    Fantastic Chicken Marsala Meal !!!

I ordered the Baked Ziti with Meat Sauce, lighter on the cheese last night before leg night at the gym. The order was really delicious, meaty, cheesy and contained well. The ground meat was well-seasoned and the cheese was definitely abundant, but not over the top thankfully to where you see nothing else. I removed some excess cheese on my own. The red sauce is a bit oniony and kind of sweet. I always really liked it and is unique in a way. Most places don't make baked ziti to my preference when I tried them in the past, but this one at Prima Pasta and also the one from Angelo's in Webster nail it for me, despite being very different recipes. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Very good desserts if you have room afterwards.

The 3 stars is for the customer service ONLY. So I was visiting Houston and this place was open late night. I was craving some pasta. It looked good on DoorDash so I ordered the food was just OK. The pasta was decent. The soup was absolute trash and the salad was a salad the reason I gave this restaurant Customer Service a three star was because there was a mixup with my DoorDash order and I was double charged and never received my first order and when I called to have the situation rectified the young man that answered the phone was very kind and patient and helped me get my issue resolved. The food was good, but it was way overpriced, especially for the portions.

Beautiful atmosphere. Friendly welcoming staff. The garlic bread was 10/10. My husband got the prima peperone and I got the chicken parmesan pizza. So good!

Had lunch here today. Small quaint italian spot. The restaurant and staff were great. Had the LA Bravura and it was delicious. With a side salad as it sounded good.

Food was absolutely delicious!!!!!! The place was absolutely beautiful! The servers were super nice and friendly!!!

    Pasta was yummy

Absolutely amazing! I honestly didn't have high expectations walking in here, but the service was good, the food was great, music was great, ambiance amazing!

    Calamari

Makes me so sad but this is genuinely some of the worst food I've ever eaten. The calamari tasted like straight corn starch. All the pastas were somehow flavorless and also very gross

We have driven past Prima Pasta too many times to count, but had not tried it until friends suggested going there for a group lunch. What a great recommendation! Our large party was warmly greeted by the owner and staff upon arrival and escorted to a long table for lunch. Questions were ably and courteously answered by waitstaff. As a warning, the portions are very generous. My husband and I ordered a grande Caesar Salad to start, and it was huge. We ended up taking half of it home to eat for dinner. Hubby ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs, and the Marinara Sauce was one of the best we have found in Houston. The pasta was perfectly Al Dente, and the meatballs were savory and herbaceous. We ended up taking most of it home. I couldn't decide what to order, so I opted for the Antipasti appetizer which offered Sampler, which featured meatballs, Italian Sausage, Marinara Sauce, Chicken Parmagiana, Sauteed Vegetables and Shrimp Scampi. We split the Antipasti and had no room to eat the pasta dish, so it made 2 lovely dinners the next evening. We will definitely come back and try some of the other menu options.

I had this Italian restaurant bookmarked for a while and finally visited for dinner last week after attending a nearby meeting. When I walked in I immediately liked the interior which had a homey neighborhood and cute feel to it. There is a small bar inside along with an L shaped dining room along with some covered outside seating too. I ordered the La Bravura entree for $18. It arrived less than 15 minutes later with some complimentary french bread toasted and buttered. It was a large plate of meat sauce and meat balls with sautéed mushrooms, onions and bell peppers on a bed of spaghetti. I enjoyed every bite. The marinara had good flavor, the meat balls were soft and tender with no knife needed to cut them and the vegetables were cooked properly. Very simply it was a delicious and filling meal that I would be happy to order again. Table service was prompt and professional. Prima Pasta is a very good restaurant and while I don't frequent this part of town often, I will return.

Great old school neighborhood Italian. No anise in meatballs (I hate anise). Extensive menu. Highly recommend.

Some of y'all are silly gooses Anyway, my friend and I came by on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy! The inside of the restaurant is decorated with so many Italian knick knacks which gives this place a cozy vibe. Instead of ordering an appetizer and an entree, my friend and I decided to order 3 things from the appetizer menu: Arancini Montanare Impepata Napoletana The arancini was delicious! The exterior/crust wasn't too thick and was fried nicely. As for the filling, it had cheese, beef, and tomato sauce- yum! I really enjoyed the montanare because it came with 3 different toppings. Not to mention, the bread was fantastic! All 3 were great but my favorite was the one with smoked provolone, anchovy, and the red chili on top (I believe that's what the red topping is). The Impepata Napoletana was another solid dish- loved the white wine sauce with garlic and pepper. Although it was a tad bit too salty for me, it paired nicely with the bread. For dessert, my friend got the pistachio gelato and I ordered the Tiramisu. Both were a great way to end dinner. Food was wonderful, our waiter was very friendly/welcoming, and the vibes were lovely. This spot is a gem!

It is a family place - kids everywhere, climbing booths and kicking seats - not the staff's fault, but know that your kiddos will feel at home here. Staff was very apologetic but was unable to offer any of their specialty items due to understaffing or lack of availability of ingredients (server was unclear). Drove an hour and a half for nothing, it seems. Disappointing... What we did get was tasty, but it wasn't what I wanted and therefore did not redeem the trip. The cost was not worth it, in my opinion.

Then onto the Cacio e Pepe Arancini. Cacio e Pepe is my favorite pasta, so I was a little disappointed they don't have it on the menu as a dish itself, but the arancini was delicious! For mains, my husband had the salmon. We ordered it medium and it came more well done, however, it was perfectly crispy on the outside and still moist in the center. Very tasty. I had the ricotta cavatelli, which might be the best pasta I've ever had. The shrimp were so plump and fresh. There was plenty of crab throughout. And the flavor had the perfect amount of salt and spice. My husband, who isn't a pasta person loved it too. It's a nice open space and service was friendly. We will definitely return to try more things.

With that said, I was unfortunate to have encounter mold in the sauce. Luckily I didn't heat it up. There's no preservatives so it doesn't last as long. They need to have a way to date the containers for each items they make. I just bought it last night and was quite upset when I was making late dinner. As soon as I got home, I kept everything refrigerated. Luckily I didn't mix it in with the pasta so I end up using a different sauce I already had on hand. Pasta are delicious and I would come back, if I'm in the area and planning to cook it within the same day or next. I don't think I can try any of their sauce. My tip to you is to inspect all of your items prior to purchasing. Limited parking right in front but didn't see any other customers there. The lady at the register was nice but limited English.
