We have gone here on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for as long as I can remember. Two weeks ago we got home with our take out and my husbands order was wrong. We had gone through the drive thru so I chalked it up to hard to hear the order. Last night we went in and ordered. When I picked it up the girl read back to me exactly what I ordered. When I got home I found my Pasta had ZERO sauce on it. It was inedible. Today my mother stopped by to get the pasta sauce left off my order. She was CHARGED for it. Charged money to fix their error. Charged money to make my correctly ordered meal I paid for edible. I won't be back and I suggest everyone who does go there check their order. The Manager is not forgiving when they make errors. This place in Camarillo is kind of stingy I ordered spaghetti and they gave me a small amount of food like spaghetti is gold plus their fettuccini Alfredo was dry I like going to presto in Ventura and Newburyport park cause it's fresh and good I won't go to the one in Camarillo anymore I gave them a chance but they delivered short . My son is picky about his food but we were steered the right direction to get him the best meal possible. He had the kids meal pasta with alfredo sauce. My son absolutely loved it. My breath reeks so bad right now. That's the sign of some serious garlic bread. I love Presto Pasta. It's such a great concept that I'm surprised other places haven't picked up on it. Drive-thru pizza, pasta, subs, and salads. Wow. Plus their food tastes great too. I'm a big fan of their Spaghetti Carbonara, even though at Presto it's essentially Alfredo with peas and prosciutto. Sarah M. loves this place too, and she knows what's good and what ain't. Also, I'm not quite sure if this was intentional, but the food here in the Camarillo location tastes different from that in the Newbury Park location. Michael S. has noticed it, and so have I. I like both, and it's cool that you can try the exact same item at a different location and get a different experience. The Chicken Parmigiana is better in Camarillo. The Putanesca (try it with Angel Hair) is better in Newbury Park. Their pizza dough reminds me a little of California Pizza Kitchen, or Double Play in Mission Oaks. It's light, hand-tossed, and slightly sweet. It even bears resemblance to Pizza Port down in the San Diego area, but it's not exactly there. If you dine in, you'll get your order in no time flat. Lastly, their Caesar salad has anchovy in the mix, the way it should be. Ballin'!!! read more

Presto Pasta is one of those fast casual places. The good here is good and I do go here occasionally for lunch. There's a wide variety of pasta you can buy here. If you want, you can even semi create your own dish by asking for whichever sauce and pasta you like. My favorite dish here was their limited time Kung Pao Spaghetti. Its no longer with them but it was essentially Kung Pao Chicken with Spaghetti. It was great haha. I wish I took a picture of it while it was still on the menu. Every time I come here My food is always good and always come out right, but this person decided to ruin it! First when she hand me my order I ask her "oh what happen to the cappers?" She told me this is shrimp scampi, and I told her I order a picatta and she didn't say anything..after that she came back to give my friends order and it's the shrimp picatta and he order a scampi.. So he told her " I think you switch my order and my friends". And she said ok let me get you the scampi and I told her "aren't you gonna ask me if I want my order?" And she gave me the eye. Since I had a bite already of the garlic bread she took the plate back to the kitchen and switch it with picatta I originally order and she just left again! Instead of asking for the second time if we want cheese like they usually do. So when she came back again to our table to give my friends order. She told my friend " next time listen when we repeat the order because you didn't pay attention we went to this trouble " and she left, I mean I get it what she mean I work at the customer service too and customer don't often listen when your reading their order back to them, but why give such attitude and talk back to a customer like that ... I love the this place and been coming here for over ten years and this is the first time I encounter this person. Hopefully someone will teach her some manner. read more

I'm a pretty indecisive person when it comes to ordering food, but due to the long lunch line forming behind me, I had to make up my mind fast. So, I just went with the personal-sized pepperoni pizza. How could they screw that up? Well, they managed to. Fake cheese. Even welfare recipients get the cheese stamped "Real Cheese"! My friend ordered the chicken picata lunch. She ate the salad and took a bite of the garlic bread, but that was it. The chicken looked fake too. The pasta was lukewarm and the sauce was watery. We looked around thinking, "Are we the only ones who don't dig this place?" And so that is how it appeared. Everyone was chomping away on their fake food, talking & laughing, something you'd see in your typical romantic-comedy. I can see how a 2 or 3 yr. old could appreciate this food, but once brain and taste buds/reasoning/appreciation for goodness connect, your days of presto pasta for lunch should be over! read more

