Cheesy bread instead of stuffed cheesy bites
    Lily L.

Not worth the 20$. Loose hotdogs & bread in one, & instead of cheesy bites we got some small n some half size bread balls with cheese on THE OUTSIDE. Normally I'm not a hater but when my kids don't wanna eat they're fav snack when coming to the mall... LOOSE MONEY

I really didn't want something too heavy, so I ended up at the Pretzelmaker. It's been years since I last stopped by the Pretzelmaker and I kinda looked forward to a giant pretzel. Upon walking up to the ordering counter, I was able to secure the last giant pretzel & got the garlic pretzel. What can I say about my pretzel? My quick snack sure hit the spot but the garlic flavor wasn't really there, as they used some kinda garlic salt and not real garlic. At a little over $6 bucks for this pretzel, and can say it probably wasn't of good value for what I got, which explains why I probably don't come here on da regular. Lol!

I had just finished a 10-hour shift at work and was on my way to my son's friend's birthday party when my son had an accident shortly after the party started. He was extremely embarrassed and traumatized, and I was doing everything I could to help him. After getting him to the bathroom, I realized there were no paper towels or napkins available to help clean him up. I was running around trying to find help because my son was waiting for me, feeling ashamed and overwhelmed. When I came to Auntie Anne's, the young employee immediately stepped up and helped me. Without hesitation, he gave me a handful of napkins so I could get back to my son and take care of him. He didn't ask questions, he didn't hesitate, and he didn't make me feel embarrassed. He simply saw someone who needed help and showed kindness. That moment meant more than he probably realizes. What may have seemed like a small gesture was actually a huge act of compassion for a mom and a little boy going through a very difficult and emotional moment. To this young man at Auntie Anne's: you deserve recognition. You are a true example of kindness and humanity. Thank you for being someone who chose to help when we needed it most. You are a hero in our eyes, and I hope your kindness is recognized.

Free Pretzel at Auntie Anne's in Pearlridge, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. First of all: Happy National Pretzel Day! On 4-26-24, Friday, I saw an email that urged me to get a FREE Pretzel! Ooh! Okay! I searched my Yelp app and saw that there were TWO Auntie Anne's locations at Pearlridge Mall. I know I've been to the one by Starbucks and the Food Court at "Uptown". I ended up there and asked where the "Downtown" Pearlridge location was... I parked on the side of the mall by Gen and Uncle's... across from Pali Momi Medical Center. Ahhh... I usually park by Longs and ride the escalator up. This is the level with TonyMoly and Dunkin. The theater is above this level. (Note: this mall is complex to me.) Sean was the efficient and friendly worker who greeted me right away and wanted to start my order. I told him that I was going to get the free Pretzel for National Pretzel Day... he packaged it right away with some napkins. Sean asked the customer ahead of me about how he found the QR code on the app - since it was challenging for me to find it. The customer helped me get my free Pretzel! Thank you! It was warm, soft, and yummy! I like the littled bits of salt... not too much, but just right! The manager was making fresh pretzels... she rolled the dough, cut it, and twirled it around. She made it look so easy! Wow! This was a great find! I didn't notice this location of Auntie Anne's... and it's been here since the mall opened! LOL! Learning everyday!!!

But our second time was a mellow Wednesday for lunch and while the timing was better (still not synced), the food was either meh or completely shameful. Yes, shameful! Wife got the Caesar salad with char siu chicken katsu. The chicken was ono but the salad was lazy. Basic greens with a low-quality bottled sauce squeezed on top. No wonder it came out five minutes before mine. I got the fish tacos with tots (extra $2), and this dish was the most egregious rip off I've ever seen in a restaurant. No wonder the server dropped it and ran. For $18, I got three street taco-sized flour tortillas, goopy mayo-laden "slaw", and pico with a teeny tiny piece of fish on top. See the pics! Smaller than my thumb. Barely two tater tots in size. And because it was plopped into mayo slaw, it was soggy on arrival. The fish was also suspiciously fishy tasting. I debated eating it. I ended up making one taco with all the fish and a potato taco with some tots before finally giving up. I know things are tough for restaurants right now. But this was ridiculous. I paid and left and called it a lesson learned. I'll likely stick to the Pucks Alley location from now on. Still some pride in what they serve there.

Unfortunately, something has changed recently and you can see it throughout recent reviews here, which tells me this is a taught practice by management and not just one shady server. Mainly, being up charged or sold "extras" without disclosing they're actually add ons. Our table of 4 had 3 different sandwiches, 2 burgers and a chicken sandwich. While ordering the server offered each of us, "would you like fries, onion rings, or salad with that?" There was no disclosure of it being additional, and she never used the words add ons or extras. When the bill was received, all 3 that received the sandwiches and "sides" were shocked to see upcharges (example $5.00 extra for 1/4 cup of greens and 2 slices of cucumber) when we were being offered these with our orders. When I asked the server about the charge, I asked why it wasn't disclosed it was extra, and that we only answered her question of which side we wanted because she offered as if it was included, her responses were baffling. The first was "There's nowhere on island that serves fries with a sandwich", to which I said, "but you didn't say it was extra, you offered them as if they were included", she said "it's written on the menu". To note: fries, onion rings, and side salads are listed on the menu, in their own section, separate from the sandwich sections. So while it is written, they know exactly what they're doing when they offer you sides or sauces, and you can see other recent reviews here making the same complaint. This left an extra bad taste for our table as we had come in to help support them after the recent tropical storm left them without power. We were excited to participate in a local event they were hosting and help support them after losing stock and days being closed from the storm, just to have this shady process of being upsold things we didn't order (on a $350+ bill that also included shirts from their merch store). Scuzzy way of thanking your community for coming in and patronizing your restaurant. Really disappointed after years of Hana Koa being my favorite place.

Everyone was very nice there and the space was a good sports bar to watch the World Cup at. We sat at the bar so we could see the TVs, but there were plenty around the restaurant. The food was mixed reviews. The shrimp fried rice was really good, a bit on the oily side (personally don't mind that) and lacked salt, but that was an easy fix. The special was this pork belly (I think) and honestly it didn't wow me. It was a bit bland and also the amount was so small. The Macaroni salad was good and rice was good. The slaw, to me, was too crunchy and could have marinated longer to soften up. Again, this dish lacked salt. The Pina Coladas, were very tasty and refreshing, but were too sweet so it was hard to get a second one and come close to finishing. I had my partner help me drink it because it was too much. He seemed a bit annoyed when my fiancé asked about their own brews....almost like it would've been easier for him to just order Coors or something. You're a brewing company...people are going to have questions. All 4 of us ordered something different- Sicilian pepperoni pizza, some type of burger, pulled pork loaded fries, and a macadamia nut chicken salad. Food was average...you can tell they cater to tourists.. Our server never checked on us. He took our order, a runner brought the food out, and the next time he came to the table was with a bill.
