We attended the most amazing 60th Birthday party here on a Saturday night at the end of September. As soon as Lee & I walked through the door, we knew it would be more fun than we have had in a while. My friend celebrated her birthday with a friend who was also turning 60, and they spared no detail in setting the many rooms up for fun, fun fun ! You walk into the front and there was a huge room to the right that had a couch, cozy chairs, game tables & an area tucked in the corner for live music. behind this room, we later had a full buffet dinner with long tables that could seat at least 30 people, after which dessert was placed on yet another table in that room. To the left as you walk in was where they set up a full bar, with a bartender who was on the other side of the counter in what is the big kitchen where the pretzels would later be baked. Around to the left were more rooms..one set up with a huge amount of tables to roll out & prepare, salt the dough, all of the necessary equipment & amenities were layed out, behind this room was another small cozy room with couch & chairs.. All of these rooms were decorated like Granny's Attic with little nick knacks & treats, penny candy etc. We were in heaven ! Scattered around were table top games (think Knock Hockey, Connect Four, Chess etc.) so everyone was able to play a game if they wanted. There was a modern photo "booth" not really a booth but an area with photo props & hats, and a round lighted camera that took photos and videos, which printed out right there. All in all, a home run of a time. This RVC location was not close to our home, but I would travel there to make a party or to spend some time pretzel making. So much fun ! The Staff, amazing. I believe the servers & bar tender were from a company, but the owner was on site working the entire time..everyone was so nice, they were busy but never stopped smiling. Been here a few times; we love this place it's real cozy; real nostalgic !!!! The Jumbo soft Pretzels are awesome; love to dip in their cheese sauce n their dill pickle sauce ..... Also you must try their ricotta cookies !!! This place will make you feel like a kid again.... they have a lot of the old school candy ..... The girls behind the counter are very friendly and offer you samples if your not sure what you like ..... Yelpers; regarding hot pretzels ...... if you happen to be there when they just come out your in luck .... JUST LIKE A BAGEL STORE ITS A HIT OR MISS THEY BAKE OUT FOR THE DAY !!! Went to visit some friends an bright along a couple of bottles of wine. Was going to bring a cake as well and then I passed by The Pretzel Stop. Bingo! Picked up a large box of fresh , warm from the oven , soft pretzel nuggets. Also chose two dips to accompany those little salted pillows from heaven. Chose the honey mustard dip and cheddar dip. Next time I'll try the chocolate, ranch, chipotle or cinnamon sugar. Order stuffed pretzel bites in advance. Check the online menu. Different and very delicious. Went over big. read more

I found this place on yelp. They have an assortment of regular and stuffed pretzels . They also have candy . They staff is very nice and the store gives you an old time feel.. NOW let's get to the real stuff.. I stopped to get my niece pretzels but when I saw the box come out and they didn't want to close it because they were hot....I said "I'm in trouble" ...lollllll As soon as I got in the car I started eating....OMG... I have lived in Rockville Centre since June. I have run past this store many times when out for my morning run. Finally stopped in with my girlfriend!! Who knew you could have a business selling pretzels? There are other items (candy, chocolate covered Oreos, soda, etc.) There were even samples at the counter! I only purchased a small bag of soft pretzel nuggets (and a container of the old candy Circus Peanuts). Nuggets were warmed up, placed in a brown paper bag. They never made it the 3/4 mile drive back home!!! DELICIOUS!!!! Definitely worth stopping in again!!! read more

Sorry but this was a HUGE disappointment. I walked in at 2pm on a Saturday and there is a container with Salted Pretzels there...I ask for one, the kid grabs one with no gloves on and asked if I want it " heated up".....I say yes and he puts it in a small over which makes it harder and luke warm. I asked him why he isn't wearing gloves....he proceeds to give me an answer that made NO SENSE...NOTE TO OWNER......please have your staff serving , wear gloves. The pretzel was THREE DOLLARS and tasted EXACTLY like one of those salted monstrosities you get in a cart on 50th street in Manhattan. Sorry but THE BEST Pretzels and nuggets I ever had are at the Philly Pretzel Shop on Jerusalem Avenue in North Bellmore...I stopped there on a lark last week one day at 11am....got a DELICIOUS, HOT, FRESH Salted pretzel and a cup of fresh pretzel nuggets.....INCREDIBLE. Really cute shop and received friendly service. I do hope they do well and will be back to try some other things and hope to be able to give them more stars. Anyone who tries these pretzels thinking they are going to be buttery like Auntie Anne's will definitely be disappointed. However, this is not the type of pretzel they are selling here and while knowing this I was still underwhelmed with my pretzel nuggets. They just didn't hit the spot. I made my own sauces at home and this certainly helped. I would also agree with the other review don't even try to save them for the next day - even in a baggie they were hard as a rock. Again, I do love the rustic charm this place has and old school candy and other treats. This is my favorite pretzel store. I was introduced to these pretzels approximately two years ago at a Brooklyn block party and was impressed. I do not live in LI but stop in to say hello to the owner any time I am in the area visiting friends or working. The workers are always pleasant and have a great Thursday special 12 pretzels for $10. Excellent. I've heard so much about this place from so many people. I can only say one thing to a certain reviewer on here (Alice C.) obviously what you want is mass produced undercooked pretzels soaked in clarified butter or slathered in some sort other disgusting seasoning. What I want is a home made pretzel that I can put any number of condiments on it I want on it but is better yet just the way they make them and serve them. Not soaked in some buttery oil garbage found on movie theater floors. Oh. The pretzels were not warm? I guess some people don't know how to work an oven, toaster oven or microwave, and their pretzels hold up in any of the three. Awesome job People. Keep it up and I'll keep going back. This store is a local treasure. The pretzels are awesome and fresh. They reheat well when frozen for future use. The trays of nuggets are great for parties. They also sell hard pretzels from Pennsylvania if you have the urge for a greater crunch. A great snack when driving around the village. read more

I live in Philadelphia and my kids love soft pretzels. When we were visiting family on Long Island, we stopped in at The Pretzel Stop. The shop has such a warm and homey feel, full of games and folk art, and the owner Carolyn welcomed us like we were family. But more importantly, those pretzels were big, hot, fresh, and tasty. Honestly, they were better than any I can get in Philly and that's a big statement. My son wishes we lived locally so that he could have his birthday party there, since his friends would love making their own. read more