Ordered angel hair pasta with marinara cream sauce add garlic. Got it home and it was Alfredo sauce. It was to late to go back so I just made a sandwich and put it in the fridge. Brought it back in and also ordered a side of $3.00 garlic bread. He was sure to charge me for the garlic bread and not even apologize for messing up on my order. Customer service is nowhere to be found at the camarillo presto pasta. If you must come I suggest checking your order thoroughly before you leave. Also, everyone working here are teenagers so it's tough to express concern with no adults or management to be found. Don't foresee coming back. Ok. Presto Pasta is a staple in the Camarillo area. This restaurant has consistently had well-managed and respectful workers. I ate there three times in four days and know that I can get anything on the menu and will be wanting and craving more. The fresh piccata sauce dipped with the bread is a mouthwatering finisher. Not only is everything on the menu well designed and easy to order, the cost is very family friendly. The meals itself compare to any of the most expensive pasta restaurants I have been to, and I would say a touch better. This is the first food place I think about when grabbing something to eat in the Camarillo area and the other locations. Lastly, there is never a wait and the meals are prepared masterfully unlike some places that just hurry to get the food to you, it really is the best of both worlds. Time upon ordering and getting food is under four to five minutes. This is a place I can't recommend enough to people to give a try! read more

Ive been to this restaurant 5 times and never wrote a review but finally had the time. The first time I went was to try it out and i was really hoping it would be great because I loved the idea of fast food Italian. I thought the food was okay..I wouldn't have gone so many times but then I went 3 more times a few years later because it's really close and I just had surgery and for some reason all I wanted was spaghetti. The last time I went to see if it got better and only bought food for two. The food was just okay but I couldn't believe how expensive it was for fast food pasta that isn't anything special. Everything they make you can make better at home for 80% or more less.The garlic bread is probably the best thing. I'm just really shocked how many people go here..my spaghetti and sauce is so much better..maybe I should open a fast food Italian restaurant lol. I really can't decide whether to give this place a 3 or 2 star review. It's more like 2.5. Well, I went up to visit my friend's new place in Camarillo. It's awesome. It's huge and "palatial" in comparison to the place where she used to live. I was impressed. Anyway, all that aside, after awhile talking... we ended up getting hungry. She just moved there so we didn't know what to eat. I hate making decisions... so she recommended this pasta place. Fast food pasta? That alone should let you know that it's gonna be weird. I mean to one side there's a drive-thru... which... I have to admit is pretty awesome. I don't live in the area... but that would be awesome for a midnight meal... you know, much better than the usual drive-thru fare. Anyway... I had the linguini puttanesca... which is one of my favorites. Literally, means "whore's pasta". Bet you didn't know that, huh?! hahaha. Weirdness. Anyway... Capers?! Kalamata Olives? I love it. Theirs was okay. The puttanesca sauce itself wasn't bad. The thing that didn't mesh well for me was the pasta. I like my pasta "al dente". This was more mushy...and just sloppy, if you know what I mean. It was edible... but not my favorite. The texture just wasn't right. I had mine with added garlic (which was sliced and was good) and then I also had the chicken added. That was good and broke up some of the mushy texture of the pasta. Cooked well. Not fatty. I was pleased. But it is what it is right... I mean, it's pretty good for fast food pasta. Plus, if you get the meal, they give you a choice of soup or salad...and some garlic bread. The garlic bread was okay. The salad was yum. Pretty good caesar salad. The portions are huge though! I think the small size is definitely enough...and you know what, for what it is... it's pretty inexpensive and I suppose for "fast food" pasta... it's pretty good. There's also a pretty nice "inside" where you can sit and eat and talk. They give you a little number that you stick on your table and they'll bring you your food pretty quickly. read more

