My usual pet sitter/walking company, Great Paws (now Sparta) was closed so I decided to try Prestigious Pets based on all of the good reviews. We have 2 dogs and a fish that were being cared for while we were gone a Friday through Tuesday evening. I knew in the initial meeting that I did not think the company was a good fit. The walker would not share her phone number and said any communications had to be emailed through the company. Since their hours are M-F 9 am - 4pm or Sat. 11 am - 3pm and closed Sunday, this leaves a lot of time where you cannot contact your walker if needed. We would have liked to contact her when we saw the alarm was not set and also when we saw the fish bowl had gone from clear to cloudy. I also did not like their fee and the services you receive. In the initial meeting, our walker told us it was $20 to come to the house, but that did not include a walk. She told us that was $5 extra. Granted they invoiced and charged us $10 and it took multiple emails to get that credited back on my card. The request was made on 10/6 and I did not receive the credit until 10/14. Their initial quote said the visit included 10-15 minutes of a walk or backyard time so I was confused that our walker was telling us something different. They also don't automatically give you updates on the visit. In the initial meeting, our walker told us that has to be requested each day via email. I like to know the walk and visit happened and that the dogs are doing well. Finally, I left a note asking for our keys to be left when the walker left the last day. They charge $15 to get them back at a later date. The walker did not leave the keys and they are going to charge me to get them back. The one star is for potentially harming my fish, otherwise it would have been 2 stars. We have a camera on the bowl and we watched the water go from clear to cloudy. There was a layer of food on the bottom from way too much being put in it. Even if you don't have fish, you should be able to see the change in the bowl and stop putting in food. Better yet, ask us how much to feed if you are unsure. The care of our dogs was fine. It is just the company is not one I would recommend due to their policies. I did share this feedback with them and they wanted to discuss it. However, I have no plans to use them again and did not want to take the time to discuss the issues. read more

I have used Prestigious Pets for the past year whenever I have needed to take a vacation. I am extremely overprotective with my babies and was unsure which company to go with. I witnessed firsthand the excitement and care their walkers give while I was out with my own pup one day. They are animal lovers, just like me. I used them to take care of my dog Opie and could not have been more pleased. I recieved updates and pictures of my little man which helped me feel less guilty about traveling. I loved the company so much that I worked for them about half a year. The communication is excellent. Kalle cares about ensuring every pet is cared for as if it were our own. The other sitters I met were just as passionate about animals as I was. Just recently I have used them for a long walk on Tuesdays and Thursdays just because Opie loves the sitters so much. Prestigious Pets walks my small dog a couple of times each week and sometimes more if I need to work late. I have been using her for several months and it has been great for me & my dog. Kalle is very organized & professional, e.g. she emails the invoice to me each month. She communicates very promptly when I need to contact her and is always willing to accommodate my changes in schedule. Kalle has a lot of experience with dogs and business of dog walking, also it is obvious she loves animals! I've now used prestigious pets for a few 3-7 day trips out of town and so far have been completely satisfied. Their prices are reasonable (cheaper than boarding), the service is provided by individuals who live in your same zip code, and booking is easy. Once you've done the initial setup of giving them two sets of house keys and filled out some minor paperwork on your pets (their names/needs/wants), you can basically just submit an online form, they send an invoice by email, you pay, and then you're set! Prices for holidays are a little bit higher than normal days, but not by that much ($18 vs. $23/day for 2 pets). My animals always seem happy to see me upon my return but not traumatized by my absence, which is about all you can hope for. If you check in with Yelp, you can get 10% off! read more

