While walking around Downtown on a Sunday, I stumbled across Press Box Grill and grabbed a seat at the bar. I got the Chicken Fried Chicken and it was pretty good. I happened to come on a day that a soccer tournament was going on, so it was loud, but it was fun! I was schooled on the game of soccer and I got to wear a sombrero from one of the fans of the game every time a goal was made... All in all, its a cool place. Food was good and drinks were strong.. I went here for late lunch/early dinner. It's a cute little sports bar with a ton of beers on tap. I ordered the bison burger. It was okay, but overcooked. (My friend's burger was also overcooked.) The fries were fresh and tasty. Service was good, until people started coming in for Happy Hour. Then it started to go downhill. read more

This place is a mess in general. We live across the street so we have tried this place over and over hoping it gets better because it's so convenient. One time we ordered food to go and it was all wrong. My husband had to go back to get it fixed and the bartender gave him attitude. The beer on tap has tasted so weird the past few times we have gone...almost like stale beer and popcorn. The last time we ate there we both got sick. I don't know if the cooking oil was old or what but it was terrible. We won't go back. It's just a mess. Avoid at all costs if you can. read more

I was visiting on a business trip last weekend, and we stumbled into this place by chance. It was so yummy! I had the buffalo chicken salad and the way they cooked the chicken was so delicious. It wasn't too overly greasy and thickly breaded. It was really unique and flavorful. The house chardonnay was really good too! The prices were pretty decent, and the service was quick and friendly. Our waitress seemed very nice but was scattered. She took our drink orders twice and our meal orders twice and still got both wrong. She said they were down two wait staff and only had one cook who she blamed for the incorrect orders. My thinking as a former waiter is that you take the blame and don't throw your co-workers under the bus or make excuses. Just work to make it right. Rough go tonight. read more

Hmmm, where do I start... well PBG was definitely everything that I thought it was going to be and a little more. The service was great, Jessi (the bartender) was very friendly and personal. Even though he was a Cubs fan I still treated him like a real human being with a decent amount of intelligence. I just so happened to have a Cardinals shirt on so when I saw his Chicago hat on, I couldn't help but ask how the cubbies were doing this year. ( I already knew the answer but was curious as to what he would say) He said terrible and I said, oh... like usual then? ;) hehe We got along great though and had some awesome laughs. I just had a few ice cold beverages, fried pickles and an amazing Buffalo Chicken Sandwich.... not your typical Buff Chicken sand. I ordered the shrimp w/onion rings and they were delicious!! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and they were big pieces. The onion rings were a little too crunchy but they were yummy. My friend ordered the chicken tenders and they were very tender with the right amount of breading. You can tell they were hand breaded. The fries were natural cut and delicious. This is now our new favorite lunch spot! read more

Just ordered a basic Caesar salad, no meat and when I got back to the office, I saw they didn't include any dressing. When I called them about it, they were very apologetic and would send a courier over with the dressing. 20 minutes later I was able to eat it, but it was pretty tiny for $6.50, and generally not that great. Stopped in to Pressbox today after #DallasDiamondDash .We were shocked to see that 7 of their draft beer selections were out. My girlfriend ordered a shocktop and I ordered a shiner red wing and we ordered a blackened chicken sandwich . The food was ok and the shocktop tasted rotten so we sent it back and got a bud light which also tasted weird like they don't clean their beer lines or the beer is old. Service was not very good at all, we didn't feel welcomed and didn't receive any napkins or utensils . Also we saw the bartender rolling her eyes when more people came in . She looked like she didn't want to be there. We will not return. read more

The food here is always delicious but for the love of everything holy, this kitchen needs to pick up the pace. Average order-to-table time is 20 minutes (24 minutes this time and only half of us have had our food delivered). That's insane for a downtown restaurant serving a lunch crowd. read more

Went last night to watch the NCAA game. I like the long tables and the amount of televisions. The problem was our waitress. I wish she had given us her name, our waitress was a light skinned female with a tattoo on her neck. Not sure if she was having a bad day or what. There were so many rude things that she did but the biggest 2 were, my friend ordered a Poloma drink and the waitress brought out a Mule drink. Ok, no big deal but the waitress acted as if my friend ordered the wrong drink and even came back later and made a comment about her not liking the first drink. It wasn't that she didn't like the first drink you brought the wrong drink! The final straw was my boyfriend asked the waitress for the check, when she comes & bring the check she stands there says, "Can you go ahead and pay because I don't want to keep going back and forth". WTF!!! You are a Waitress, that's what you do, go back and forth!!! She had a nonchalant attitude and acted like she really didn't care. And even still my friend and my boyfriend were going to give her a 20% tip until I reminded them of her awful service. The loaded cheese fries were good, the haddock was ok. My boyfriend's ribeye was over cooked and he didn't like the salad. Because of the service I would never go back. read more

It was conveniently close to my hotel, and a great place for my coworkers and I to unwind after a long day at work. I ate here for lunch once and loved the chili! We stopped here for drinks during our trip to Dallas and we were pleasantly surprised! The service was out of this world - THREE different people stopped by our table multiple times to ask if we needed anything, and our main server was super helpful! We asked about local Texas beers and he made recommendations based on our preferences, gave us samples of anything we wanted to try, and told us a little bit about the breweries where our beers were from. This was all while still serving other tables during a busy night (the World Series was on, so there were a ton of people). They also do not mess around with their salsa - hot and delicious, the way it should be! We stayed longer than we had planned, and it was hard to leave, but we will definitely be back! read more