A fast food Pasta Place??? HELL YEA! This place rocks! Big bang for your buck... You can even order beer or wine with your dinner. I have only had the chicken alfredo so far.. But it was fast and the portions HUGE.. We went inside to eat.. it was weird- felt like I was inside Mc Donald's eating pasta. Next time we will do the drive through. The three "F's" of fast food dining are: fast, filling and flavorful. Presto Pasta managed to fulfill two out of three with their very quick service and their filling pastas. The one F that was lacking was in the flavor department. I ordered the spaghetti with alfredo sauce, and granted, alfredo sauce is nothing more than butter, parmesan cheese and heavy cream. But the sauce pretty much sat there with no effort to perk it up with even a modicum amount of salt or even garlic. After about four mouthfuls, my boring meter kicked in. Others ordered the chicken parmesan which they found to be overcooked and somewhat dry. For some stomachs, the marinara sauce was a little sharp (acidic). Perhaps another time and another menu selection might secure another star? read more

My review is fairly biased as I have relatively "simple" pasta tastes. My favorite pasta dish is "angel hair/linguini/spaghetti with garlic and oil." I like extra garlic too. Loads of giant slices of garlic. The kind of garlic that makes your breathe smell for days. (I eat the raw garlic at The Stinking Rose!) Presto Pasta is my kind of place because they allow you to make your pasta the way you want it. You start with a type of pasta (angel hair, spaghetti, etc.) and then add a sauce and then meat/vegetables. Each addition comes at a price, of course. You can even double the noodles for $2 (although my one time doing that resulted in an under-flavored plate). There is nothing spectacular about this place but for lunch under $10, it is pretty hard to do better. My favorite Italian place for lunch is still Marcello's but since I'm not made of money, Presto Pasta officially joins the lunch rotation. read more

Four stars for you Presto Pasta because: Kids love your pasta. Parents love that the kids eat your pasta and it's easy on the budget. Seniors love to stretch their SS checks by going here for dinner. You have a drive through and give dog treats out to people in cars with dogs (at least you did that in the past). You're family owned. It must be doing well since they just openned one up in Newbury Park. My family of 4 ate dinner here for a grand total of $14. My wife and I split the sampler special and the kids split a kids meal of fettucini alfredo. We also ordered a side of steamed broccoli. Everyone is full and happy at the end. It isn't gourmet but it is quick and easy and there is enough variety on the menu for everyone to find something they like. This is our default easy cheap place to eat out with the kids now. read more

When I first saw this place off of the freeway, I was befuddled how the words "pasta", "fast food", and drive thru" were connected. But man, this place has got it down. It's pretty decent food, and the experience was pretty cool. I would think this would be a chain all across the US. The menu is decent sized, with classics and very customizeable 'make your own' meal. I got the Shrimp Picatta ($9.49) and my girlfriend made her own Carbonara (~$8) and we added on a soup and drink. Overall, our meal came out to around $22 total. Great deal. The picatta sauce was incredibly lemony, but it was still good. I would steer clear of this in the future, unless you like lots of lemon or ask them to dial it back. Hers was good, but I honestly think we got their two weakest sauces. But I know the rest of their stuff is good, so I just think that was our fault. The presentation was surprisingly really nice, and they'll grate fresh parmasean for you when they take it to your table. The experience was really nice, and we'll be back again. So I waited to publish this since I have no animosity towards employees when they are not properly trained. Since mostly young adults work here they need to know what proper cleaning, service and food prep is. 1. When people order and ask for their salad before their main dish arrives this means they want it before their meal is brought to the table. This did not happen and it was all brought together. 2. When people ask for extra chicken in a meal it means they want EXTRA chicken. The meal had exactly 7 pieces of cut up chicken pieces. When you pay extra for something you expect extra. 3. Please make sure when you have a soda fountain that it dispenses properly. Too much soda water is not tasty at all. 4. The temperature inside a restaurant should not be like a sauna. It not only makes you lose your appetite but it is not comfortable at all. 5. Please take care of termites. Having them crawling on the window is just disgusting. 6. When cleaning it is rude to clean beneath customers who are eating. It gives the impression you want them to hurry up and move along. Especially if you do it multiple times while your customers are dining. 7. Also asking one time if everything is ok is acceptable but multiple times also comes across as a "why are you still here?" 8. I know the parmesan cheese is a costly item but if you ask me if I want some do not ask me after every rotation of your grater if that's enough. No a teaspoon is not enough. Overall I love the food and that is the redeeming quality but environment is unpleasant. read more