Kalle is awesome. How amazing to know I am leaving my dog Birdie in such great hands while I am at work all day. It was immediately apparent to me that she is a HUGE animal lover. She was extremely kind and gentle, she LOVES Birdie, and she made some great recommendations to me for a vet and doggie daycare (me being a first-time pet owner). She was very prepared and organized, and knew exactly what questions to ask in order to take care of Birdie while I'm out (i.e. where should I put her if she's had an accident in the house when I arrive). There may be a slight price difference b/w Prestigious Pets and some other services, but to me, paying $2-3 more/ visit to have someone so fantastic is a no-brainer. When it comes to my pet, and to giving someone keys to my home, I will pay a premium for someone I really trust. read more

I had to go out of town for a while and my two cats couldn't join me. My babies are spoiled, one needs medication twice/day, they like their snacks and pettins. I called Prestigious Pets, scheduled a meet and greet we went over the care instructions and the start and end of the service. After the meet and greet I was already confident I made the right choice. What can I say, I got back my babies were happy to see me, no ignoring me for days. WIN!! This place is absolutely wonderful for your pets needs. My dog has issues controlling weight and he has special dietary and exercise needs. While I was out of town for a holiday trip my little buddy was taken care of so incredibly well. I planned for the sitter to come for sitting everyday while I was away and to get my dog his exercise(walking he's not a runner). The sitter came to meet me and my dog. Anyway they sent me daily updates with photos about how well he was behaving and how friendly and energetic he was. I was extremely worried about him being sad that I was gone for so long. The pictures proved to me that he was having a grand time with the sitter everyday. They walked him and played with him each day's. The gave me all the updates about his eating and energy levels which made me feel very comfortable with them. My fiance and I normally have a close friend watch our dogs while we are out of town, but for some reason, everyone was busy this fourth of july and we were headed to vegas for a wedding. Stressed out last minute because the person who said they potentially could watch our dogs dropped out the week prior, I stumbled upon Prestigious Pets. Between two kids and jobs, our "starter baby" became the last man on the totem pole so we called Prestigious Pets. We'd never used a walking service before, only pet boarding, and are extremely happy we did! It's true, you may not always have the same walker but that was not an issue for us. They administered the medications as directed by the vet, let me emails and photos to let me know she was getting better. We have been using Prestigious Pets for a while now and appreciate the service they offer. We're new in town and don't have family or friends to keep an eye on our cats, so it helps to have them since we do travel quite a bit. The only service I wish they would offer is text messaging. This doesn't cost anything (nowadays) and it makes a pet owner on the road happy to know that you were actually there and played with our kittens and love them too...not just hoping and assuming a visit was made, but I guess that's the risk you take. These guys might have been good to my dog but they are extremely shady. They are not authorized to charge my credit card post the first week of use since I paid in full prior to any walk with checks. I just happened to look at my credit card statements and found they have charged be 3 separate times for a total of more than $100 in the past two months. Not ok! It started out okay and then went downhill from there. The girl I first met was timid but I thought it would be okay. After a few weeks I noticed that there was someone new coming to my house because the handwriting changed on the log sheet. I came home one day and my front door was ajar. I called to inquire and just to let them know what had happened and asked that they double check when they leave and all I got from the "manager" was "Ma'am, I can assure you that your door wasn't left open". Well....you can't unless you were the one that came to my house. After a few more weeks we noticed that our pup was really eager to get outside when we got home. Then I decided to try to see if she was being walked, as that is what we are paying them for. So I strategically placed my dogs leash and harness and noted that it never moved. I since have not asked them to return, I have emailed, and left several messages on the website as well as the office and have had no response as to why my dog wasn't being walked...why no one will give me my key back....and WHY WE CONTINUE TO GET CHARGED, AT A HIGHER RATE NO LESS, WHEN WE ARE USING ANOTHER COMPANY!!! I unfortunately did not have a good experience with this company. I paid for a typical cat visit (e.g. feeding, litter change) and numerous times the litter wasn't changed. Furthermore, there were issues with how much food was given and overall organization internally. When I complained, since this wasn't the first time this had happened, the response was poor and there was no guarantee that the service would improve or customer compensation (e.g. money back for one of the visits, since the service I paid for wasn't fulfilled).
