When I arrived at 8:20pm, the whiteboard sign that said "closed" was on the counter. The employees were there cleaning up, so I asked to confirm if they were really closed. The employee was not friendly and said yes. Pretty disappointed that they decided to close up early, especially considering that I called before making the drive. read more

The service was friendly and helpful. The workers were quick, clean, and demonstrated how cold and thick my Oreo milkshake was, but I can't sat that it was a great milkshake. It isn't as milky as I expected it to be. It was sort of like a McFlurry but with more toppings. read more

Standing in line at 8:38 PM on December 20th, when the employee put up the "closed" sign and said they were no longer serving--even though the posted closing time is 9 PM. If a business says it's open until 9 PM, that usually means customers are served until 9, not that cleanup starts early so staff can leave right at 9. read more

I've been buying ice cream cakes from this place. Hit and miss. Because the workers are young, I don't think they are trained well or there is no common sense . I asked to write happy birthday on the cake. Good thing I called. All the guy did was write the name. In my whole life, did you ever see a birthday cake with only a name on it . He put it in the middle. It was big. It took 3 hours to call before someone answered the phone. Then I got there they didn't fix it yet. It started to melt while they started to fix it. Horrible. Almost every time that we come here anytime after 8 the machines to make shakes/blended beverages are closed down. Tonight I got there at about 815 and the machines were shut down and there was a sign that said "cones and sundaes only". DQ and OJ locations are becoming an endangered species. I may be showing my age here, but I remember the stand-alone DQ in Wahiawa. I also used to enjoy getting a moolatte from the Ala Moana locationbor a Julius from the Pearlridge uptown location. Fast forward to present day, the Wahiawa location is gone, so are the Pearlridge and Ala Moana locations. I'm not sure where to go besides Windward Mall for blizzards, Orange Julius original drinks (my fave is strawberry), and DQ's other soft serve creations. This location is located in the food court in the mall, but facing outward towards the Kia sales store. Staff is fast and efficient and usually friendly. They work pretty fast so I hardly find myself waiting for too long for my drink or dessert. I feel the world has gone the way of boba drinks, so stop by and get one of these drink/dessert items if you want to enjoy an OG treat! read more

Hubby, daughter and I came here for a snack. He got us chocolate sundaes, chili dogs, Lay's chips and a drink. The chili dog wasn't that good because the chili tasted like it came from a can. My favorite part was the chocolate sundae. This was amazingly delicious and had chocolate syrup inside the rim of the cup. Located to the side of the food court and there were tables directly up from. I definitely like the ice cream here but I don't suggest the chili dogs. Just not good. Location was just okay. Dairy Queen located in the Windward mall food court. They had a line of customers that was continually standing in line which the service was pretty fast, so if you go there don't mind the lines because I was surprised that it moved along pretty fast. My wife tried the mint chocolate chip shake and she enjoyed the taste and texture of the shake it wasn't watery or melted down. read more

Came here on a Friday evening and there was several workers. 1 girl who was at the cashier was extremely rude, didn't even look up to acknowledge there was customers in front of her when I said does anyone work here? She turned and said to other workers "Can someone take this persons order" so 1 worker came to take my order and another made it. I got a large Pina colada which I get whenever we come to WWM. Got to my car and took 1 sip of my drink and immediately spit it out and dumped my drink. It was very nasty and bitter tasing. I know what it should taste like since I get it more than once. Wasn't gonna waste my time going back in so I took it as a $7 loss. Management should look into their camera and see the workers and speak to them. I love this app! I got a free mini blizzard with a mobile order so I just got a bag of chips (because I love potatoes). The cherry chip blizzard was sooo good I forgot how good these are! I saw people walking by with them and had to get one. They even do the thing where they flip it upside down when they serve it to you. Def will be back. What's a Dairy Queen WITHOUT WHIP CREAM??? Especially with a Target a few feet away??? I found this to be irritating. I have supported DQ at Windward Mall for years, especially during COVID when business was nil :( But that's not the only disappointment today! I couldn't get the cashiers, plural as in 2 employees, to properly REDEEM my points for a small shake. The guy literally asked me if I'm accumulating points or trying to use points ... in which case he doesn't know how the app works so.... duh. I stated again, I am REDEEMING points. We saw there was no line and wanted to get a treat. We understand that it's annoying for customers to come just before closing but they still had a lot of time left (more than half an hour left) and was just standing around doing nothing. Our orders were taken by a boy and he spent 5 minutes not paying attention to us but trying to write on his little sign that they're "colsed" (spelt it wrong and everything). Luckily he had a girl working with him and she asked him what he was doing since she saw us waiting for him to take our order. He looked up and tried to play off being annoyed mumbling "what the f--k" under his breath but we immediately clocked him and he started acting all nice. Always a solid place to get a treat at. Just a little spot in the mall. Usually only one worker, the times I've been it's been the same guy each time. He's super quick and friendly, he definitely knows how to do his job well. The place isn't the cleanest but with him being by himself I'm sure there isn't too much time to clean up. I love Dairy Queen Orange Julius. The original strawberry and orange Julius is a perfect drink for any day, they're so light and have just the right amount of flavor. Today we tried the orange dreamsicle cone and it was the bomb. During Christmas they usually have the Oreo peppermint blizzard (my fave!) but this year they had a hot chocolate peppermint blizzard, oh well. There used to be Dairy Queen's all over the island, now they're pretty hard to find. They also changed their menu over the years and took away my favorite thing, the pepperoni pizza dog!! :( This location has really good customer service, but I'm hardly in the area to frequent it. read more

Been in the area in for a bit when I house sat. So we frequented Windward Mall many times. I love soft serve so getting a oreo blizzard or just an ice cream cone is great. No complaints here. (Friends and family) Tonight, he made it an issue about ordering a sundae in a kids size for my niece. He said he couldn't because he couldn't charge it out as a kids size (mind you I come here a lot and order kid sizes every time) I kindly replied that it was ok and I'll gladly pay for the small size but to get the sundae in a kids size. Every time I come here or pass by, there's one employee just standing off to the side watching and silently judging all the other workers. Taking the "supervisor" title a bit too literally perhaps. Holy cow, it's been a long time since I've been to Dairy Queen. This is one of the few left, and I was glad it was there. The woman at the counter was friendly (called me "Dear-y"!), and service was fast.