So let's not compare this place to all other Italian places in the world. Let's compare it to other quick service restaurants. Yeah, you can get a good, reasonably priced meal here. You can even get wine or beer to go with it. I like the combo meal with spaghetti, meat sauce and meat ball. It has good flavors, the meatball was large and well seasoned, and the pasta was properly cooked. Last time I had a pear and walnut salad to go with it. But I've had their Greek salad too. Order your dressing on the side. They tend to put on too much. Their salads are reasonably good -- nothing to do two huzzas and a back flip over. But remember the venue. Quick service. The Camarillo location has switched to Coke Products in the fountain. Still, they have a tropical iced tea that's pretty good. The Newbury Park location still has Pepsi products and that bomb peach iced tea. Godly. Go early in the evening to observe the generation gap. Blue hairs at one extreme and mommies with kids after practice at the other. The service is courteous and prompt. Considering most people don't tip there, the workers seem to have a great attitude. read more

Drive through pasta? Had to check it out... Went with a friend and ate in the restaurant.. The first thing I noticed was the people were all very friendly. I had the eggplant parm, he had the lasagna. We got the combos with a salad and drink. About $8.00 each. Not bad! You order at the counter, get your drink of choice, then sit down. Then they bring out your food. When the girl brought out the food, she asked if I wanted some fresh Parmesan cheese. When I said no, she said, "oh, come on..." She was very cute, so I took some. The salad was fresh, and the food was good! Not great, but a great bargain none the less! Then the girl came by again and asked how we were doing, and if we needed anything else. I don't do drive-through food stuff. But this is the best one here. The food is good nuff on a day i really don't want to cook (sometimes too often). Healthier than other drive-thrus. I really like the dressing for their Greek Salad (even much better than Daphne's dressing). My usual is the Eggplant Parmigiana. The kids like the spaghetti and the personal pizza. My fiance and I are planning on having it at for at least one of our wedding events. If you don't mind having grease all over (hands, fingers, face) and slurping long spaghetti strands in the car (or even risk spilling pasta sauce all over the car) then the concept of having a drive through pasta/pizza place is great! My boys love their pizzas + pastas so this place came in handy on our way home (which involved a 3 hour drive through LA). I didn't try any of the food here, but my boys thought they put too much butter (when I asked for light butter sauce) on the pasta. I did buy a pepperoni and cheese pizza and they looked/felt plastic-y by the end of the drive. The boys did not even want to touch the pizzas. My friends love this place. But i'm going to be brutally honest here. The taste of the food is IDENTICAL to Stouffers. At least the Lasagna and meatballs do. Now that isn't necessarily a bad thing because I love Stouffer's. It's just I get the sense that every time I eat here I'm essentially overpaying for food that I can get at the grocery market and stick in the microwave for half the price. Ohmahgah -- love, Love, LOVE Presto Pasta. Darian rung me up. She was awesome and helped me thru my indecisiveness and put me on to their zoodles which are delicious to the point to where you don't even miss the pasta. Food was fresh. I had fried artichoke for the first time and wasn't the least bit disappointed which Darian also convinced me to try. She really was awesome, that girl. Even their ranch is on point. I know you know what I'm talking about. Some anchors is just better. They provide you with fresh Parmesan shavings if you eat there AND to go. NO extra charge which... come on. Who does that?!? The Cajun chicken/shrimp penne is delicious! You can even customize your noodles which is HUGE considering the fact that I feel penne doesn't soak up the sauce like I'd like them to. My friend who I was with opted for the cheese tortellini which was cooked to perfection al dente. The red onions and peppers add that flare that's sometimes missing in pasta and THAT SAUCE is something special. Even the Tupperware they provide you with to take your food home with you is quality and the kind that you can actually reuse if you're resourceful like that and wanted to.
