I hadn't been to Pesto Pasta in years, and since I was in the mood for pasta and my family wanted something else, I decided to grab something to go. I ordered a gluten-free fusilli pasta. There aren't many options on their gluten-free menu; however, I decided to try their carbonara sauce with chicken. The sauce and pasta were good, but I didn't like the flavor of the chicken as much. The service was okay; the girl at the register seemed a bit serious. Although I appreciate that she asked if I needed a gluten-free menu when I was asking about their gluten-free options. The inside of the restaurant looks cute, but some of the seats are starting to look old, and it might be a good idea to replace them. They have pretty flowers on their tables, which was nice. I'm not sure if I would be back just based on their limited amount of gluten-free options. read more

I was like for lunch while I was in Ventura and I saw that I was really close to a Presto Pasta. I have seen multiple stores in the area so I was curious. I was very pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Now I'm kind of bummed that I didn't come here earlier. I had ordered my food online and I did a customized version - I was able to order my own pasta to my liking. I had to choose the sauce, the pasta, and if there's any different kind of proteins that I wanted. The portions are pretty big too and I was very full iron actually save some for later in the day afterwards. My food to be ready in about 15 or 20 minutes but I feel like it's probably done a little bit quicker than that. It was great since when I had gone into the store it was already there waiting for me. Customer service is great!!! Staff is always polite and friendly. The order however is always wrong. Cajun chicken penne is served differently every time I order it and when I address it they seem to have a reason each time. It usually comes in a bigger container with chicken, bell pepper, and onions. Yesterday I ordered it with no chicken (bc it's usually dry) but it also came without any bell pepper or onion so when I asked, they said I only get those ingredients when I order it with the chicken‍. It was also a much smaller portion. It's a good thing I had rewards to make the price less otherwise I would have said no thank you and not taken it. I haven't been in for a while because this almost always happens to me. I'll have to try the one in Oxnard. BTW the one in Tulare county is GREAT!! read more

10/10 customer service, the gentlemen was great and checked up on my table. 5/10 food I was excited for the sampler, it came with a drink, fettuccini alfredo, lasagna and chicken picatta. It also came with a soup. The lasagna and garlic bread was the only tasty part of the dish 8/10. The fettuccini alfredo lacked flavor. It was more of a liquid sauce? I tasted the pasta more than the sauce. The chick picatta had a lemony but sour taste. The tomato soup was alright, I did do my best to finish my plate because i was hungry and because it was around $20 but yeah kinda disappointed. read more

I'd like to highlight the manager and young man that worked the register 3/3/26 at about 1pm, both were very pleasant and attentive. Food came out fairly quickly and was delicious! Huge portions! I know I said I'd never go back, but my husband against my advice bought a Chicken Marcella dinner tonight, that we bought have so loved in the past, and once again it was just awful. Was up in the Ventura area the night before the Mountains to Beach marathon. Was in the mood to do some carbo loading and saw presto pasta. I thought it was pretty good. Service was nice, interior was clean and well decorated, and the food was tasty. I ordered the chipotle chicken penne and a small Caesar salad. The flavors were good. I really enjoyed the salad as it had the perfect amount of dressing. However, the pasta had WAY too much sauce. I get that most people probably love the sauce, but it was too much for me. Almost a bit soupy. Next time, i would know just to order light on the sauce instead. If i lived in the area, I would love to come here more often. The staff is always very peppy! The phone calls and assistance with the take out orders are top notch. They are friendly, helpful, thoughtful, outgoing and thorough. I have never had a missing item from my order. They always double check and then offer dinner ware and condiments. Love it. The food is great. Good flavor; abundant portions, and tasty menu items. You can make it how you like it very easily. I don't dine in, but the dining space is big with lots of space to find seats. Seats are always available when I go. For my husband's birthday I told him to choose wherever he would like to go for dinner, and he chose Presto Pasta. We came here, and they were quick, friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. Andrew is the General Manager, and he came to our table several times to either bring us things or ask if there was anything else we needed. I can honestly tell you that the food was like homemade, only better! I'm sure my husband will want to come here again next year, but I want to personally think Andrew for the great service that he offered. It is well worth the money, and it cost us about $35 for both of us to eat a fabulous meal. read more

