We were looking for a low milage reliable car in the 9-10 yo range for our college aged daughter to have at ASU since public transport there is not much better than in SJ! From the moment we walked in to look at a used Mazda3, to getting the keys, the process was warm, friendly, professional and customer service was outstanding! We were a bit hesitant after we found the place as it is behind another dealer on Stevens Creek and the lot is not "fancy". But we were put at ease by Ximena who stopped what she was doing (closing another sale) to greet us and quickly got us keys to take the car for a test drive while she finished up with her other client. Because they buy some of these at auction, the car did not have service records which is always iffy, but it did have a clean CarFax as far as accidents go. We asked if we could have our mechanic take a look and they made an appointment for us to pick the car up the next day and take it to his shop. Super honest way to do business and we appreciated it so much! They worked with us on our budget which was pretty set and there was no high pressure sales tactics being used. We bought a car for our daughter in April. We paid for the license and registration transfer, which was set to expire in June. We renewed the registration on time and were notified by the DMV that the credit card charge used for the last registration transfer had been contested. We were responsible for paying an additional $311 for the registration costs before we purchased the car. We paid the dealer for the two months of registration between our purchase and when it expired, and now we are being required to pay the DMV for the two months that we already paid to the dealer, and for the 10 months before we owned the car, as well as fees and penalties to renew our registration. So far, no one has been helpful. Major hassle that is still unresolved, I will buy the next two kids' cars elsewhere. read more

UPDATE: several weeks after my review their employee decided to message me, you can see the screen shot, (calling me a p**sy) it was a very unprofessional thing to say. I am updating my review now to 1 star. Stay far far away from this unprofessional business! I went here Saturday afternoon to take a look at Audi Q5 they had listed on their website. Pride Motors is by appointment only, which is different but ok. So I texted back and forth with their number, they asked me to confirm they day of around 330 so I did, I confirm the time I am going to be there, and there was no response? I had to follow up again. Which was kind of annoying. So I arrive at pride motors, with us a parking lot behind a round table pizza, there is a sign for pride motor showing and one spot, it felt really shady. If this wasn't Santa row area I probably would of left right away. So I took a look at the car, and it needed a new windshield, front bumper also had damage, non of this was listed on their website. When I brought this up, the gentleman said "it used car, what you expect" I have purchased my fair share of cars and I have never had someone act like that, like yes it's a used car that needs a new windshield. He had exactly what I was looking for a Mazda CX5 AWD, great color, great miles, really clean and kept up. He got me financed and explained everything to me. Luiz went as far as to take the car to my mechanic to have it looked at for me and picked it up because I was not able to get there in time after work. The process it was really quick and easy they, The guy as an actitud which It was not a big of deal but the main thing is that we got everything ready with in 30 minutes we left with a 2007 Honda CR-V 90K milles on it. We drive from Daly city to San Jose In the way back the dash through some lights on and the car stop in the middle on the freeway I call they guy that I want to return the car and he say NO No really quick. Had a great experience today. They are a smaller used car dealership with a remote lot. Location is a little odd but still fairly easy to find. Let them know you are coming in advance and they can have the car ready for you. We went for a test drive, set our budget and they worked with it. We had cash so we didn't need to secure financing. They got most of the paperwork ready by the time we arrived to pick up the car. They were very transparent about the vehicle history. Do not buy a car from Ronnie. My friend bought a 2015 Ford Fusion here. The check engine light came on the very next day. The finance company called and asked if the car was okay. My friend told the finance company the check engine light was on. Ronnie called him mad and promised to fix the car. Ronnie's mechanic was unable to repair the Fusion by changing the oxygen sensors. My friend got the car diagnosed by a different mechanic and was told it was a catalytic converter. Ronnie said he would buy the part and have it sent. That didn't happen either. My friend continues to call, text and email but Ronnie stopped responding. I recommend my friend to file a small claims suit against the business. Live and learn. Don't deal with this fraudster. If you don't believe me I have the emails to prove it. Edit: Ronnie is skewing the facts with his comment below. The car NEVER got fixed by his mechanic. He changed the 02 sensors but the check engine light never turned off. The problem is still the same with the EXACT same code that your mechanic pulled. Maybe you knew about the issue when you bought the car maybe you didn't but the fact is you offered an express warranty and sold a vehicle with an emissions issue. Easy win in court and I'd be happy to represent him if you don't believe me. read more

