Dennis came the next day and communicated well prior to his arrival. Dennis explained what he would do well. Dennis made quick work of that wasp nest and knocked it off my roof eave before taking it away. All in all, I'd say he was here for no longer than 20 minutes. He recommended servicing our residence as well as the eaves to further prevent wasps from returning and to prevent other pests from visiting, but was not pushy about the service. It is a large square footage single story on a very large lot in Tracy, so we had been seeing our fair share of spiders, earwigs--the usual suspects. We were previously with a different pest control company in town at our prior home, and while they did a good job, their rates year over year would consistently rise to the point where it wasn't feasible. I found Pro Active Pest Control on Yelp and immediately noticed their exceptional rating with lots of reviews. When calling, I spoke with Raymond who walked me through their services and was able to quote me right over the phone. Their pricing was extremely competitive and Raymond had me scheduled for service within the next day. The technicians arrived within the timeframe they said they would and gave a courtesy call that they were 20 minutes out. They were cordial, took the time to review the property and a few spider "hot spots" and immediately got to work. If I had one minor gripe, it was that we anticipated to have our interior treated as well on this initial service visit; but it wasn't communicated that we (pets and humans) would need to be out of the house for about ~2 hours after the interior service was completed in order for them to do it. That unfortunately didn't make sense for us that day, but they said to just call them at any point to schedule the interior treatment when it made for sense for our schedule. All in all, very accommodating, great price, and while we're only 24 hours in, I have yet to see any critters that we were getting pretty frequently around the property, so I feel great about becoming a Pro Active customer! Before hiring, I had asked my local mom's group, local raves and rants page and Nextdoor... these…read morefolks came up as highly recommended. So we interviewed them for the job. The guy who came out was on time, a bit eccentric and very passionate about rats. He was detail oriented and did a great job explaining the job and its breakdown. Unfortunately on the day of the job, we had 4 guys come to our home on time- but none of them spoke English. Now, I appreciate them coming out, but we just could not communicate and they did not have work trucks or shirts with their company name. An hour later, we had a younger guy show up and he spoke English. The crew worked really fast, did a nasty job of removing our rodent infested insulation and put in new insulation, they mixed concrete and patched up some holes as well and put out rat traps. They came back twice to check the traps and removed them. I think they did a good job, appreciate their punctuality. But management should always send someone who speaks some English and provide a company truck or at least shirts. I personally felt uncomfortable letting into my home a group of random men with no identification.
