So cool that there is even such a thing as a ginger beer (non-alcoholic) tasting room! Located in an area with a bunch of other local shops too so you can hop around to a brewery, winery, coffee and food. The space itself is pretty small but they do have indoor and outdoor space. I wouldn't come with more than 8 people. They have quite the spread of different ginger beer flavors and you can get a glass for $5 or a flight of 6 for $12. Being our first time we did the flight. We got some flavors like ube, guava and passionfruit. My favorite actually ended up being the original. The ginger flavor is so nice and not artificial at all. My only thing is that they all are pretty sweet and as someone who doesn't drink pop at all, I was getting a little tired of the sweetness by the end of the flight. Service was super friendly! Definitely worth a try.

Located in a parking lot with other businesses - open Thursday-Saturday. If you are looking for a non-alcoholic option, this is perfect! There are so many flavors. I recommend going for the flight first. All flavors were delicious, not too sweet. There's spots to sit inside and outside. Get some chips and salsa from Mr. G's and enjoy it with these amazing ginger beers! Flavors rotate too!

As someone who doesn't really drink alcohol, discovering Preston's ginger beer was awesome. I had my first taste at Bunny Chow, a South African restaurant in Miramar. I enjoyed the ginger beer alot and looked up the location and found out they were not too far away. They're in the same lot as Jaunt so there isn't a lot of parking. We came by on a rainy day so it wasn't too busy. I was super excited to try the flight which included 9 flavors. Hopefully I can remember all of them. Guava, blood orange, key lime, original, honey lavender, holiday spice, CBD, blueberry, and prickly pear hibiscus. Our number one by far was guava. The next favorites were blood orange, prickly pear hibiscus, and key lime. The owner was super friendly and it was a nice atmosphere to hang out in. A lot of people who came in knew the guy working there. Definitely felt like a nice small town place where everyone knows your name. We even got a few cans togo. And if they don't have the can in the fridge of the flavor you want, they can just can it for you right then and there. Super awesome!

We stumbled upon this hidden jewel in the Miramar industrial park. Freshly made ginger beer! The owner Harry invited us in to try a few samples of his home crafted ginger beer. We tried samples of the original, prickly pear & hibiscus, honey & lavender, blood orange, cara cara, ube, and grapefruit. They were all good, but I'd have to say the best was the prickly pear & hibiscus. We got a 16oz glass bottle for $6. A bit on the pricey side, but still cheaper than getting it in a bar or restaurant. It's nice to support small local businesses.

Came here about a month ago but I definitely had to write a review about Prestons! Nothing like a nice ginger beer after your meal! The flavors here are pretty unique and tasty. The ube and original are my favorites. Most of them are pretty sweet instead of tarte but I enjoyed the taste of all the ones we tried! Also, there were snacks and baked goods to go along with your drink. Their biltong, which is a type of beef jerky stick made a great snack! You don't really see ginger beer shops in San Diego so this one was a nice find! Tucked away in a plaza, it's a cozy spot to chill and grab some drinks.

What a cool spot to come and hang out! The owners, Brooke and Harry, are great and so is the ginger beer! Prestons' is located in The Mirilani Maker's District. The MMD, which I've only recently discovered and I'm totally in love with, is an industrial park full of cool and interesting people and places. The district prides itself on being craft makers, builders, brewers, and more. Trust me when I say, you could easily spend 4-5 hours in the district and still have more to see and do. Okay back to Prestons'. If you're into Canada dry or any other off the shelf ginger beer, you're going to love it here. Order a flight and try the various flavors that might include the likes of Prickly Pear Hibiscus, Blueberry, Cherry Lime, Blood Orange, Honey Lavender and more. They may also have some R&D blends going so if you're trying to spice it up ask about one of those. My personal favorite was the ginger beer/peruvian pineapple blend... FANTASTIC! Ginger beer is on tap and you can get it in a glass, can, or 32oz. and 64oz. growlers. Cans $3, 32oz. $10, and 64oz $20. Oh and while your here, get your hands on one of the South African sausage rolls made by Perkys. They're $6 but are definitely worth it you're hungry or need a quick snack. We ordered one and it was so good we had to get another before heading out for dinner. Trust me, get one and you'll love it. But before you go, check out their merch. Harry selected some really cool designs, colors, and fabrics that really make their gear worthwhile. They didn't have my size in the one I wanted but Harry said they're getting more sizes in soon. Thanks again to Harry and Brooke for the hospitality and awesome beverages. We'll see you again soon!

Such an amazing experience every time here! Very welcoming and the owner Harry is great! You can really see the passion he has behind this amazing ginger beer! Highly recommend checking this place out! Grab one to go or stay a while and have some good conversations with friends. They offer growlers as well!