Being that this was my first time purchasing a used car (I'm a graduating senior in college), what was most important to me was fair prices, transparent non-condescending staff, and a solid product. Prices: I felt that Pride has quite fair prices across the board and within the Kelley Blue Book price range. I was pleased with the price I purchased the Subaru for. Staff: Ed from Pride was super polite and easy to contact. The whole buying experience was very positive--they were honest and readily provided all documentation/info on the car I was interested in. They allowed me to take as long as I'd like to test drive and inspect the vehicle. After finding some minor repairs that the car needed, I was able to have the price lowered without much hassle. Product: After a few days with the car, it's too early to tell. But given the service history and the diagnosis from my local mechanic, the car is in great shape and should last for years. One thing that I noticed from some other reviews was that the lot itself appeared scketchy. Yes, it is behind some other buildings and isn't the most aesthetic, but that honestly doesn't matter that much at the end of the day. Great experience! read more

This is the only no-pressure dealership I've ever been to in my life. Ronnie was very courteous and honest about the car I came to see. He was a laid back person to talk to, and allowed me to test drive the car promptly. Although I didn't purchase a vehicle right away, I can see myself coming back here if they have another car that fits my needs/wallet. They typically have a little over 14 cars on their lot, so you don't have a huge selection in front of you. I bought a car from farid I found on car guru. Took to my mechanic prior to buying to find out out a few inexpensive things would be needing done. One thing turned into bigger things. The transmission needed service. Did that. Mechanic found several metal shavings in the plug in the transmission. I let the guys know at pride. All they did was reassure me it's a "great" car and it's normal. They only offered me to buy expensive warranty that won't cover everything. I asked for a car exchange and they said that the dmv is processing the paperwork, that it's too late and their inventory is always changing. All I can say is bring an OBD scanner with you (which I failed to do) and scan the vehicle you're interested infor any codes to be sure. The SUV I bought had a code that was erased and it popped up about 75 miles of driving later. Misfire on one of the cylinders and turned out a busted valve. Cost $$$ to fix. Edit 11/29/2017: I signed an "As is" contract at purchase, meaning Ithe buyer accepts the known & unknown problems of the car. The seller cannot help me. I've paid for parts and service and there is no going back period. I signed that contract. The car NOT passing SMOG. I'm 3 months late on smog. BMW Stevens Creek is quoting 5k to fix a misfire due to "worn out lifters". I researched, common problems with the BMW E46. This is not one of them, however It can be for any car. Meaning service is at par. Seller was friendly and location was okay. Edit: 10 months later still a misfire with 2k of repairs for 1 problem. I docked two stars because I there should have been some more communication about some of things on the car. I've felt like I should have got more of a deal. I purchased a 2003 325 xi for a total of 6800 rounded down. It some misfire problems on day 3 of ownership and I was told the SES light had been reset. Buying a bimmer, I already researched the problems and cost of ownership. I knew what I was getting into. The bmw dealership told me it was 5k to fix the problem. The sales rep at BMW in stevens creek told me to find an independent shop to fix the problem. I'm having the front left axle, 3 coils and injectors, and a fuel filter replaced at an independent shop for about 1k. If I did the job myself it would be less than $300 not including the fuel filter. In conclusion I would buy again. I just would like more communication on the parts that needed to be fixed. For potential buyers: I won't count the broken hazard light/door lock buttons, no spare tool box , or spare key that didn't come with the car as part of the review. This is just an f.y.i. for getting a good deal for you future shoppers. Just make sure you guys inspect it well or have a mechanic inspect it. I made the fault of doing a quick self inspection instead of having a professional do it. read more

Farid wasn't pushy and was totally fine with me taking the van to a highly rated independent local mechanic to have it checked out (the mechanic thought it was in great condition & recommended purchasing it). There ended up being one small issue with the van after I purchased, and I let Farid know about it.
