment 3 days later.- Absolutely not oK. 8) I had to call them and they just apologized and reversed the transaction. It's completely frustrating how the front office is working here. The procedure went fine and my actual doctor is fine as well. But its the front office and staff that is making this review a 1 star. Everything from not notifying me that my surgery will be double the price to not charging me on the dates we agreed upon and double charging me because the staff doesn't notate or let anyone know its been taken care of. I will not be going back here for any other work or routine dental procedures. Be careful and always ask questions! read more

I was looking for a new dentist because my previous dentist always found ways to squeeze money out of me and charge for things. I was referred by my friend and her sister. I can say that Dr. Figueroa and her support staff do everything very ethically and what I really like is that they tell you upfront how much a procedure will cost before you go through with it. It's all on paper so there's no misunderstandings. In addition, they had me do X-rays but it turned out there was a miscommunication between the insurance company and their office. They didn't charge me for it, which was not just the right thing to do but also honorable especially since in this day and age everyone is trying to make a buck somewhere. I never ever have to wait for my appointment, maybe once by 10 minutes, but that's nothing. And they gave me a Starbucks gift card for waiting. At my previous dentist at a fancy Wall Street location, I had to wait TWO HOURS with an appointment more than once. No apologies either. And dude, coffee machines AND a massage chair. Yes, in the room you get your work done! Amazing. And free lip balm. Yes these little gifts are great, but ultimately I also find Dr. Figueroa herself has great beside manner and also knows what she's doing. I've been to many dentists and she is definitely my favorite by far because of the right mixture of warmth and clinical dentisty stuff (that makes sense right?). The staff are also really nice and warm, and don't make it seem like you're just a name in their books. Their hours are good too - late hours and weekend hours. I come all the way from Astoria so that just speaks for itself. In conclusion, love her. read more

5 Stars = Wohoo! As good as it gets! Very much the case with PresiDental care! I've been going to Dr. Figueroa for a few years now. I've never felt so at home at a doctors office! The whole staff is very friendly and inviting. They remember me and ask me how I've been doing since my last visit, how my weekend or day was... that's really something special; especially in a city like NY where everyone is in a hurry in their own bubble. It's nice to have those personal moments. Astrid the Office Manager is amazing! She is always so accomodating and goes out of her way. For example: I'm not just a couple times a year- only stop in to get a cleaning type of patient. I've had deep cleanings, regular cleanings, filings, wisdom teeth removal, implants and soon invisalign... so I see the dentist often and consider myself a "regular" (ha). Astrid always helps me plan my visits around work schedules, and even helps me figure out payment plans for services not covered under my insurance. She helps me plan the payments out in advance so I'm not surprised by outrageous and unexpected costs. Sometimes on the weekends when every train on the planet isnt running, and you end up being late for an appointment, they're very understanding and patient. Dr. Figueroa is amazing. She is very professional, very well informed, very communicative, friendly and welcoming. Most people get comfortable with their hair dresser, I get comfortable with my dentist. She will also go out of her way for patients, answer any questions that I may have, review what the procedures are and what to expect. I repeat- Wohoo! As good as it gets! The office is conveniently located in midtown, easy to get to by nearly every train. The staff is fantastic and they always have a good selections of magazines :) read more