Another one of my Miralani favorites! Seriously every store in this district is fueled with the most amicable and passionate owners. I really enjoyed chatting with this husband and wife team who let us sample all their unique delicious ginger beer flavors. My personal favorites were the lavender and passion fruit. BEST tasting ginger beer I've ever had! They are non-alcoholic however, you can add vodka to make the best cocktails. They also sell other tasty, one of a kind South African snacks like biltong, which is basically elevated jerky and its sooo good. The owner was kind enough to let us sample some after I casually asked what it was when I saw it on the menu. Officially a fan. Definitely don't miss out on this place! You're gonna love it.

I finally came in for a visit. It was during Covid so it was not so busy. I sampled all 7 flavors on tap n fell in love w the passionfruit, mango n pineapple mint. I bought 4 bottles. I love ginger beer in my cocktails n I've always stuck to Fevertree cos it's the only brand that has a strong ginger flavor. Preston is my new favorite now. You can totally taste the ginger. During my tasting, I felt a small buzz coming on lol. They have a tasting room n a small hangout area if you need to take a break from your alcohol walkabout in Miralani. Support your local small businesses.

I actually was visiting a nearby bakery and happened to see Preston's In the same complex. The complex has a bakery, a brewery, and a few other small businesses. When I saw Ginger Beer I immediately hoped they were open and found that they were. I was greeted by Preston, the owner/ Brewer. Preston is from South Africa and is making his grandmothers recipe to make delicious craft Ginger Beer. If you haven't had Ginger Beer before, it's usually a non alcoholic drink, but can be fermented to make it alcoholic. Preston is passionate about Ginger Beer and the Ginger Beer shows it. Fresh ginger is used to make his Ginger Beer that is a carbonated beverage with a great ginger kick. Preston crafted us a special Ginger Mocktail with ginger beer, Angostura bitters and an Italian cheery. WOW! So refreshing on a hot day. Preston had us sample some of the other flavored Ginger Beers he was working on: Kumquat Ginger Beer, Lychee Ginger Beer and another flavor I'm unsure of...but delicious. Such great Ginger Beer and a kind and gracious host, Preston is doing great things with a real passion for his craft Ginger Beer. This is the type of business and owner everyone should make the time to visit!

The menu, show casing the delicious flavors they offer! Also the snacks 12 ounce cans 16 ounce bottles 32 ounce growlers 64 ounce growlers

After carefully searching for a company to take us brewery hopping for our birthday, we decided to call them. Loved how they offer small tours that you can customize. We did not wish to visit the bigger breweries but instead wanted to get a more craft beer feel, with speciality brews on tap. We also wanted to speak to a live person and not book something online. How do you choose between 153+ breweries to visit? How do you know they are right for you and what you have in mind? You hire professionals, which is what Summer and Lars are. We had the pleasure of having Summer as our Brew Hop tour guide, and you could tell her passion and knowledge of beer. The rapport she had with the breweries we visited was visible, and this made our afternoon even more special as the friendship with brewers and staff made us feel welcome. As one of the oldest established brewery tour companies in the San Diego area with over ten years of driving and visiting breweries, we highly recommend them for parties of any size. We chose The Connoisseur Tour

She planned everything for me but only because I didn't know much about beer. She knows SD she knows the beer she knows the breweries and the industry. And ended up glued to her words as she seeming mix dropped every other beer fact.

We were picked up at our hotel, all 28 of us climbed into two trucks and drove to our first destination Ballast Brewery. They have an amazing selection of beers to taste. Our Beer Guides were awesome. They shared their vast beer knowledge at the next brewery Saint Archer. Great beer there too! The truck rides were fun as they were full of beer and water. We hooked up our own music to listen to 80s tunes. (I'm 50 remember? :p ) Finally we got to Duckfoot Brewery where my gluten free brother could have some beer as well! Everyone could join in on this tour! Something for everyone! (They had wine at Ballast too) The catered bbq food was SO good. Snarfed that down with some great beer. Hotshots Brewery Tours is amazing. They made my Birthday pretty epic. The family and friends will be talking about it for awhile! They all want to go again. Im like YES..but you're all paying for it this time :p Nick and Canyon were beyond awesome (sorry if I spelled your name wrong :/ ) Paul is probably looking forward to not receiving anymore of my frantic emails..:p You guys did a fantastic job. The old school firetruck was a pretty sweet ride! There was plenty of beer and water inside for us to begin the journey. You could also hook up your phone to the sound system and play your own music. Nick brought us to three breweries (Ballast Point, St. Archer's, & Mission) and at each one he would give us a little insight on the history of each brewery. Once inside, he set us up with some drinks, and even showed us around Ballast Point. HotShots also provided lunch, which was very delicious! We had chicken wings, subs, pizzas, and fries. Nick was a pretty friendly guy, and a great guide! While at each brewery, he hungout with us and played cards. He even beat us in Pusoy Dos (Filipino card game) numerous times. Pretty sure he was just hustling us though... Overall HotShots was a great experience. We got to go to 3 different breweries, drink a lot, and not have to worry about how to get to the next brewery. We all had a great time, and if you book them for your brewery tour, you'll have a great time as well!