My daughter and I truly enjoy going to Presto Pasta from time to time. The food is always good, and several of the staff members consistently make our visits pleasant. Hannah, Andrew, and Keith are especially wonderful -- they are always kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy. Their positive attitudes really make a difference and keep us coming back. Unfortunately, our experience with David has been consistently disappointing. He never greets customers and often appears to be in a bad mood. I understand that everyone has off days, but this seems to be the case every time we visit. If he is in a management role (he wears a different shirt than the other employees), I hope there can be some improvement in customer interaction, as friendliness and basic courtesy go a long way in this type of environment. We will continue to visit because we enjoy the restaurant and appreciate the great service from the rest of the team. I just hope to see a more welcoming attitude from all staff members in the future. read more

Driving home from San Luis Obispo, we had to take a detour because, hangry. Pasta sounded perfect for our craving, plus it had my cousin's name on it. We had to go! I admit it's not like any other pasta place I've visited, but it's a good thing. It's restaurant style pasta disguised in a fast food pace. Presto Pasta is in a small strip mall, and it was pretty busy that night. The menu has something for everyone, pasta, salads, pizza, and sandwiches. I went with the Eggplant Parmesan with marinara sauce. Pasta was cooked al dente, eggplant firm and meaty, seasoned to taste with heat that I like, the sauce was chunky and the taste was full of fresh stewed tomatoes. Serving sizes were ample, and yes, most times I end up with leftovers, as I did that night. The Garlic Parmesan Knots were unbelievable. I should have ordered two because I could not stop eating them! Fresh, hot, garlicky-buttery, goodness! It was well worth the detour on the way back home to San Diego. read more

Came in for a quick dinner, and was greeted by a cashier Hannah. She gave me multiple options on different combinations I could do, as I was a little confused on what to order. (Large menu) she suggested trying the Cajun sauce on my pasta with the chicken parmigiana. Will order again! Very tasty. The staff is very insightful, and accommodating. Only gripe really is service, but only if who seems to be the manager on duty. The seemingly younger workers are always peppy, friendly and willing to please. Just stared expecting me to know when he was ready. We came as a group of two and I paid second. I wasn't sure if my friend got his to dine in or to go, so when David asked me what I wanted, I responded "same as him and pointed." The food here is really good! I worked in Italian restaurants for years and this "fast food" style is surprising! The 3 stars is because I'm a bit frustrated with how every time I order here I get a side Caesar salad and every time I ask for the dressing on the side and every time it comes with the dressing on it and slightly soggy! How hard is this? And why are you putting dressing on take out orders in the first place? All the years I worked in the restaurant industry it was standard practice to put the dressing on the side. It's a good idea. Then the salad doesn't get soggy. I suggest changing how you prepare and pack your takeout food. :o) I do recommend... and I will try again read more

How have I never reviewed Presto Pasta before?! What is wrong with me, I have only been having lunch here on/off for the past 16 years. Well, the time has come for me to open my mouth and give Presto the props it deserves. While I have never actually eaten pasta here (weird, I know) and every time I visit, I always have the same thing, a Greek Salad with chicken. Their dressing is very simple and tasty, and I enjoy the consistency of the quality more than anything. And while most of the time I take my salad to-go, I also enjoy eating in their dining room. The staff and manager are always very friendly and welcoming. They have fresh water for you to drink and it has that small restaurant vibe that give off that very homie feels. People say that the pasta dishes are good but, I have a really high standard for pasta so I don't want to take the chance and ruin my perception of this place by ordering something else. At some point I might try it but for now, I'll keep enjoying what I like and for these reasons alone, I recommend you too give it a try! read more
