Authentic thin-crust NYC style pizza with excellent texture! The flavor didn't blow me away, but you can tell they use quality ingredients. Since this was our first time at Primavera we sampled some appetizers as well. They have really good wings and garlic knots, but the knots should have been hotter... (Why do so many pizza places bring me lukewarm knots?!? Cmon guys, this shouldn't be difficult!) They don't have much of a dining room and since we there in January we got a blast of cold air every time someone opened the door, so this is really more of a take-out or delivery place unless you're just stopping in for some quick slices. To give you some background information I grew up in west-central New Jersey where we pride ourselves in our pizza. Anyone who has been raised in NJ will attest that our pizza exceeds New York's. It has been very troublesome finding a suitable pizza place in Clifton Park or the Capital Region for that matter since I moved here over a year ago. Primavera Pizza brought me back home. FOOD: Very good pizza. They specialize in the thin crust style, and it's not too greasy. I got a standard pepperoni pizza, and it tasted just the way I remembered NJ pizza. I also ordered a 12-piece buffalo wings done medium, and they were equally as good. Their wings aren't tiny like Pizza Hut's or some other mom n' pop places locally, and they cooked just right. For $6.95 I entreat you to find a better value on wings elsewhere. SERVICE: I placed a to-go order via the phone, and it went smoothly. The girl taking my order was respectful and addressed me as sir (After all, I'm a paying customer and not someone's best friend.). She gave me my total and said it'd be about 20 minutes, which was accurate. I didn't have to wait long after I arrived. VALUE: In my opinion this place offers a great bang for the buck. As I mentioned before the wings were $6.95 for 12 large wings, and that is something you rarely find in 2013. The pepperoni pizza was a 14" for $11.45 ($9.95 plain + $1.50 for toppings), and though that is slightly above what you would pay at Pizza Hut, Dominos, or Papa John's, you can definitely taste the quality difference. Their pizza just tastes a lot fresher which to me is worth the premium. TL;DR: Primavera Pizza offer the best value for your money when it comes to pizza and wings as well as the friendly service. I'm new to the area and after trying a disappointing pizza place in Malta (the pizza was "eh"/needed salt & the garlic knots were tiny & only tasted oily) & being skeptical of how good the pizza up here could be, I'm SO glad I gave this place a shot! I didn't have to do a thing to the pizza and the garlic knots were awesome (4/$2, but a good size & the right amount of seasoning!). I got a plain pie--though I like chicken parm pizza & chicken bacon ranch--thinking that if a place can't make a basic pie, why pay more for something "tougher?" I have been a loyal, regular customer for 2 years or so. No problems or complaints during that time. Recently, my phone order was incorrect, more than doubling the price, and when I pointed it out, the owner (manager?) assured me I would be refunded the price of the extra pizza. I wasn't. Went back, still no refund. Tonight i called 67 times for 35 minutes straight. Their phone would not accept my call. I am done with them. Terrible service. Moving on to the Red Front and/or Caputos. We called for delivery after our regular pizza place closed permanently. We got the large rectangular pizza and it was delicious! Since this was my first experience at this pizza my initial try was not the best. The place is clean and the guys behind the counter were friendly. The prices are excellent and the choices were great. The problem was-- the pizza seemed like it was sitting for a long time. It was 12:30 and the pizza should have been fresher tasting. I stopped on a whim one Friday. Ordered a meatball sub. This was absolutely the best meatball sub ( with cheese) I ever had. I grew up and lived for almost 30 years in and around NYC, and upon moving to beautiful Saratoga County, one of the few down sides I found about doing so was the pizza selection...that is until Primavera opened up and I gave it a whirl! This place has by far the best pizza around and the closest you'll come to the real deal (don't mean to sound like a snob, but how can anyone dispute that NYC has the best pizza?). Delicious pizza at a good price... Funny shaped slices because they have smaller pies so the slices are equilateral triangles. $4 for two regular slices and a soda is a good deal.
