Build your own pasta experience is equally unique and yummy! Clean environment and friendly staff. Great addition to the college food scene in Baton Rouge!

Wow!!! Oh my gosh! My Dad made us pavlova when we were kids. This is the only place I've found the carries the nostalgia of my childhood. I cannot recommend them enough! Run, fast, order!

I saw Iverstines in a YouTube clip and it looked intriguing. Apparently it's intriguing to lots of people because it was packed when we went. Despite the crowd, the wait was brief and the staff was friendly and keeping people moving. On our first visit we got sandwiches. The Cuban was a great choice. It was everything a Cuban should be. I would've liked more mustard but it was the best Cuban I've had in BR. Next trip we did a plate lunch. At the recommendation of a dude in line, I got the Tri tip. Solid choice. The green beans on the side were very good. In addition to the lunches, Iverstine is a full butcher. I will report back when I try some of their pre packed stuff. PS. They sell a hat with a piece of bacon on it that says Thiccccc. If anyone wants to get me that as a Christmas gift, I promise to change my profile photo to me in that hat.

They had a vegetarian menu - which had a variety of pasta options. In addition to the vegetarian menu, other items like salads on their regular menu are vegetarian as well. Their pasta is all homemade and it tasted amazing. I got the burrata salad, of which I requested beets be added to - delicious. Then the vegetarian baked ziti - of good size and definitely shareable, I ended up bringing a box home, also delicious. Their wine and cocktails list was pretty extensive as well. Ample free onsite parking. Whether you're looking for the perfect date night spot, girls nice dinner spot, or elevated family dinner - this is the place. 12/10!!!

I started off with that melt in your mouth Caesar carpaccio (raw ribeye but make it fancy) and those crispy crab arancini with the rich smoked tomato hollandaise; straight flavor bombs. For the main, the squid ink spaghetti with shrimp + jalapeño pesto was DIFFERENT in the best way! And that veal milanese over red wine risotto? Crispy, tender, and packed with flavor every bite. Dessert sealed the deal! King Cake panna cotta with orange curd was smooth, creamy, and perfect for Mardi Gras season. Plus that mascarpone cheesecake was light, rich, and straight dangerous. $62 for this whole experience during Restaurant Week is a STEAL! Soft lighting and subdued music gave it an intimate feel. We decided to do an assortment of appetizers and desserts so we could try more things. We opted for 4 appetizers, the famous bread, a cup of a soup and two desserts with cappuccinos to complete our meal. You do have to pay for bread here, but trust me, you're going to want to. We got some red sauce to go with it, but we both personally preferred the bread without it. Next we got a cup of lobster bisque. The flavor was good , and there was a surprising heat to it, which honestly made me want to keep eating it. For appetizers, we ordered the seared ahi tuna, the eggplant stacks, the toasted ravioli and the beef manicotti. However, they were out of the manicotti so Joel suggested the seafood stuffed mushrooms, and I'm glad he did! I'm not a big mushroom fan, but I gladly ate these and would order them again. My complaint is that there are only three ... and I was sharing them. For dessert, we got the crème brûlée and the Italian brownie cake. The crème brûlée was perfection and the brownie cake was deliciously rich and satisfying. There are so many dishes that we want to try that we can't wait to go back!

When you read the reviews below, most people know what this restaurant is and how it works. My…read moreresponse is less harsh about the service or it's overpriced charcuterie board concept. I have lived in BR for 6 years now. Many departments at LSU take guests there and in that time, Building 5 has done nothing to improve its parking lot. The restaurant sits underneath an overpass and the parking is pothole marked unpaved gravel. This means that there is no room for wheelchairs or accommodations for anyone who is differently-abled to get into the restaurant. The whole restaurant makes no room for handicapped persons. On the occasion I did get food, the food is slightly overpriced. All meats were cooked adequately but the food was lukewarm probably owing to sitting in the kitchen under the heat lamp than being delivered promptly. When I have gone, I regularly have to ask for refills on soda as I am the designated driver often for department functions. Servers pay you no heed if you do not buy alcohol. Because I go here because of academic reasons, I would barely go here myself. I've been here many times and found it wanting. It's an ableist place in its infrastructure. It's fine I'm atmosphere as a cocktail bar but would little recommend it to people I call friend.
